I caved and got a TV Max. Almost got a DYRL Hikaru 1A, but it's a version 1 hip and it'll be on sale again. The VF-11 is tempting, but does one really need a forth 'B?

I'd love an official Yamato release of it - means I wouldn't have to make it! My personal wish list would be all the things I intend to make as well as the X-9, VF-2SS VF-2JA and an Octos That thing is bad ass.

Update time! Been back at work and what not - so progress on this has been slow... Everything you see here is at different stages of production, from only primed and needing more sanding (hubs), to partially clear coated, or decals or not clear coated... ANYWAYS, enjoy - I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Fair enough, haha. Don't get me wrong, I'd like to have one or two (to make a custom head and paint scheme, lol) but that price point is just loco. Maybe I'm just old fashioned. Yeah, most ppl are left perplexed once they hear about or see my Macross collection... And I mention how much I've spent... LOL!

You guys are nuts, lol. The price is ridiculous. For that price, for me - the valk would have to be PERFECT. To me, it isn't... That head sculpt leaves a lot to he desired - Dat recessed chin and lack of any visual interest kills it for me. Not to mention what looks like a solid chunk up top for the chest + pauldrons, which seem to lack any shoulder articulation. The feet are also lack luster in battroid... They don't look related to other valkyries... Lack valk DNA. The knee spikes also ruin it for me as again, I feel the design is an after thought. Gerwalk looks terrible, I'm a massive fan of gerwalk - I think this is due to the feet design and awkward placement of limbs. Fighter mode looks amazing tho. But $400 for a plane only is crazy. I really think the scratchbuilt VF-4 batrroid (don't know who made it) looks far better - both in proportions, design and general bad assness. Oh noes my opinion is against the grain! PPB system, ENGAGE!

I haven't tried it myself but from what I've read on the boards, its a super glue job. Add a drop to the underside on the exposed pin and work back and forth until it dries. I have to do it to ky Nora one day, but its a bit scary! We should really have a thread that collects all the how-to's and DIY fixes... -

I'll get back to this really soon guys - the painting/assembly of my custom Rau is taking up my spare time at the moment. It is almost done, then back to this. Although cryptic posts from Graham have me paranoid that the VF-0D may get an official release, if not maybe renewals or rereleases of the VF-0s soonish. So maybe i'll give up on this, or just make it available anyways as it may be cheaper than any official releases.
