  1. OOOHHHH SNAP!! That's f##king gorgeous! But then again, did we expext anything less from Tenjin?
  2. Word - I voted for the VF-11 too!! So I sure as hell put down an order for one... or two! Weeee!
  3. Just wait for iGear to release their scaled down MP seekers plus their MP versions of the coneheads - they look bad ass. Personally I'm going to get Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp, they'll fit in nicely with Henkei Megs and the other classics.
  4. Got the first and this book this morning. Just gorgeous. Would have loved to.see more pics from Chronicle, like the Q.Rau, I'm assuming Tenjin did that pic too? In any case, beautiful books to have.
  5. In related news, just got an email from HLJ saying that they just shipped my copy of the first tenjin book!
  6. Same here! Thanks for the heads up!
  7. Against my better judgment, I post this:
  8. So, can someone clear this up for me - the first 2 seasons of Clone Wars (2D) have nothing to do with this (3D) Clone Wars series? Cause as mentioned above, Anakin seemingly killed Ventress in the other series...
  9. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say he'll meet up with Robo-legs Maul. I actually thought Robo-Maul was a cool idea. Hear me out... Imagine for a moment that Maul survived the fall in ep1 somehow and Sidious gave him robo-legs, a prototype for Vader perhaps. Further pretend that Dooku's role in episode 2 and 3 is replaced by Robo-Maul (Dooks is cool and all, but really necessary?), again escaping the Jedi's capture and schooling Obi-wan and Anakin and Yoda too, fleeing in his Infiltrator. He once again causes havoc for the Jedi in episode 3 with Grievous but is killed by Anakin. I think is also legitimizes Grievous as a character too, his prosthetic body the next stage in robo-suitedness - a precursor to what will happen to Anakin. Makes more sense than introducing a new villain every movie. We'd then see a progression and depth to Maul as a character for episodes 1-3. Oh well, a nerd can dream. So yeah I reckon a robo-legs Maul coming up.
  10. HLJ have got the DOU's for dale again, up to 65% off! Nabbed me a CF VF-1A and another VF-1J for a possible VF-1D conversion.
  11. Wow,wow, WOW! Those customs are AWESOME!!! I could see a huge market for customizations of the GN-U's (had they not been canceled and other optional parts available), if only the price point was a bit lower. Next time they're on sale, I'll definitely get a few more for customs, yeah boyeee! Hmm, now I wanna take a few photos of my gang!
  12. Still, I love me some head-laser action! I absolutely go SQWEEEEE everytime Roy makes his grand entrance into the arena in ep.4... screen caps and gifs for your pleasure Does the Octos have energy converting armour at all? Seems the first barrage of blasts from the VF-0 do no damage to the hull, but do make boom-boom when they hit the internal/articulation joints (and the mid-air missile)... Cool to see the Octos has head-lasers too
  13. I have the original release PP01, he's a fine figure. Alt mode fits in with the rest of the classics - his bot mode however towers over the like of Hotrod and Hound, but it's not too huge... But next to Henkei Megatron, he's a little big. Mine fits together pretty well, joints are all tight and it feels more durable than fragile if I had to pick - not as robust as the classics, I certainly wouldn't hand it to my 11yo nephew for a play. Most definitely a kick-ass poseable figure for display. I think the type of plastic used lends to this - it's not bad, I wished they would have used something a little more... not cheapish looking/feeling? Don't get me wrong - once in hand this is a mighty figure! From what little I skimmed over the updates (once u buy a product from them, they put you on a mailing list and facebook) there have been improvements over the first one, mainly the pegs to hold it together in vehicle mode and something about the arms/elbow - iirc. EDIT - Forgot to mention the optional hands (with individual articulating fingers) tht came with mine were sooooo loose and a few of the finger bits kept falling off or were just too floppy - just stuck with the regular hands it came with, no biggie. The extra head it came with and display base now proudly is blu-tacked on top of my monitor, lol.
  14. Agreed - the original price point was waaaay too high, 900ish yen is good tho. I would go as far as 1500ish yen, certainly not the 3000 and upwards they're usually going for.
  15. Damn... If only they'd set a lower price point to begin with. Well, that's the end of this thread.
  16. The revoltechs - although secnd to none for posing, feel cheap (plastic quality) and are just a tad too small for me, although I do thing the PPB discs and stand are very awesome. I had a hard time deciding which I'd get between the Dou's and the Revoltechs - back when the price was an issue. I like the Dou's faithfulness to the line art and the amount of articulation is fantastic considering the limitations they had. Hahaaha - yeah, the slots for the 21's gunpods are a bit silly, sorta dropped the ball on that one... damn, now I wish I had another 21 just for the extra gunpod I must say tho - the FAST pack additions to the 19 and 21 are really a must buy, not for the FAST pack themselves - but for the extra articulation and movement for both the figures - glad I got them. The 19 can pose in a much more dynamic A-frame stance and the 21 can get more of a hip swivel and move the backpack a whole bunch more. I found with my VF-1's that most parts needed tightening up - the hips, torso and head ball joints, the super glue trick sorted that all out, also had to glue the chest piece in cause it was too loose. But the Mac Plus valks are all noice and toight, yesh yesh Hmmm, yes - a fighter mode companion would've just been the icing on the cake - and yeah, at the very least feet swivel, wing swing back and opening cockpit with a stand would be good. Who know, maybe down the road? And with all the parts formers now - I honestly wouldn't mind that much if you could swap parts out to make a gerwalk... So anyways - no news on future releases of the line? Or if the line is kaput?!
  17. I've recently boosted my mecha ranks with a few of the GN-U Dou figures - and I gotta say, goddamn - they're sexy. HLJ had 'em on sale a while back and the price was too good to refuse, so I got me the YF-19 + FAST pack (weathering edition), YF-21 + FAST pack (weathering edition), VF-11 + FAST pack (weathering edition), VF-1J, VF-1S and Max's VF-1A. Once in hand and on display I had to splurge and I then ebay'd the VF-19 & VF-11 VFX2 editions. I've scoured the net and various forums, but I can't seem to find much more info on future releases or if this line will continue... most I heard was that there was a Super/Strike pack maybe coming up for the VF-1's??? They certainly seem to have a removable part to allow the addition of the parts needed. Anyone help me out here? They're dead sexy - pretty posable and have a great finish and weight to them, joints are really nice and snug and the details on them are really great. I'd highly recommend them to anyone who was on the fence about getting them. They just look gorgeous all together. I also got the Queadlunn Rea Damashii and it fits in nicely with them... Now thinking about getting the VF-25 Damashii's to go along with the group, or possibly the 1/100 VF-25's... even tho all I seem to read about them is negative (really just happy to have them in Battroid, would roughly be in scale with the Dou's). Seeing as they employ the modular inner skeletal system - I would absolutely LOVE if Yamato brought out a line of Zentran and Meltran mecha... especially some Renegade Power armour or some movie style N-Gers or Q.Raus... Imagine that! Anyways... anyone else have them? Anyone thinking about getting them - thoughts?
  18. The Steelhaven Cross section: On page 154 - 155 I believe.
  19. That's a shame - you're missing out on the sweet pic I did for the Almanac 2
  20. That's cause EJ Su designed him http://ej-su.deviantart.com/art/Cyclonus-h...oncept-85706614
  21. Isn't Television = Terebi? At least thats what i was taught.
  22. Heh - good episode, Bulkhead is starting to get really cool now, not just the annoying one that says 'my bad' all the time... I too got a very strong Devastator vibe from those guys - so u reckon we might get to see an animated Devastator?
  23. Very nice! So whens the gerwalk coming along?!?!
  24. Now I feel the need to pimp my own TF fan art http://kurisama.deviantart.com/art/How-It-...o-This-95345755 http://kurisama.deviantart.com/art/Autobot...ntier-102738960 Lulz
  25. Looks very much like a VF-2SS - maybe this is the inspiration for it?
