  1. Just got my Roy helmet... this thing is beautiful! lol Online pictures just don't do it justice, the white part (which looked yellow-tinted in some online photos), is actually pearl white. Is that the same for the Max and Hikaru helmets (for those of you that have it).
  2. Got both the Hikaru and Roy with the lights, so far shoulders are okay - but I also don't plan on transforming them that much... lol
  3. That is definitely a good point. Mine probably does have knurled pins, but definitely can't see any signs of it, at least without taking it out (or having the hinges crack).
  4. Can't be 100% sure what you'll get, but I just got those two and they came with smooth pins... but shoulder design still look the same as others.
  5. Just checked the following that I received: DYRL VF-1A Kakizaki - Smooth pins, no cracks / stress marks out of the box. DYRL VF-1S Max - Smooth pins, no cracks / stress marks out of the box. DYRL VF-1S Hikaru Plus (the one with light) - Smooth pins, no cracks / stress marks out of the box. DYRL VF-1S Roy Plus (the one with light) - Smooth pins, no crack, one part of the left shoulder have slight stress mark out of the box. Low Vis. VF-1S Roy - Smooth pins, no cracks / stress marks out of the box. That said, I've only transformed the slightly once. So they may crack / stress in the near future after some more transformations. I think the stress mark / cracks happens when you swing the arms out - that little nub that locks the arm in place when in Gerwalk/Battroid seems like a likely culprit? But you guys probably already know that... lol I took pics of them all, but I guess there's no point in uploading them since there's no damage (yet). *pic uploaded of that nub, hope you don't mind me re-using your pic, David*
  6. Poo..... I just received 4 v2 VF-1's (DYRL Roy, Hikaru, Max and Kakizaki) Will check out the shoulders and post pics in a bit (if broken).
  7. Nice RX-8! Who knows, helmet may be 1:1, comparing to some pictures and the figure..... LOL
  8. I'd love to have a 1:1 helmet Isamu wore in Macross Plus - now that's a pretty kick ass helmet! Looking at the size of these DYRL helmets, are they really 1:1? They're so huge - they remind me of TIE Fighter pilot helmets from Star Wars. LOL
  9. Ordered a Roy helmet and it's in shipment right now - can't wait to get it.
  10. Very clean images, Ale!
  11. More Sheryl!
  12. Sweet lens for sure, congrats! Liking the first pic with the VE-1 beside the lens. LOL
  13. Some pics of my new Sheryl Nome figure... More here...
  14. Yay! Just got one of my ordered Sheryl figures last night...
  15. This kind of question usually kills threads, majority of the time it turns into a pissing match. LOL Personally, I just prefer the Canon interface and ergonomics, as well as their L lenses. In the end, it really comes down to the man and not the machine. That said, I just took some macro shots of the Sheryl figure I got in the mail today - will post some pics tomorrow.
  16. By giving up your first born son?
  17. +1 on the MG shot!
  18. Just received my v2 VE-1, wow what a difference from the v1! It's also much lighter (in colour and weight), which isn't a bad thing. Might pick up more v2's later on, even if it'll duplicate my collection.
  19. Yeah, went from the 30D to 5D MKII - might've stuck with the 1.6x crop if they had announced the 7D earlier! But hey, it's full frame now and I can't complain! Loved the 10-22mm, it's true about what people/reviews say, that it's an L lens in an EF-S body. If you have a 1.6x crop body and need an ultra wide angle lens, the 10-22mm is definitely the one to get.
  20. Oh man, if that 24-70 f/2.8L IS comes out, I'm so over it! Personally I prefer to have a bit of an overlap between my lenses. I'm currently using the 16-35 with the 24-105. Needed a wide angle to replace the EFS 10-22mm. 14-24 sounds pretty slick though.
  21. Well, there is the EF 16-35 f/2.8L, great lens too. I wish Canon would come out with a 24-70 f/2.8L or 24-105 f/2.8L with IS.
  22. LOL, my wife was just poking fun at me about how stupid my glass display was and the stuff I put in there. Now I have proof I'm not the only one (someone out there have the same glass display as me and the kind of things being displayed)! LOL
  23. Should definitely try to think ahead a little when buying bags, majority of the time I see people buying a certain bag only to buy a new (larger) one rather quickly as the lens collection grows. lol Happened to me a couple times, I wonder why I ever got such a small case/bag that doesn't utilize space very well.
  24. Hearing that in Cantonese...it just doesn't feel right. lol
