    No, Bandai's doing a half-assed implementation of what they were given. Look at the actual show, and Takara's implementation. The same design can be done much better. Sure, it's never going to look great, but it can certainly be "decent". It's just much easier to do it how Bandai has done in both the kit and DX.

    I think that's about the only F3H anywhere. Shiden---yes, noticed it before the Zero. Today---less new stuff, but still good stuff.     Planes seen for the first time today (guess where I am!): A-3 Skywarrior RA-5C Vigilante F2H Banshee F3H Demon F4D Skyray F7U Cutlass F7F Tigercat F11F Tiger F-35 Jayesseff PS---the F3H and F4D are bigger than they look. Same goes for the F2H, really. And ok, I'll admit, the -35 looks better and more F-22ish in real life.

    No, the nose is fixed on mine. But I think the parts fit isn't that great on the ones that can and it'd bug me.

    You needn't have waited years---I've had my 1/200 diecast AF Concorde for years. First release with actual map used in flight. I'd have sold you mine. Like this one:

    VF-23? Making it variable would have delayed service entry even longer than the F-35 took.

    I'm surprised/disappointed there's not more new/remolded parts. Was kinda hoping it could lead to a new Nobel variant or something.

    If the US had picked the F-23, the T-50 would only be the second-sexiest plane flying now.

    That's exactly how I remember it. The early pic was PURE G1. Tall thin vertical intakes above the shoulders, F-15 wings, etc.

    Oh no, floor polish etc won't help at all. It's not a friction thing, the hand just doesn't even "fit" the grip. There's a solid 2-3mm gap all around most edges. It looks like a cat or dog trying to hold it in their paw----the shapes just don't work together.

    Protos look better, since they're usually painted resin. Don't expect the actual releases to have those exact colors. Nor quite as many markings. If you really look, no -27 or -29 matched the sample. I'd love Mirage's and Chuck's to be those exact shades, but I'm expecting brighter, more "cartoony" colors in the end. And quite possibly glossy plastic.

    So I'm 98% done with my MG Zeta Plus. And I've gotta ask---is there any Gundam that can't hold its gun, worse than this kit can't? It's mind-blowing how many issues there are with trying to get it to do any sort of grip, much less not hold it 45 degrees off to the side while doing so. Might as well just glue it to the back, because it simply looks ridiculous "holding" the beam rifle.

    And it's a terrible idea, both aerodynamically and toy/model-wise.

    Gah, yesterday my HLJ warehouse hit 60 and they shipped it. So of course, today, after weeks of waiting, the last little 300Y item comes in stock. I really don't want to ship it by itself, but there's nothing coming out in the next 60 days AFAIK. (If Bandai would hurry up with a VF-31A, then I'd be fine...)

    They're not even capitalizing on the fact that they can TRANSFORM. Might as well just have F-22's flying around...

    Maybe Figurarts will finally release the Rain figure they showed all those years ago. I mean yeah, it took a long time before Master Asia came out, but c'mon, it's been an even longer gap since then, and not even a hint at Rain coming.

    Still no subs? Doesn't sound like I'm missing much. 20 eps in, I was *much* more invested into Frontier's story and characters. (and valks, and battles, and songs...)

    That's my most-desired combo of all. -31A wings, but more color than the grey -31. (Needn't be nearly as stripey/gaudy as Delta squadron, but just "normal" valk schemes, like Roy/Alto/Isamu etc)

    That just even further proves my point. If Wing as a whole is not that popular to start with---then why make a little-known (did it even exist at all before the kit?) variant of Heavy Arms first, as a mainline release, then wait literally years to make the minor changes needed to make the most-wanted/popular version and make it a limited release? It'd be like making a never-before-seen variant of the VF-19P first, then 4 years later doing Basara's.

    I hate it, but I'm not surprised: The most popular version of Heavy Arms, as seen in EW, is the limited P-Bandai release. While YEARS ago we got the "never seen anywhere" orange version of that mold. Yeesh. Either give us red+orange TV version, or navy/teal EW. Not some hypothetical hybrid. Same rant for Sandrock. Give me TV or EW. Not "inbetween" ones we never saw.

    TFW's gotten worse, MW is the same or slightly better. IMHO. I don't peek into TFW's Macross thread very often.
