Yup. Much like how the VF-1J 1/48 was released both with and without FAST packs, and people still complained. I believe that this, too, might fit under the "Yamato just can't win" category. While I would prefer smaller hands as well, Yamato might be worried about the fact that correctly proportioned hands will look atrophied compared to the thick arms of the GBP-1S. They're probably still wincing from the "small hand" critiques of the 1/48.

Here is my criticism: you're likely going to be inordinantly selfish, and refuse to give all your exquisite models to me. Truly astounding, Master Cheng.

I'm somewhat fortunate insofar that my family and friends accept the fact that I'm a philosophy grad student who wants toys. That having been said, it's all Greek to them.
-
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: it frickin' rules to be a Macross fan right now. The VE, the VT, the Hikaru Strike and now the GBP-1S have all been reincarnated (who needs reissues?), and new stuff is on the way... Life is sweet.

I believe (although I have no recollection of where I learned this) that there is a rack recessed in the body of the vehicle that rises when it fires.
-
Great idea, Skull-1. Kudos. How do the 1/72 weapons on a 1/55 valk look?
-
I would be tempted to panel-line my valks, but I am both conservative and without hand-eye coordination. Hence, I am very, very afraid of ruining one. Nice job, by the by.

I do believe Grahamn mentioned something along the lines of a TV-style cockpit. I presume the HUD (or a suitable equivalent) would be included.

Hi, all. Sorry if this has been done to death, but a search turned up nothing. Are they going to adapt the other volumes of the manga, or even make a side story? I remember reading a rumour that there was going to be more Berserk anime, but I can't recall any details. Any news? Thanks. (I really want to see Serpico animated!)

The Mac+/Macross 7 valkyries' transformations would not lend themselves well to Banprestos, so far as I'm concerned. Some non-transformable battroids might be nice, though. What I'd really like to see from Banpresto are some Zentradi mecha.
-
The air intake ports are clearly visible, so there's no animation goof there. Since we can't make out whether or not it's a twin cockpit, we can either assume it's a VT absent the FAST packs (no reason why you couldn't use it as a trainer in the atmosphere) or a VF with an Ostrich-style paint job.
-
Why is everyone taking this opportunity to denigrate Banprestos, when they seem superior to what's being shown here? -They have an excellent sculpt -The proportions are quite good -They come loaded for bear with lots of nifty accesories -They don't need parts swapping
-
Oh yes indeed, Banprestos rule. All hail the little machines that could.
-
All hail the reigning Banprestos! But the Regult and non-transforming VF-1J do look great, I agree.

The TakaToys stickers are not cut improperly, insofar as they are not cut at all.

I think they had him die that way in SDF: Macross so as to allow him to die with Claudia, making it more touching and tragic. After all, one of the primary things that they gutted in DYRL was the relationships.
-
Variation is nice, but the Super 1J is ever so choice. I highly recommend aquiring one if you have the means.
-
That, my dear fellow, will be found under the monkeys that will fly out of my butt--which just about quantifies the likelihood of our seeing the GBP-1S anytime soon.
-
Just out of curiosity, did the mecha designer for Macross II do any other prominent work?
-
I would venture that the Zentraedi proved relatively "easy" to best in virtue of their lack of culture. They had a lack of motivation; they never had anything to fight for. Few exhibited any real pride, and those that did were typically aces. Even then, though, mere pride can't compare to the motivation provided by genuine belief in ideals and/or having loved ones to fight for. My two cents.

On a somewhat-related note, how on earth are we supposed to burn the .BIN file on iMacross onto a CD such that we can play it on a m odded PlayStation? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would just like to add my voice to the chorus of people correctly pointing out that Tamim is the man. I've said it before, and I'll say it again; Yay Tamim!

Meh. That quote could be re-interpreted as saying, "I have no objection, in the abstract, to Americans buying and playing my game." It's not even as strong a comment as "We've considered looking into the possibility of the eventual chance of releasing the game in other markets, such as the U.S." I, for one, am planning on im porting my first game ever if it turns out to be any good...

While I, too, am impressed by the erudition that has characterized the discussion thus far, I would venture to make two points... A-- There can be no answer to the question, only stronger or weaker inductive guesses; B-- Whatever Guld did or didn't do, it is clear that he assaulted Myung in a sexual fashion. While not belittling the great differences that exist within that general class of actions (to wit, sexual assault, broadly construed), what kind of "sexual assault" Guld committed strikes me as academic in this case.
-
Perhaps. But nonetheless, Isamu begins as a jackass, and ends as a jackass. He's almost entirely self-centered, with only a patina of affection for Myung and Guld. Were it not for his incredible piloting skills, he wouldn't likely be anyone I'd ever want to watch. It's a toss-up for me whether Isamu of Basara is more self-involved. "You will listen to my song!" vs. "You will let me fly to my heart's content!" ... Gee, this was almost entirely OT, huh?
