VF-2JA - Could it fly or is it just a brick?

F-101? I see so much more F3H in the Phantom. -
I do the following for all valks, from the -1 on, because they generally all can, and it "looks right" to me: All the way in for fighter mode. All the way out for Gerwalk. Half-way for battroid.

What's the shipping cost for that to the US? Wondering about "JP MSRP+shipping" vs US price w/free shipping.

I meant to post this a while ago, but then Xmas, forum being down, photobucket becoming utterly unusable due to their ad-scripts, etc. So anyways: Tucked out of the way at the Kennedy Space Center, unadvertised (AFAIK) and only there if you seek it out---is IMHO the most important display of all of them. Guaranteed to be utterly silent in this little room, even with thousands of screaming kids and tourists just around the corner. It's basically "go under the staircase and zig-zag around as far as you can go". (I wonder if it's intentionally "hidden"). -

Ironically I'm buying more official and less 3P lately. Many of the Titans Return deluxes are very nice (though QC is atrocious----I've returned more broken/malformed figures this past year than in my entire life before) but I'm generally not liking the direction most 3P is going----they're either going "present MP style" hyper-toon-accurate/blocky, or highly-stylized too-far-from source material. Before, it tended to be more of a hybrid, like early MP's, which I really liked.- 9502 replies

From what I can see, the "January" release for Mirage means the very very end of Jan. Thus, will mean my HLJ warehouse shipping deadline will expire JUST before it arrives. I swear Bandai times everything to release like 61-65 days apart, just to ruin HLJ private warehouse shipments...

Interesting comparison, that the heavily upgraded F/A-18A+ (and now the C+) take advantage of electronics being miniaturized over the years---they tend to be lighter than older/"gradually upgraded" versions, since the same capabilities can now be fit en masse into fewer and smaller "black boxes" etc. Yet the F-16 only ever seems to "plaster on more bits" wherever there's room. Bonus: Found a nice new early Tomcat pic: http://collections.naval.aviation.museum/emuwebdoncoms/objects/common/webmedia.php?irn=71201 -
Number of parts maybe, but raw amount of plastic----I think the Tornado pack has more. It certainly has more "visual impact" for the money.

That's my hope----that the movies will make really neat/worthwhile armor set. Sigh---a valk designed with a replaceable weapons module---and they don't even fight in battroid mode in this series, much less try different weapons.

I was very wrong for years. But I was also very young then. I know better now. Murcielago though----even those who KNOW still seem to get it wrong. Also----the "Hurricane". -

Yup. They're all like that.

Plus---Bandai does tend to tweak each release. Look at the YF-29. The second one may be too early to get any improvements, but the third release should.

???? Everything I've read said it's not mis-transformed. There's a lot of hope that it is, but analysis of the parts/hinges, and mostly importantly, Peaugh, who's handled it, says that's the way it is.- 9502 replies

Which is ironic, as altering the headlights and tailights is usually sufficient to AVOID the need to license a vehicle mode. RiD/2000 almost got away with Sideburn in the US. And of course, I've yet to see any F-15 TF be licensed, yet the F-22's are...- 18230 replies

I'm ok with Messer being next--the more -31's as a whole they sell, the lower the demand for each successive one---thus easier for me to get Mirage's.

Titans Return Triggerhappy: He rocks. But the factory put his wing insignias on sideways. (they're aligned with the wing's trailing edge---which is against common sense/aesthetics, and against the box art and factory artwork diagrams) It's a fairly common issue, even some MP figures have "insignias aligned with the wrong edge". But with Triggerhappy's wings having a 45-degree sweep, they're REALLY off.- 9502 replies
