Mine's made it to NY--so it's at least in the right country now.
-
I saw those--while I generally prefer decals, for this I really think I'd prefer a sticker---also, the color seems awfully "green"---don't know what they really look like. The VE-1 sticker sheet seems to match the grey that the Milia already has, perfectly. (since it's likely Yamacadia only has 1 "VF-1 low-vis light grey" color they use for markings)
-
Well, I really want "the perfect size for the FAST pack boosters" (and preferably the nose as well) so it'd pretty much have to be from a V.2 VF-1. :;edit: The VF-4 sheet also has the exact style I want (light grey, with white kite) but I have no idea how the size compares.
-
I would still like low-vis grey kites to match the many other grey markings----did any sheet other than the VE-1 come with then?

HLJ tends to give shrink wrap OR air-bags, not both in my experience.

I'm a little worried too now, about that....

SAL? How much? I don't think that was even an option given for mine.

That fact did stand out/bug me...

Thanks much for posting them here----those pics are encouraging---the white looks quite white, and not pink. (At least on my phone). Does anyone make low-vis markings in 1/60 nowadays? All I really need are UN Spacy symbols in grey/white. :edit: Hmmm, looks like the VE-1 sheet has exactly what I need...

It's kind of the opposite---this is a non-canon Autobot variant/pun of the official character Tarn, who has a 'con logo for a face. (As described in other posts).- 9144 replies

So nobody in Japan has actually opened it and blogged pics yet?

Experten 1/72 VF-3000 Crusader transformation kit
David Hingtgen replied to wmkjr's topic in Model kits
I love the 3000, it's the bigger/better, more badass, "perfected" version of the VF-1. -
Got my HiRM Wing Zero---so far just checking the inner-frame----no wrong parts, no frozen joints (so far!). But----the thumbs are the loosest I've ever had on any toy/figure ever. They pop out if you look at them funny. Trying nail polish, hope that's enough. Noticed stress marks at base of the "socket" on both---something somewhere is spreading the "upper hand" apart, causing the super-loose thumbs.

They are very typical jet exhausts---you don't need much more than a slightly-tapering cone, with some grooves. Identical to all F-16A's and B's, and similar to many other jets. The later F-15A-E exhaust, as the MP mold has for some reason, is unique to that and looks like no other jet exhaust I know of. (Because it's actually the original exhaust with all the outer plates stripped off, revealing the internal supports and mechanism itself, which is a nightmare to model accurately---and looks funky when simplified for toys etc) Every jet with a variable nozzle---from the SR-71 to the F-104 to the MiG-25 has roughly the same design/look. Except modern F-15's....- 9144 replies

It's almost certainly made with repainted Hayate parts, that was transformed, rubbing off the grey and revealing the original blue.

For being so "toon-accurate", it's odd that Howling Meteor has such MP-ish engine nozzles, nothing like the original toon or toy. (I'd bet a lot of money they just looked at MP-03 and said "I guess that's what early 1980's F-15 nozzles look like") It'd have been so much easier and better-looking, to do a simpler typical nozzle, like the G1 toy/toon/real early 80's F-15's had.- 9144 replies

That's the #1 thing tempting me to buy it. It's almost halfway between the grey 0D and Shin's 0D.

You have to buy a separate weapons set? Even Hasegawa doesn't usually do that, when they're "weapons unique to that aircraft".
-
I actually worried about that a while ago. If it's missing anything, it'll be sold immediately and I'm done with Arcadia forever.
-
Simple----never use black on white. Too stark. Only use black on grey/blue parts.

Aircraft Super Thread Mk.VII

Seconded---by far the most impressive moves I've seen done by a Legacy Hornet. (I've actually seen far more Super than Legacy demos in person) -
Anyone have any thoughts on if now would be the best, or worst, possible time to sell my SNES and games? Note: my collection is almost purely MIB, so I figure "those who solely want to PLAY the game" will be satisfied with the SNES mini, and/or old rental copies etc (or even emulators). But if you're a MIB cartridge collector---the SNES mini won't "fill in any holes".

The Transformers Thread (licensed) Next
David Hingtgen replied to mikeszekely's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Are you SURE you want the originals? Because the MP-11 and later releases, tend to cost twice as much as the previous ones and have the worst quality. Often times the knockoffs are actually better... (I own a real MP-07, but will sell it soon, as my knock-off is better in pretty much every way) However---if you're buying one from Japan, the odds of it being a KO is low. Now, if you're buying it from HongKong/China on ebay...- 16711 replies
