    The "black" VF-31 has a winged, horned, grim reaper head on the backplate.

    Switching from delta to FSW wings and completely reworking the nose/chest transformation to be like a -25's, and adding in YF-29 cannons, is more than a "tweak". It's practically a new valk. I was thinking like----slide up the tailfins in battroid so they line up with/fill in the gaps in the wings, and a new type or two of swappable mission pod. Not a total re-design. I liked the 30 because it had delta wings and an interesting torso configuration----I'm very surprised those distinctive elements were removed in favor of "the stuff we already saw many times in Frontier".

    I really hope we see a VF-30. The -31 is both too different from the 30 and too much like the 25/29. I really just wanted a slightly tweaked YF-30. Just a few little things could have made it amazing.

    Ack, I just realized that's not a shield on the left arm---it's the whole wing and tail assembly hanging off the back, same as the -29.

    But dang if the -31 doesn't look like the -25 in battroid.

    Problem is, any non-fan would probably pronounce it "bwing".

    That's my #1 complaint about valk designs the past decade---the wings no longer transform/store anywhere---there's just a huge single-hinge backpack that is the entire upper fuselage with the wings attached. It was bad enough on the -25, but it's just horrendous on the -29. -27 has same problem with its "tail"---but at least the wings are double-hinged to fold in a bit, along with the engines.

    That would be neat. I too am kinda getting sick of forward-swept valks. I love the -19, but seems like there's been too much exposure lately. Keep it "rare". But delta-winged valks---need more!

    Their original paint scheme was better. Their current one is just "QANTAS, but in purple".

    The new X-Wing quickly grew on me. It's not that different and directly comes from the original artwork. Whereas the JJprise is still ugly and completely goes against all established looks for Starfleet. (While the Kelvin is a great "old" design)

    So----2D or 3D? I almost always go for 2D (glasses over glasses suck) and the image is brighter etc. But if I want to see it on the biggest screen, that's only 3D here.

    Is the huge spoiler about something visible in the snow-planet/X-wing scene if you look close? I hadn't noticed until someone pointed it out, and it seems almost certain now. (It's a "thing" spoiler vs a "person" spoiler). I figure a truly huge spoiler almost has to be a person though)

    Several rumors as to why, the most-said one would be a HUGE spoiler, but I personally don't believe it. (And if it's true, keep it to yourself! Ignorance IS bliss in this instance)

    I agree with the Duke----the main theatrical poster is going to be very hard to avoid.

    No one's posted the new poster? Now, my thoughts are---I try to avoid spoilers. Watch nothing but the official trailers. But now----well, the poster has some pretty big spoilers to a lot of people, including me. But I mean----it's the official poster. It'll be hard to even see the movie without seeing it beforehand, unless you wear a blindfold going to the theater. So my opinion is: it should be embedded in the thread.     Fighter mode doesn't really seem to "come together" at all. It's more like 5 chunks flying in very close formation, than a single coherent vehicle. There's HUGE gaps and struts hanging out all over.

    Same paint scheme? Pass. Waiting for anything better. (doesn't have to be FB2012, just not uber-bland and boring)
