What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
David Hingtgen replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Oh wow. Have fun. You're not even into any of the good parts yet. It will of course have a few dips, like any series. But it gets SO good by the end. PS--your opinions on Sheryl vs Ranka will change. Often. But that's good thing, it shows they're not cookie-cutter bland characters. PPS---do not skip the after-credits scene of Episode 22. -

Is Kabaneri available on anything like Crunchyroll, or must it be watched through "other" means? (I do love trains, so trains+Mikimoto sounds good to me) -
Won't the face be like 1cm tall in real life? I don't expect much from a 600Y(?) gashapon, and will buy it just for "a cheap little Mirage to put somewhere".

If the story had as little variation as the music does, it'd be an even more boring show than it is. -
Aircraft Super Thread Mk.VII

That's totally valid. And CG-wise, preferred to carrying Phoenixes aft. If the aft pallets are loaded, they will be the first to empty their weapons. It's actually about my fave combo, I do it on models when possible. About the rarest combo is 4 Sidewinders, 2 Phoenix, 1 Sparrow. (You could actually do 3/2/2 I think, balance wouldn't be too off but have never see it so likely not a legal load----3/3/1 likely physically fits but would have lateral balance issues for sure I think) -

Pretty much. Even ignroing mecha/battles-----Frontier had much more interesting characters and music. Delta is bland and very "same-y". -

Holy Lonely Light is the best M7 song, period. -

There's enough songs for a second album? HonestLy, for how "idol heavy" this series is, I don't recall that many different songs being used. Frontier had much greater variety, and notably--far more unique/memorable songs. -
I might need that one too. But it's clear Mirage gets no love---they gave every other figure a close-up pic.

Hayate was able to hover in mid-air wearing sneakers and a t-shirt, from the winds of Ragna. I imagine the legendary winds of Windermere could certainly turn a wing suit from glider to actually flying, at least some of the time. -
Is the Mirage pilot figure different? Also, is the "backplate" for the fighter mode different? (as in, the area surrounding the head---the heads are clearly different, but going back to the V1 VF-25, it's easy to ignore the "surrounding area" difference---but fighter mode always suffers for it if it's not tweaked to perfectly conform to each unique head)

The best ones are ready to fly and have drip pans under them, though it's rare. -

At this point, I won't be surprised if the remainder of the series is infiltrating the castle/rescuing various people, talking to Roid about Mikumo, then Mikumo sings and saves the galaxy. As in, no more mecha, "we've seen the last of the VF-31". -
If they really wanted to increase sales, they'd actually show off the mecha fighting and transforming in the show itself...

Protip: This series seems especially "insidious" for having some attachment-pegs look VERY much like a sprue gate. It's very easy to snip a piece off the sprue, only to realize you snipped off the attachment peg as well, thinking it was part of the gate. I only did it once on the F-15, but I did it two or three times on the Flanker.

While I don't expect full English subs to happen, simply having English menus etc available would make it about a million times more accessible. Scrolling through pages and pages of pure katakana/kanji upgrades/weapons/options is basically a nightmare in games like these.

Technically, I think the change in effective sweep angle would alter the downforce of left vs right tailplanes, and thus affect roll. -
If it's anything like their other kits, oddly, paint actually helps the cement adhesion in this case. They seem to be molded in a plastic that almost repels most normal glues and paints. Whatever paint they use, is one of the few substances that adheres well. So in a way, you kinda want to glue the painted surfaces.
