You might want to consider a plan B, since you've already committed to the custom. I wish there was someone I knew of that could make what you need. In the meantime, I'm stuck hoarding the Macross water-slide decals I have left. I'd like a companion -21/-22 to go with my "Vampires" -19.
If you're not opposed to water-slide decals, then there are many generic number sets, etc. available. Since you've gone with black, the edges of stickers are going to really stand out -- something to think about.
Hurry up and show us. My intention with this (and the original) thread was to both rip off as well as contribute ideas. Of course, being a person of below-average intelligence, lots of pictures keep my attention.
I'm not only a little drunk, but a little confused. Despite the lighting (and my photographic ineptitude), I don't have one of these with white accents -- only the light blue.
For most viewers, my pics don't have the blur that ruskiiVFaussie has achieved with special defects, but if you get as drunk as me, they're plenty blurry. Remember, when using beer boosters, fold responsibly.
I will pick up one of these conversion kits when they become available; however, my messing around with paint hasn't been done in preparation for a -22 conversion. I'm not sure how much I even like the -22S.
I'm not sure which is "best," but the ones I've used without problems are:
Tamiya TS-80 Flat Clear;
Testors 1260 Dullcote; and
Testors 1960 Flat Lacquer.
Arthurius and eugimon, yeah, I've been playing with the accent colors again. Really, this looks good right out of the box -- I just wanted to see what other accent colors looked like.
I really like the third picture you posted. The stance on the -19 is perfect; if I may humbly suggest, turn the -21 more to the side, and think about a Tae Kwon Do posture and arm position. And, of course, don't forget the intake covers.
I don't bother to add up the actual money amount. It is enough for me to look at the pictures of the wife, kids, and beautiful house I used to have but lost. Always looking on the bright side, my collection doesn't get UV light in my new residence, under the highway bridge.
No need to thank me -- as ruskiiVFaussie pointed out, whoever Yamato has in charge of posing new toys for display must not enjoy his job much; it's as though this person went to great lengths to find the most un-flattering angles of this thing. To make the -21 look any more unappealing in the display and box photos, one would really have to put forth effort. As little as I know about photography, it's sad that I believe I could do a better job. Yamato needs to put member Swoosh on the payroll.
I hope you get some sense of satisfaction knowing lots of members are cheering you on for undertaking this project. I am very interested to see the pics you've promised.
