  1. My simple mind just can't bridge the gap.
  2. Welcome to Macrossworld.com.
  3. ^ I'd actually like to have this piece of art; it's sort of a Picasso interpretation of a VF-1S.
  4. If Yamato does give us a 1/60 scale VF-11, size relative to the 1/60 YF-19 and 1/60 scale YF-21 won't be an issue, really. Yamato can simply tweak the size and have SK give it the thumbs-up as official -- this approach has been implemented before; I'm still confused about the whole official color of the 1/60 scale VF-0 Shin/CF/whatever.
  5. I wouldn't have a problem with a true 1/60 scale VF-11 if Yamato would use the same size box the YF-19 is packaged in. OK, add the words "TWO PACK" on the box and I'm sold.
  6. My question is whether the adverse chemical reaction between the PVC and ABS plastics can be prevented by coating the parts with some kind of sealer -- effectively isolating the PVC from the ABS. Of course, my question is only relevant to those who do not have stress marks or breakages already. Any plastics people or engineers please chime in.
  7. That looks alot like this one featured in ModelGraphix: http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/magazi...june02page5.jpg I looked at this one for a while, but as much as I admire it, there are some things I'm not overjoyed with. The red and silver/gun metal, used on the -19 in the pic you've attached are too hot for what I'm going for.
  8. I like the first one (in the pic of six) the best. Although, put some skull & crossbone decals on the v-stabs of your favorite, and it would be pretty close for me.
  9. edit: I should have added a fast pack and fold booster combo to keep this thread on topic -- my apologies.
  10. I don't know about a "stealth scheme," but I do like dark colors on the -19. This work-in-progress has been parked for some time in the variable fighter junkyard that is my table:
  11. Try the other Anime section for "Legioss" stuff.
  12. This is a comforting, if not exciting, statement.
  13. As much as I like the plain white, I guess I can see the "too plain" point of view. As I understand it, the -19 models weren't handed out to just any pilot, so I don't see them being painted in plain, regular fighter schemes. By contast, I could see the VF-11 models getting all kinds of low-vis, camoflage, and drab schemes, since the VF-11 was the workhorse.
  14. Hopefully, Yamato will offer this to us in the near future.
  15. After seeing a few members' custom creations, I've become a fan of the plain white look. I guess it's an acquired taste, like the VF-1A "Low Visibility" scheme.
  16. This is indeed good news for those of us who still play with toys.
  17. I agree. I am cautiously enthusiastic about the Aoshima offerings, because I don't have too many gripes about the Toynami sculpt -- I'd just like a few quality quirks ironed out. Of course, I do hope the CMs stuff we've seen does get some significant revisions. All in all, I'm glad Mospeada is getting some attention.
  18. I should visit this forum more often. It's been a while since I've had a Mospeada fix.
  19. I really hope the sarcasm in my most recent posts in this thread is clear.
  20. What? That's just like stirring up panic, like saying the sky is falling.
  21. It's obvious that many Macrossworld members are just idiots -- I mean, what's the deal? Anyone having problems with a Yamato toy is just a ham-fisted idiot who should simply stick to Gobots.
