  1. Valkyire_addict seems to have broken his while messing with the hip bars, and wasn't moving the arms at all.
  2. I meant, it'll be the only one that matters to me---I'll have made my overall decision then.
  3. With the SHE and IHP--nope, pushing the canopy down would interfere with both the nose and ventral fin. Overall, the SHE is way better than the IHP, but the IHP has better-shaped lower legs IMHO. Here's the rarely-seen IHP variable VF-4: http://www.wwwmwww.com/VF-4G/
  4. It's under 10 bucks, maybe under 5 (been a while), and pretty easy to find at any Wal-Mart, Target, etc. My bottle's from Target.
  5. The main thing is that no kit so far has had the canopy recess, and that REALLY messes with how the battroid mode looks. I expect that to be one of the parts to swap. (or actually, simply remove it entirely for battroid mode) Also, the SHE has very "square" legs for some reason, the IHP did better there.
  6. I'll check and see what the shoulder hinge is made of--I've built enough models that I can identify just about any plastic type by appearance/feel.
  7. Hmmn, stickers too. I may go for decals where needed for conformity reasons (tailfins), and stickers anywhere there's rubbing potential (shoulders, chest).
  8. I went with "not sure". Sheryl's WAY up the past few eps (and Ranka's way down), but things could change. Grace---one 2 sec scene won't change things enough to make her my fave (though I liked her from the beginning). The poll for the last ep will be the only one that really matters.
  9. New color for DS Lite in USA, metallic silver. (As in, stand-alone, not with Guitar Hero graphics and pack-in)
  10. VF-4's very unique in its transformation, almost as much as the YF-21. It's one of the many ways it's awesome. PS--in addition to his excellent VF-4 build, vf_1s also did a very cool mod to a 1/48: http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?show...c=19980&hl= PPS---I think there's no way to having working landing gear in a transforming VF-4, period. I doubt even Yamato in 1/60 could do that. Main issue is the nose gear. The ventral fin has to retract up into that area, the cockpit recesses down into the area, and then the whole nosecone slides back along a joint in the area... If you want gear in a VF-4, there's got to be SOME parts swapping.
  11. Now that I've seen the ep, we definitely need one of those.
  12. gg's sub file just went up, now to wait for the MKV to show up...
  13. Not the "arm to backplate" part. Very near the shoulder itself. Graham--when transforming from fighter mode, you will swing the arm assemblies out 90 degrees. In doing so, part of the arm/shoulder hinge assembly will have to go past "the stop". Where the swing-arm assembly hits that stop when trying to transform it--right there. It's a piano hinge, with a metal pin in the center. The plastic outer parts of that are snapping off, exposing the metal pin. If enough plastic is lost, there's nothing to surround the pin, and the whole arm will come off. ::edit:: Found a pic---Yamato already circled it! Step 12. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/V...ew/manual-6.jpg Not the "stop" itself, but the hinge that is touching the bump. But AFAIK, it's usually the other side of the hinge---in that pic, the arms are already past the stop, and the "rear" of the hinge is against the stop. The most-likely-to-break part is the other side of that hinge, that will encounter the tab as you swing the arms forward. ::edit 2:: *REALLY GOOD PIC* http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?act=...st&id=56116
  14. Yeah--Graham, do you have a retail V2 yet, or just the "nigh-final" ones you reviewed?
  15. This: http://www.promodeller.com/promodellers-weathering-wash/ (I just have to buy it and try it out first)
  16. Are MGS bundle PS3s the newest revision that runs cooler?
  17. Bandai has used multiple types of plastic for quite a while now in MG and higher kits. (Maybe some HG as well?) A PG kit can have a BUNCH of different types of plastic, and I think even multiple types of plastic on the same sprue (fingers). A complex Bandai kit will use polystyrene (PS), polyethylene (PE), ABS, and PVC. And they convienently mark each type on the sprue.
  18. That's one of the better explanations I've seen, actually...
  19. And my plan as well. Though I might go with more of a wash than Gundam markers (I've got a new product to try). And you probably won't need to glue any of it. I suck at painting, but can decal with the best---so this kit is pretty much designed for exactly my skills.
  20. Animated Blitzwing has tabs on his back I fear will break. They have little "hooks" and they have a deathgrip on the backpack. I've sanded them a tad, but any more and they won't hold any more I think, but still lock way too tight IMHO. PS---GERWALK mode is his best mode. You can actually do the back half of the jet better that way---you can make it look like his box art. (The box art is incorrectly, yet aesthetically-better transformed---but you can't lock it together at all that way--but you sorta can in GERWALK)
  21. Blu-Ray's library will be glaringly incomplete until we get LOTR. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get that until The Hobbit comes out on BR.
  22. Gott mention Mass Effect again. And the casting's already done for half the characters. I dare anyone to find a better Shepard:
  23. All of that is clearly said by and explaining Dr Chiba's passion---but not Basara. Why does such a minor character as Chiba have a full explanation for his "music can change the world" idea, but Basara doesn't?
