Ah! Custom made decals are the way to go. I tried forever to make the F-14 ones work but could not get them to look right. You had me wondering how the hell you got them to work. Very, very nice!

I really need to finish putting the decals on my. edit: Nice job on getting the Tomcat tail decals to work for you -- I couldn't make them work for me.

Sound Force! Now, let's not turn this into an M7 bashing thread. The story of Tike and Tim could be called Macross II, Zero.

It's so, so sweet!

Far away from the star sigma, a message came from Hades, who was sent to the earth in secret for the peace of the universe, saying that humans can put the universe in danger, so the earth must be destoryed (sic). In July 1999, Tike, with calmness charatar (sic), is sent to the earth by the king of sigma Uranus. Tike, use his power to get into the Tim's dead body, and using Tim's body starts to get in action. Nevertheless, Tike hides in forest so that human can't notice him. Then Tike meets Hades. Hades mades sure that Tike know that they must destroy the earth for the peace of the universe. But Tike, as he spent time with the friends of Tim's friend, tells to Hades that human do everything for the peace, and destroying the earth is a wrong thing to do. In result, Hades presents a great monster, and Tike presents the Macross defending the earth. The battle between them start. . . ! edit: spelled something correctly by accident

I was one of the "lucky" Jetfire customizers. I came across this beat up Jetfire, without armor at a comic book convention of all places. I wasn't into comics, but somebody said the conventions had Japanese "robot" stuff on occasion. Yup, I found Jetfire at a booth attended by a guy I swear the creators of The Simpsons modeled their comic book shop owner after. Took me forever to get the body odor and cheeze puff stains off of Jetfire! Back then, the $18 Jetfire cost me was the purchase of a lifetime.

My inner child is pissed that you gave false cause for excitement, but my grown-up bank account is relieved by the news.

The crappy part is, this is an item I want, but not at that insane price. My first Macross toy was one of these Convertors, and sadly, it got lost, long ago.

Do we have an official 1/55 scale thread? If not, maybe this can be it.

I agree. The hair sculpt doesn't bother me as much as the orange appearance. Also, I think the face looks a little generic and not really identifyable as Roy. Note, my comments are meant to be constructive, since this is supposed to be more than just another Roy sculpt (and the fact that this is an expensive Focker).

I just got my Max -1A in the mail, today (thanks to samurai m). I had no idea I was that far off on the blue.

Here's a pic of the nose cone and fast pack cover. Damn, the nose cone shot really shows what a crappy job I did cutting/applying the waterslide decal.

Yup! Actually, both tailfins have crooked skulls. Recap, Yamato let a Valkyrie out the door with three crooked skulls!
