I've been flirting with the idea of a Stealth Q-Rau custom for some time now.
-
I'd take a Purple Rau over a Max any day.

Ask RuskiiVFaussie. He's nuts about the Revy Revoltech figure and I think he was making a custom Millia figure of it.

Star Wars toys

I just grabbed the old "AOTC" Speeder Bike with Clone Trooper. I've been after one of these for quite sometime now. The Clone Trooper figure is rubbish (as expected). I got it mainly for the bike: the most accurate 1/18 Speeder Bike so far. Only problem is that the Clone Trooper that comes with it seems to be the only figure capable of riding it. I never missed ball jointed hips so much. I guess Hasbro is waiting 'till the last minute to add those so they can sell us all the characters all over again. -
What are you, ten?

I don't remember if the lineart includes landing gear (I think not, mainly because it's not included in the script, so why bother designing it?), but if Yamato were to release a Ghost, I think a retractable landing gear as a feature is a given.

Poll - which 1/60 VF would you like to see next from Yamato?
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Graham's topic in Toys
Seeing how committed Yamato is to the M7 license right now, my guess is they merely wanted to see if we were in the same page, and that they already have scheduled all next year's Valks and all from M7. Maybe once that gets covered, we'll have a chance to see the VF-4 and VF-2ss. That's too bad for me since I wanted to see the VF-2 w/ SAP in 1/60 scale very badly. But as I said earlier, I'd try to get as many VFs as possible eventually. -

Isn't it in Bandai's VF-100's list also? I can't wait for that to happen. -

Yeah. I guess we'll have to hold on with the toys we have for a looong while. -
The Megazone 23 Garland By Yamato Thread
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Renato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Nah! Back in the day when Yamato where more devoted to the franchise, one could only guess which figure would be next. Shaorin: As for Shogo, the problem is not the rider, but the bike. The engineering doesn't allow for any figure (other than the ugly ones that come with the bikes) to fit inside. I've been pestering for a fully articulated Shogo figure since this thread started but it wouldn't fit in the cockpit in Slave Maneuver mode anyway. Yamato had the expertise to pull a nice figure when they made the first Garland (check out the amazing Chirico Cuvie figure they did for their Votoms line of toys), but only those skinny curved legs would do the trick. Ask >EXO<. He knows what I'm talking about.- 1056 replies

Poll - which 1/60 VF would you like to see next from Yamato?
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Graham's topic in Toys
The reason the VF-19 is not at the top of my list (tho' I like the design very much, specially the Blazer Valk), is because Yamato already gave us a good idea of what the Fighter and Battroid proportions would be and I'm not too thrilled about them. If it ended looking more like the old Bandai 1/100 kit, I'd be all over it, but I think Yamato's obsession with Fighter modes really killed the Battroid mode this time. I hope when Yamato decides to make the VF-19 they revise the overall proportions to give it a better, sturdier looking battroid with bigger intakes and higher hips. My 2 cents. -
I have that figure and it didn't came with those parts either. My guess is those come with another figure from the same wave of toys.

Poll - which 1/60 VF would you like to see next from Yamato?

Why? Because you don't like the winner? The option clearly states "From Macross II" If you can't distinguish between shows then you're not a Macross fan. -
Bandai VF100's Official Thread Ver.2
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I just stumbled with this old bookmark I have. I Understand that this is a partsformer, but just for one piece (the lower torso/hip section), for the rest I think the proportions of this 19s are amazing. And is also a Bandai. I wonder why they felt they needed to resculpt the Kay from the ground up. -
Bandai VF100's Official Thread Ver.2
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I'd very much like to see Bandai's take on the YF-21 and VF-22. Not too crazy about the Yamato's proportions. I understand is a tough one, but it's always interesting to see another company tackle the inherent problems of a design with a different perspective. -
Poll - which 1/60 VF would you like to see next from Yamato?
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Graham's topic in Toys
I think the poll is fine. It shows the purchase priorities of the members in general, but by no means lack of interest in the less favored. Let's not forget that Yamato won't be releasing all these VF's at the same time, so once any of these Valks gets released, the priorities of the collectors will shift to other Valks and we'll have to make a new poll. -
Poll: Yamato 1/60 Legioss/TREAD Combo
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Lonely Soldier Boy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Agreed that 1/60 would be too small to be a real improvement (a retractable landing gear would be almost impossible in such a small toy). I too think that the Toynami/Aoshima have the right size for a fun toy with good engineering, but it'd be interesting to see Yamato give the L/T Combo the Ingram treatment (amazing engineering, insane detail amount, more features than expected, etc), and 1/32-35 would be the perfect scale for that purpose. Not exactly the ideal toy to zoom around the house, but a must have nevertheless. -

Are there Max & Millia colors of the VF-4 too? Man, that pair must have a huge hangar for their collection of blue and red Variable Fighters! Talking about corruption -

I'm a big fan of the Blazer myself, not too keen on Basara's tho'. Too Power Rangers-esque for my tastes. If Yamato makes a VF-19, I think I'd hold for the Blazer. -
Poll: Yamato 1/60 Legioss/TREAD Combo
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Lonely Soldier Boy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
To Save and Cap: I'm not being delusional here. As I stated before, I don't expect Yamato to pick up the glove RIGHT NOW nor anytime soon. The question is not whether you think Yamato will do a combo or not. The question is will you be interested in Yamato doing a combo. -
Poll: Yamato 1/60 Legioss/TREAD Combo
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Lonely Soldier Boy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I agree there'll be some compromises to be made, but at this point Yamato knows very well what collectors expect from their transforming planes. Their current standards assures you you'll get at least: a TREAD with retractable landing gear, the closest to Lineart accuracy as possible, tons of detail, all the features they can pack on both crafts, and a decent engineering (i.e. tight joints, secure locking mechanisms, etc). -

Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Graham's topic in Toys
'Xcept the SAP is like a decade earlier. I don't get why so many people here feel so threatened by the VF-2ss taking the head of the poll, they have to bash it. It doesn't mean Yamato won't address the other VFs eventually. Heck, it doesn't even mean they'll go ahead and make the 2ss either! As long as I can afford them, I'll try to get every Yamato 1/60 Valk available, just like everyone else. Edit: Grammar. -
Poll: Yamato 1/60 Legioss/TREAD Combo
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Lonely Soldier Boy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I agree with Eugimon and EXO. That's why I'm certain a Yamato combo would make a heck of a toy. Edit: BTW, I didn't bother polling the Ridearmor, because I thought that corpse was still warm, but I'm confident that somebody (hopefully Yamato) will pick up the glove and finish the line someday soon. Maybe we should poll it also? -
Poll: Yamato 1/60 Legioss/TREAD Combo
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Lonely Soldier Boy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I doubt Yamato would jump on the Legioss/TREAD project right now even if they were really interested in doing them. It's too soon, and some people still feel ok about their Toynamis/Aoshimas and or CMs's (not to mention spent), but there's the possibility that Yamato gives us a high end larger scale Combo eventually (A la Patlabor or Scope Dog), when the economy gets better. Lately they seem very interested in making ultimate scale toys as their contribution to licenses already being expoloited by other companies.
