  1. The renewal green VF-27 is a completely different green than the original, and completely wrong. It's the main reason I never bought the newer one---mine is much closer to show-colors.
  2. Sure hope that's not the final colors. Not TOO worried yet, but will keep an eye on it. I mean, really, how could it NOT match the kit colors?
  3. In stock to order at HLJ this minute...
  4. I have the exact opposite opinion. ('cuz I want this in live-action on the big screen): Note: I saw this "live" when it aired, and thought it was the greatest thing ever. I'm happy it became a meme all these years later.
  5. YF-19 is like that too IIRC.
  6. Probably both, but mostly the former. "Didn't give it enough time to sit/cool/cure" is the cause of a LOT of issues for figures---warped parts, stuck joints, peeling paint. Sometime another 10 secs to let something fully harden would do amazing things for quality.
  7. Top one.
  8. Yeah, it seemed to last about 36 hours before it went down. Let's try another source:
  9. You should be able to put 12 on a Super Hornet, but I couldn't find any pics showing it's been done.
  10. Second that---I may like the C even more than the D, and would love an Arcadia one. (that, or Shin's D in the proper shade of blue)
  11. Parts list available? There's not a zillion but it would be nice to be able to see what I'd need. PS---my vote for the chest guns is also 3938.
  12. Well, more like the super-wide body makes the legs very far apart. He's like as wide as he is long (ignoring neck and tail---just the body). Looks odd to me. I mean, all Sludges look like that to some degree, but this is too much.
  13. Have seen many say it's the 3P figure of the year/ever. If I wasn't so picky about Dinobot dino-modes, I'd have picked it up already. (Too wide).
  14. Did the neck-replacement mod on TFC not-Snaptrap. Not as bad as I feared getting it in, but removing the old one was a pain. A minor difference, but every millimeter helps. Wish the new neck-hinge wasn't light pink though, makes the "floating head" effect stand out more---the original was solid green. Deep pink or dark grey would have been best--darker and blend in.
  15. I think Graham is a fan of the EE Lightning, so here's a neat pic of one:
  16. I've always thought a Tornado with a zillion Brimstones looked really neat.
  17. Would buy almost any of those 31A's. And why oh why did we never see any of those missile pod options? I like the one with the larger hatches, less of a -30 clone. As for the technical aspects---hmmn. "VFC". Compared to the known Active Flow Control of the -19-----I'm thinking either vernier flow control or vortex flow control. The diagrams seem equally appropriate for both. I almost want to say "vernier, used to control the vortex". With the explanation of the 31A having larger canards than the FSW versions to balance out the center of lift (thus making them lifting canards and not so much vortex-generators) I get the impression Kawamori is kind of on a canard "kick" at the moment, and their aerodynamic effects.
  18. So far---kinda floppy. Nothing pegs, it's all friction. And not much friction at that. It's one of those "backwards" joint setups---the minor joints are super-tight (like the finger tips and "cockpit"), the bigger joints (wings/canards/engine pods) are loose. Way too many parts seem held in place by gravity and little else. Biggest annoyances: The lights are either inserted/on, or sitting in the box. You cannot install them and turn them off. They are spring-loaded on-off switches, with "on" being achieved by inserting them into their designated location. They cannot be "attached to Trypticon, but not lit". Also, the hands can NOT fold up like the instructions/renders show. Something was changed. For the worse. This makes the "engine pods" in Nemesis mode "half split-open". I now have a less-than-pristine-condition right hand due to spending hours trying to make it do what the instructions show it doing...
  19. They're a copy of the Fujimi F-14D prototype kit---which doesn't actually match the F-14D prototype or anything else.
  20. I have seen some people totally repaint Rewind green for this, but this plastic doesn't take paint well. Plus---scraping. Also---vending machines are mostly black. Only the "ad space on the front" is colored. So I just added a bit of green on shoulders and treads to remove some red and make it more Dew-colored. Head needed a lot though, to not look like Rewind. Carved off his little head-camera, too
  21. I don't think so---I believe those Top Gun ones were the only use of that mold, and is an F-14A mold. Those Macross ones are, um, erm----F-14D prototypes? They don't match any standard type, from what I can see. But definitely not A's at all.
