  1. Yeah--considering "dull grey" was the final finish---why not just mold it in that color, and gain that critical 0.02in of clearance all around? Would likely alleviate a good number of issues.
  2. Interesting that the packaging has built-in space around the barrel tip, as if they expect someone to put something there...
  3. That works well for Macross, but it's a 'shop of this one: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/YqNn6
  4. Thought: the VF-0D looked spot-on in the promo pics, but was totally wrong in final production. Maybe the VF-31C will be the opposite... Sigh, I still want a valk that looks like this:
  5. It's simply one hour too late for me. I could swing 1AM local and go straight to bed at 1:01 when it's sold out. But 2AM is a no-go. I'll just F5 HLJ for the next 3 months...
  6. They're two different things. However they have nigh-identical sculpts, so they look the same in pics. The diecast one isn't out yet, and is smaller.
  7. Just like the VF-31 never fights in battroid either. Perfectly matched, those two are...
  8. Mirage's unique coloring was one of the few good aspects. (Plus, my flightsuit Mirage figure just arrived---and her valk should match it).
  9. In the (presumably) professionally lot and taken photos, it still looks awfully reddish. I note that the molded plastic parts are darker and more purple than the paint---not as good a match as Bandai did for Hayate's. The plastic parts look about the right color. But there's SO much paint on the Delta valks, there's more paint than raw plastic. And since the paint is a bit off....
  10. But it simply shouldn't be "so close to red that it only looks sorta ok in some lighting". This is not anywhere near pure red: Surely the Japanese fans are commenting on the color???
  11. All the more reason to wait for a white Roid version.
  12. The model kit's color may not be perfect, but it's a WHOLE lot closer than the DX looks so far. Heck, even the TakaraTomy 1/144 is better.
  13. That version was wrong, the new pics are even more wrong. They're making it redder, when they should be making it more purple. Or again---yeesh, just match their own model kit!
  14. If the F-35 had been cancelled, we could have afforded more F-22's or a butt-load of Super Hornets... Or, just replace all the Block 30 F-16's with Block 60's... Or even better---replace the F-15E with F-16XL's...
  15. The renewal green VF-27 is a completely different green than the original, and completely wrong. It's the main reason I never bought the newer one---mine is much closer to show-colors.
  16. Sure hope that's not the final colors. Not TOO worried yet, but will keep an eye on it. I mean, really, how could it NOT match the kit colors?
  17. In stock to order at HLJ this minute...
  18. The Bandai Advance VF-19 still seems to keep going up---is it having any effect on the Arcadia YF-19's price? Thinking of selling my Arcadia, but if all anyone wants is the Advance version, maybe I'll hold on for a while.
  19. I have the exact opposite opinion. ('cuz I want this in live-action on the big screen): Note: I saw this "live" when it aired, and thought it was the greatest thing ever. I'm happy it became a meme all these years later.
  20. YF-19 is like that too IIRC.
  21. Probably both, but mostly the former. "Didn't give it enough time to sit/cool/cure" is the cause of a LOT of issues for figures---warped parts, stuck joints, peeling paint. Sometime another 10 secs to let something fully harden would do amazing things for quality.
  22. Top one.
  23. Yeah, it seemed to last about 36 hours before it went down. Let's try another source:
