  1. Hugh's daughter has been "bandied about" and I do think it's one of the more likely options. I still lean towards Data's* or Borg Queen's daughter a bit more. Also---we could have Q, meet Hugh... *like, Lal 2.0, made in secret or something.
  2. Eh, less Windblade and more like really fancy Windblade cosplay.
  3. HUGE Piranacon fan here, but I just don't think they look that great all things considered. The alt-modes are all over the place---Tentakil is terrible, Seawing's ok, Nautilator is a smidge better I think, Overbite ok, Skalor great. Haven't seen most bot-modes yet. If I could, I'd pick up a US mass release Skalor, but am not importing these guys at $35 each. Will stick with my TFC set.
  4. Yeah, but it LOOKS cool. And a pilot's ego is the most effective thing there is, as Top Gun taught us all.
  5. Eh, there's less below because they added humps on top. Considering how visible the upper surface is compared to the belly, I'd have actually preferred a little bit more "robot under the plane" rather than adding FAST packs alongside the passenger cabin, blocking out those very expensive first-class views outside the window...
  6. New scheme? Metallic paint?
  7. It's out enough that there's unboxing vids on youtube, commenting on the engines... Apparently 9 months wasn't enough time to change it from the sample they showed back in 2018.
  8. I think I've come to the same conclusion as before----despite the zillion 3P Dinobots, there's still none I really like in dino mode (the most important mode). They all have some stupid deal-killing design decision (or two or three).
  9. Are there any side-by-side comparison pics for Graviter vs Stomp in dino mode? (Gigapower's vs FT's Sludge). I rank dino-mode as the most important thing for a dinobot, but I seem to be in the minority. I'd also be very interested in the same thing for their Snarls.
  10. And so, the final retail release of the Armada Executor, seems to have doubled-down on the blue engines error. Now, instead of "ISD light blue" they're almost a deep royal blue. WTF. I mean, were they watching the VERY special edition or what?
  11. Relevant, and still one of the oldest and funniest pics I know of from the 'net:
  12. I don't recall any other colors in the aztec pattern either, hmmmn. Also---are the markings on the front half of the pylons engraved? They're either WAY too deep or painted with contrasting accent lines or something. There's no grooves on the pylons, the whole hull is pretty smooth on the D, any raised or depressed detail is subtle.
  13. So, you have an LED color-changing tutorial for me?
  14. How hard is it to change LED colors? Would like a magenta/purple one for Mirage. (and Revan!) What exact shape/size is used? And super-detailed soldering, or just "basic" skills?
  15. Give me a resonably-sized/priced Unicron, with his iconic beard, and I'm interested. I'm not interested in a 30-in (deeper than any shelf or chest I own) $$$$$$$ square-chinned version.
  16. Saw my first F-35C today. The beefy nosegear looks better, I think.
  17. A. Intentional for the laughs. B. Considered it, but doesn't have the right tone.
  18. I noticed those were some big-ass GBU's under the wings when Maverick rolled inverted----not sure a Hornet (or any plane) can do that with that kind of load.
  19. Thread needs more pics: Anyone got a screen cap of Ian McKellan? That one's gold.
  20. I hadn't thought of it that way, but you're probably right. Makeup and costumes for the dozens of characters shown would add up quickly. They CG *everything* now, even for something as basic as "stock footage of a helicopter flying over a desert", because it's cheaper to CG it from scratch, than to license the actual stock footage... Is Taylor Swift the only one wearing shoes? That looked odd, when all the others were "naked"...
  21. The "every Hornet in the formation gets a vapor cone" shot looked pretty fake to me.
  22. Yeah, new pics show my fear was unfounded---it's a full sphere.
  23. Yeah, a LOT of people miss that the Refit Constitution has kind of a 2-stage deflector "light-up-sequence"---it glows dim yellow for a second, then "brightens up into a blue".
