Hope they fix the engine paint before actual release---bright BLUE exhaust on the Executor? -

I'm curious what the combat radius is, for F-35 vs A-6, both carrying 18K loads. And considering the Marines used both, I wonder what max payload for a still-VSTOL-capable F-35B is. -
Yeah, you'd think that with the F-22 being the star of the series, the country that actually has them, might be a decent market for the game...

Infinity did have a tier system, but it was far too simple---medium and god-like were in the same tier.

Aircraft Super Thread Mk.VII
David Hingtgen replied to David Hingtgen's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Eh, not quite IMHO. The F-35 is supposed to be a cut-down F-22 ('90% as good for half the cost'----only the final result was backwards), and/or a "jack of all trades" replacement for everything from the F-117 to the A-10. The P-38, was designed to be the fastest, ultimate interceptor of its day. No compromises, no other mission. The P-38 is more comparable to the F-22 in that regard. Really dedicated to a single specific role, to do it extremely well. Vs "well, what's the best we can do across A, B, and C, for X dollars?" -

Don't know why 3P companies use "Hasbro awful milky-grey-plastic", when "deeper metallic silver" plastic is very much a thing. Airfix and Revell model kits have had nice metallic silver for decades, and Lego pumps out "metallic pearl silver" parts every day. No, they're not as good as actual silver paint, but they are 10x "deeper" and more metallic-looking than the awful stuff Hasbro (and UT apparently) use. There is NO reason to ever use that awful stuff unless you're either trying to save money, or you don't know "the magic formula" to actually make sturdy, injection-molded silver plastic.- 9380 replies

Ukraine has always had "bold blue" camo on their Flankers, this is the 3rd major version I know of. Original: Splinter: Digital:

Pretty much. 2-digit "abbreviated" modex numbers on the flaps and rudders are fairly common and lasted at least until the end of the Tomcat era, so several decades.
-
They really, really should have called it "Lightning Strike" instead, precedence/naming conventions be damned.

Yet the final answer was what we all thought from the very first pics of Mirage's---"way too red, compared to the actual on-screen animation and official artwork". So I won't be at all surprised if the final color for Arad's armor is "way too much like the fruit, and not the more rusty-color"

I'll take all those in HMR or DX. And a MAXL.

Yup. For a game that had many awesome schemes (VF-11 especially), they sure did an awful job on the VF-4.

LEGO has the best customer service, period. Email or call, you'll definitely get your missing piece. I've seen them airmail a single 5-cent part from Denmark, to make things right.

Nobody's posted this yet? I think it's the best-painted thing EVER, I'd buy a car with this finish:

Those leg missiles are a YF vs VF difference, for the -19. Even Basara used them once, IIRC.

I remember back when there were SO many compression types used, had to have a half-dozen at times, before everyone else gave up and settled on .zip finally (as it should have been from day 1). Though I still keep a copy of 7-zip around, as it'll handle the occasional odd-ball that shows up. -
I must have missed it---have we seen armor parts for Arad? (as in, officially solicited by Bandai, with pics, to pre-order)

Gah, M3 versions of the scheme. The Master Files versions look SO much better. (M3 had some amazing schemes, and some terrible schemes---which is odd considering they're really all the same scheme). Milia's VF-11B scheme from M3 is so much neater than her M7+ one. The VF-9 scheme is similar and also really neat. The VF-4's---were bland, had ORANGE accents, and were oddly pale/faded...

I'd not gotten that impression from TFW, very interesting to read. I plan on waiting for a Cryotek recolor, hopefully they'll fix a few issues.- 9380 replies

Twinsticks made some moves much easier, but the controller was actually better for some options. Really depended on which Virtuaroid you used. Still annoyed Kotobukiya never re-colored Fei-Yen Kn in RNA colors---it was molded to do so, they did a lot of extra parts-separation and multi-part molding that ONLY was needed for RNA colors---yet they only ever released DNA colors.
