  1. I voted boobies. I'm a boobies guy.
  2. Don't forget that we, the Mospeada fans, are all around our 30's now, which means we've just began to be a collector's market target for manufacturers with a few decades for milking ahead of us. It might take a few years, but I'm a patient guy. Heck! In 30 years from now Bandai may even release a super deluxe 1/35 Special Edition combo in a glass case for those among us who have a nice pension and a condo in Florida.
  3. I'm pretty sure we haven't seen the ultimate Legioss/TREAD combo. Companies such as Yamato and Bandai with even more obscure transforming toys than these under their belt, will surely pick up the license sooner or later, seeing how much interest there's still on Mospeada and how much room for improvement there is over the current products. And now that CM's and Toynami raised the bar making the Beta a must, I'm sure well see a better engineered combo sometime down the road. Of course that timing is a concern since you don't want to flood the market with such a niche product, but I'm sure it will happen.
  4. So you're saying there's no way of producing a better Alpha toy?
  5. Nice scheme! BTW, I did a quick search about this kit and the other two modes don't bother me in the slightest. One question tho': is it somewhat perfect transformation? I'm not much of a modeler but I might give this kit a shot since I really like the VF-19s Blazer.
  6. It seems to me that Tommy Yune was trying to sculpt the head on his own style. I don't think he gives a damn for anime accuracy.
  7. Double Post. The post below is the good one.
  8. I'd say the Phalanx is next since it shares the Tomahawk and Defender's lower body. But I can't wait to see what Yamato does with the Spartan design.
  9. Fifbeat: The next MH should be the Dark cannon fodder but there's no release date yet AFAIK.
  10. Great link, SH. Thanks. Neither look like Scott/Stig anyway, so I'm okay with any. The package of the Beagle version is amazing, but I don't display boxes so who cares. I'm not digging the electric blue visor. Too bad the plaque on the Toynami version won't say Mospeada, but it's a nitpick, really. I only hope that Toynami don't screw up their partnership with Beagle before all versions are out. Come to think of it, it may be safer to go with the Beagle versions in the first place.
  11. Ooooh! I can't wait to custom sticker up my OD. Gotta get me some more custom stickers.
  12. We should have seen pics of the Bartley by now. Maybe they're delaying it to avoid competition with the CM's one?
  13. I hope this is the case. The rare VF's are the only reason why I keep lurking around here.
  14. Nice! So the sensor bay is "poseable" as well. I'm so glad I ordered this. Now all we need is Yamato to do a battle damaged version. No Destroid diorama is complete without a banged up Destroid.
  15. Considering how much Bandai is charging for the 25's, the 1/100 line could include all the less popular mecha and still be a very good business.
  16. The latch on the Proto you're talking about is a separate piece, so it's not a big improvement for me. I wouldn't mind a slot on the chest plate if that makes for a stronger connection, but I'm sure Yamato could've come up with a better design solution. They just wanted to experiment with magnets IMHO.
  17. I'm very happy with my Red (after I had those shoulders replaced, of course). I love it because it's the first Garland I saw (as most folks around here, in "Robotech, the Untold Story"), so for me it's a classic design and very close to my hart. I only wish Yamato didn't used those weak a$$ magnets, I'm all about pegs, but the same can be said about the Proto Garland.
  18. You're kidding, right? Those are the side covers included with the GBP armor.
  19. And since VFX is cannon, Aegis must be a true Focker.
  20. Maybe someone around here with the skills and enough love for the 11 would like to try and engineer a storable system for larger vertical fins as his next project and sell the kits to us, as I don't see Yamato revisiting that particular issue anytime soon. I know some MWers have a few good ideas already.
  21. You're not missing anything. Just think in the trailer from The Day After Tomorrow and add more water.
  22. I'm not interested in any of the 25's, model or toys, but I'd get any other rare Valk that has no chance of seeing the PT larger scale treatment in the near future, like the VF-2ss. As for the F licence, I think the VF-171 could be made PT at 1/100 due to the simplicity of the transformation. Then again, I don't think Bandai would risk their two lines to compete with each other so they'll probably just make it parts swapping galore anyway.
  23. Oh, no! Rick Astley is dead!
  24. And I already want to see the Ravens scheme.
