I dont wanna be a party pooper, cause I'd probably do the same things, lol - but wouldn't the point bit act as a lever and snap your neck in a bad fall?

Thanks guys! You're all making me feel better about the purchase - besides, my Nora was getting lonely I do hope Bandai releases a CF 27, so I can have Nora's, the CF '51 & Brera's all grouped together :3

Never be ashamed of your stock Valks! My paint customs are basic, but I love them! It wasn't that long ago I'd never customized such a big toy or expensive one - but you gotta start somewhere! Yeah... Anime Export - I had been eye balling it for a while! I'm certainly looking forward to it! Can't wait to pull it apart and custom it a bit.

$275 AUD, not bad considering... I guess - thats what I'm trying to convince myself of! Have plans to paint white accents and nose cone like a TV VF-1A CF - maybe some digi-desert-camo?

Urgh - caved and bought a CF SV-51... I'm happy and sad at the same time.

Then why have they shown the Roy colour on top of the Honda petrol tank>? Anyways, they're going to upload their FB in 2 weeks with production shots - as per their e-mail to me.
-
Same here, sent an e-mail too.

How does one measure ones head for this thing? They come in different sizes right? And yeah, final production shots from a few angles would be great.

Hey buddy - sorry, didn't see ur edited post! I used a different technique on that kit - basically, I made the panels all separate with a slight bevel on all edges - and placed the pieces together like a real-world construction, and added an inner support (low poly) to hold it all together 'cause i had like a half mm gap between he pieces. Make sense?

Managed to bag one at NY too - I still have faith the HL will come though soon, again - and be available after release there too for not that high of a mark up, if at all. Good luck to everyone! For those missing out - try 'Page Monitor' for Chrome, set it to check every 30 seconds or whatever - but pick an element to check, not the whole page, otherwise it'll alert every minute or so due to the adds on the page for other products!

Goddamn. So jelly, I'm wobblin'. -
This is cool!

Spay paint definitely. You can take your VF-0 head or other pieces to a hobby shop and try and colour match to the spray lids - or similar. I'm going to try and match it later this year when I do my conversion. If u can wait that long.

Frosted ultra detail and frosted detail are good as their surface is very smooth and detail sharp - but they don't have a good amountof strength. Strong white and flexible has a rougher surface, but it's sandable - it's real value is its structural strength. Good for head lasers

No offence intended and no apologies needed, dude. You weren't in any sort of contract to buy it! What I'm saying is that if it's Macross or transformers related, and I also wouldn't mind having that piece: good chance of making it. If I'm not interested in having it, but there is enough interest - good chance of making it. If I'm not interested in making it or owning it, but there is enough interest - I will strongly consider it and factor in my time and effort onto the final cost. Someone wants some thing from another anime or whatever, then I'll make it if you offer a fair trade or a decent monetary incentive. Think about this - you walk into a regular cake shop that make normal, run of the mill cakes in 5 different flavors. You walk in and ask for a custom cake that they don't make and offer to pay the same amount as one of their regular cakes - or worse say 'no thanks' after they've made it. Ha, sick with WSF+polished for maximum strength.
-
Well, long and short of it is - if it's not Macross or Transformers, there is very little chance I will make it. I made this antennae for you, which would only need coat of paint, and you didn't buy it. No big deal, because it can benefit other people and it took less than half an hour to make and export. So why should I invest hours into making such a super-specific piece (from only photos) that may be relatively complicated to get a perfect fit (of which you didn't offer any sort of commission, unless i missed that) and not only is there a good chance that no one but you will buy it (its for an anime mech I'm not familar with)- and even then there is no guarantee you will purchase it either?

I replied in whatever thread it was u asked!
