I felt the same way until I realized the Low-Vis came with a pilot which was a new, different sculpt -- that pushed me over the edge for buying one. Oh, and go ahead and display it; it's not like the thing is going to suffer from yellowing or anything.

I've grown fond of "cheapass crap" over the years, as long as the "cheap" part is present. There's a place for it in my collection -- I even bought these.

Minor corrections: Kakizaki never got a -1S (he died in is -1A ) , and I'm not sure about Hikaru's trainer in SDFM -- I believe the much discussed one is the -1J Cannon Fodder.

I have an idea for a battroid chest locking mechanism. The tab in this pic could be modified into a hook to fit into the diamond-shaped hole. However, there will still be some movement in the battroid chest area, as is evident in this pic, but the chest section would definitely not completely flop down when the battroid is upside down.

I love the new Bullitt looks. If DHG was a color choice offered for the 2005 model, I would have opted for it. As much as I like the '08 Bullitt looks, however, I'm disappointed with its power (much like the 2001 Bullitt). It would have been nice to see a 5.0 modular under the Bullitt's hood, similar to the one in the Saleen PJ making 400 bhp. I do realize the cost would go up.

I can't wait to see this project completed. After you've finished this one, you won't want to see a roll of masking tape for a long while. I speak from experience. And, after all my masking, I still didn't really get the effect I wanted; I like Dobber's choice of colors better than what I went with.

Thanks for the how-to. Although the non-locking chest section hasn't annoyed me nearly as much as other members, I'll probably perform your mod.

If this is the case, then I'm very, very happy for the upcoming release of NMB4M's 1/48 scale two-seater and VF-4 Lightning III. Oh, and I forgot to request that Graham suggest the possibility of releasing any scale VF-1 Valkyrie repaints with beam swords and some feathered wings. I wonder if Graham would have bothered to mention this to them.

Automatics (at least the built-up ones) seem less lame when you get tired of breaking manual transmissions; then, there's the consistency thing on the dragstrip. . . Of course, I prefer to drive a manual transmission (both my cars are manual transmission types), but there will come a time where I'll bite the bullet and put in a built auto.

If Mazda released the RX-8 turbocharged from the factory, it would certainly have my attention. On a side note, a friend of mine had a Mazdaspeed Protege for a short time -- I only drove it once, but it was fun with the little extra boost my friend had.

I'd like the RX-8 alot better if I didn't know what an RX-7 was.
