Make sure the the shoulder plates/pauldrons are flush with the chest piece to indicate the arms are as snug as possible - when u place the gunpod between the arms, make sure u massage it well and that everything is flush, once it is push the forearms (holding them together) and push again towards the chest - making sure again that the shoulder plates are flush with the chest piece. Place the legs and snap everything into place - and the gun should be fairly straight - some slight twisting should get it into position.

Heeeeeeeey guys - long time no update - been hella busy, but the semester is near an end and I can get back to this and some other projects Thought I'd post some pics of my next venture with this, what do you think of the placements?

Ah, doh - epic face palm. As a Macross freak for almost 20 years, I feel a great shame for over looking this. I bring great dishonour to my clan. I guess I was looking for a difference in paint scheme.

I don't see any difference between the DYRL and TV CF-VF-1A? The hands would be different I guess?

I hope there are attachment points for the VF-1 missiles, so u can display it like that custom 1/72. Otherwise for accessories, perhaps a different cowling/head for the antennae variant. Will it come with a gunpod?

Yar, my gunpod on the 1D isn't toight like on my other VF-1's. Also, the orange plastic on the chest is a slightly different colour to the other orange parts - I guess from being cast in orange as opposed to painted on. It looks nearly transparent in some areas... Also some of the tan areas have this inconsistant colour match problem - also the clip that hooks the back pack to the back in battroid it slightly skewed/crooked in fighter mode... oh well - still looks delicious. One other thing is - that the head lasers and general shape of the head isn't accurate to the show - not as 'bubbly', i guess shapeways will fix that.
