Anyone like Classic Space? I think this Ideas set is great and has a decent shot of happening, but it needs more support/exposure: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/118501 Mini versions of some of the best sets. I had most of those back in the day. It'd be a great way to get some more astronaut figs (Blacktron!) and some very useful parts. And it also wouldn't be some $$$$ set like many are.

https://mobile.twitter.com/lionforge/status/784590972604809217/photo/1 Combined mode has huge forearms, short legs and tiny feet. I've asked for better lion modes for years, but they seem to have completely ignored combined mode for it. I think much of the issues may come down to raw scale----it's like they got red/green vs blue/yellow backwards-----the arm-lions are supposed to be the smaller ones! Swap their sizes and I think it'd look a lot better.

Macross Δ (Delta) - Mission 26 -Finale - READ 1st POST
David Hingtgen replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
Well, that was the most boring Macross finale ever. Never before have I sat and watched "the final battle" valk manuevers, capital ships fighting, missile spam, and thought "meh". And like 90% of the battle scenes seemed to be re-renders of Frontier's battles. "We'll just swap the -25's for -31's and run it through again, nobody will notice!" And even worse, the scant few seconds of super-pack scenes we get, are mostly literally re-use from the other time we saw them. And even the non-battle scenes were just re-hashes. Giant glowing Ranka singling DYRL in front of Galaxy? Well now it's giant glowing Mikumo singing DYRL in front of whatever-they-call-it. -

The ones on the Su-37 were. They look like water-slides, but actually are a bit different. Do not attempt to trim excess decal film away, leave it be. Give it a wide berth, like you would a dry transfer. Apply like a normal water-slide, but do not use any setting solution. Let dry. Then, peel away the excess clear film much like you would a dry transfer.

Macross Δ (Delta) - Mission 25 - READ 1st POST
David Hingtgen replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
Ep 26 subs still aren't out, so I haven't watched it, so I'll post my Ep 25 thoughts: Basically---this series has done worse than "make me dislike it". It's made me simply not care. Disliking a show at least means you think about it, and have "concern" for it. I used to anxiously count the hours, waiting for new eps/subs. Played them the moment I could. Then it became "I'll watch it sometime today". Then "today or tomorrow". Then "sometime this week". Until now, at Ep 25---I only just got around to watching it because I knew otherwise I'd likely be spoiled by Ep 26/finale talk around the forum. Frontier was the exact opposite---I got more and more involved as time went on, despite kinda "ignoring it" early on. The anticipation/hype for the final few eps was insane. Good times at the forum. Just could not wait for the end. Whereas with Delta---I'm just waiting for it TO end. Big difference. Because the sooner it ends, the sooner they can work on something else/better. But I really don't care *how* it ends, and that's a shame, that a Macross series has un-impressed me so much that I feel that way. Sigh---despite me having initial misgivings about the character, it's ironic that there's been so little development with the others, that the most interesting person has been dead for half the series... -

Well yes. It won't be available "other ways" until after the "main" showing. -

It's already up on DisneyXD's site, just watched it. Quick spoiler-free opinion: It's mainly just setting up a whole lot of other things I think. A few good moments, but don't expect anything as awesome as the Season 2 finale. -
Annoyingly, no. Testor's often does the same, with many "spray-only" colors, which makes it difficult to paint small parts/do touch-ups, as you can't buy the same color in a jar.
-
See, I want that as a 1/60.... Also----non-canon, but adding in the extra striping that Arad has on his -31S that no other -31 has, would be just the right amount of added color to really make a -31A look awesome.

Hmmn, I thought I read about a 30-month shortening, that'd bring it down to 2017 or so. -

Anyone here sleeve their own cables? If you want red or blue it's easy to find and buy, but purple is rare, especially "the right shade" of purple. So I'm considering learning to do it myself. PS----so it seems MS has shortened the planned support period for Win 7. So I may be dragged kicking and screaming into 10 soon. -

Thankfully, its successor the B-24, has a much cooler name. -
No, never got any UCS sets. Was tempted by B-Wing but thought it didn't look quite right and it was way too expensive for what it was. Waiting for UCS TFA X-Wing hopefully some day.

That's a heck of a first Technic set! Anyone have any comments on selling on Bricklink vs Ebay? I'm looking to unload most all my Star Wars sets and about half my other sets. None have boxes, all have instructions, if that affects the comparison.

Yes, Cyberjaw would look a lot better/G1er/purpler if that big spine-armature was purple instead of grey. I've spent way too much time trying to figure out a possible repainting operation for him, but like with all transforming toys---there's very little you can do that will last more than a transformation or two. And that armature is certainly effectively unpaintable for that reason. There's a few spots I've identified that should work, but it's not worth it---I couldn't figure out a way to get a "mostly purple shark torso" like the G1 had, that'd actually last. I may paint his gun purple, as that will add a lot of purple in gun mode. (plastic-matching be damned, Tamiya makes a spray paint that is like dead-on G1 Overbite purple) TFC sure does seem to like grey lately---they've put it on like every Seacon, when only 2 of the originals had any. And I still fear that Seawing and Nautilator have lost their black and gotten just grey.- 9325 replies

That particular symbol doesn't work for a bat-signal. The "points"/details are too small and fine. They'd get obliterated over distance/cloud/fog. It'd just be a "splotch signal" really.

I was thinking cheap-cheap, like 20 bucks. I think I may actually have a spare 360 controller, in pieces. Will see if I can find it and if it has all the parts. ::googles:: Hmmn, they make a "wireless receiver" for the 360 controller, for PC---with many knock-offs. Will see if I can find one locally this weekend, if not---still likely my best/cheapest choice.- 6945 replies

I...think...that took care of itself? Anyways---suggestions wanted----decent cheap gamepad for my PC. Mainly to play Mass Effect 3 at the moment. I am FAR more of an rpg/adventure player, so an "awesome for FPS" pad means nothing to me. I definitely prefer a PS dual-shock style shape to an Xbox shape. If it makes any sort of difference---I do have convenient USB 3.0 ports up front, almost always one slot to spare.- 6945 replies
