  1. Yeah, that may actually be my #1 complaint at the moment--the smooth shiny plastic. Yamato's "subtle texture" that makes their valks matte looks much more realistic IMHO. Shows every slight fingerprint, too. Ironically, the paint is very matte.
  2. Apparently there's a per-post pic limit. And you can't post a new post until someone else posts! Anyways---is that supposed to be Nora's, or just one from the same squadron etc?
  3. I've rented WFC for a few days for the 360, so if you see "Xenogears Id" go ahead and invite or join if you'd like.
  4. Being a multi-platform title, it's mainly being discussed in the "all purpose games thread" and the Transformers thread.
  5. Yet ironically, they said it was based on wheeljack's design. So, credit to the customizer, but not to Hasbro. PS---the final design being different may be understatement of the year. We'll see how well wheeljack's many hours of quality effort translate into semi-mass production by Chinese factory workers.
  6. I'm pretty sure repainting everything would take far more time and effort than even a dozen attempts at mixing paint to match. ::edit:: To everyone---does the paint on the metal part of the shoulder hinge chip/flake? That's quite glossy paint, pure Future should match it pretty well---but is it needed at all?
  7. Post away! PS---I've been trying to think of how to customize the pilot. The arms being "molded" to the sides makes it harder--nigh-impossible to narrow the waist because of that.
  8. Futuring away... (yes, that's a verb on modeling forums---and "Futured" is an adjective). The stripes being metallic will make it harder to match, to paint the missing hip-gun-panel stripe.
  9. Oh, it's true, she'll offer to take care of your fish. She just sucks at it, and they'll die quickly.
  10. Got mine, won't be transforming it for a while though---the paint is much more matte than I suspected, so raw Future over it will be hyper-obvious, I'm going to have to mix up some flat-Future batches and see which one will dry to the right sheen. (I have planned for months that I would coat the nose and shoulders with Future BEFORE the first transformation---I'm not taking any chances on scraping paint). Anyways, having never owned a VF-27, a few things I've noticed and am wondering if Brera's is the same: Darkest stripes are metallic paint. Intake covers are metallic paint. Beam cannon is molded in metallic plastic. Lime green details (like the back of the hand stripe) are metallic paint.
  11. Eriku--you didn't even want yours a week ago! (If only the mail would hurry and up deliver mine...)
  12. Yup, and feeding CONSTANTLY---they still die. (I think that's considered over-feeding)
  13. Well, I'd buy business suit Grace, but I figured flightsuit would sell a lot better... (and I'd prefer it anyways)
  14. Strangely, I ended up with a "perfect" ending for my renegade run without even really trying---so my paragon run is going to be different on purpose.
  15. The point remains--the other characters have NOTHING---not gashapon, not fig, not statue, not poster. I'm pretty sure Grace's screen time/importance far surpassed Klan's. (now, Nanase was asleep for like the last 1/3 of the series, so..) And of course I mean flightsuit Grace, not business suit Grace. We've got TWO flightsuit Klans now...
  16. I just realized how awful his landing gear is.
  17. They just ruined a P-38. A proper P-38 transforming like that could have been amazing. As it is, it's a steam-punk-nightmare P-38. (I want either REAL planes, or very fake planes--don't do "screwed up to avoid copyright laws or to look "kewl" versions of real planes). (IMHO ROTF Dirge is just enough to be "fake"--he's Harrier-esque, but so far off from the real one that I'm ok with it---plus he's sleek and not faux-steam-punk)
  18. Like we need ANOTHER Klan fig, when there's still no Grace, no Nanase, no Kathy... (Sheryl/Ranka are expected---they are the main characters. Klan has a grand total of like 15 mins of screen time in the entire series)
  19. I'm going to brush on Future, but only over the nose striping and shoulder striping---I'm not going to overcoat the main plastic areas themselves.
  20. My record from HLJ is like 18-22 hours, and that was with UPS.
  21. Sharon Apple scenes would work so well in 3D...
  22. Wow, wrong colors* on Overbite, and with stickers pre-mis-applied! (I am a big Seacons fan) PS---original G1 Seacons had QA/fit issues, "mold wear" etc---I can't imagine how the mold is now, after the JP BW ones, etc. *Overbite's mid-section and gun should be pure G1 Decepticon purple---he's the "uniquely colored" Seacon, the only one with purple. **Also, if they don't include at least one "weapon stand" than you can't really do Piranacon right. I am 100% sure the official instructions have been wrong all these years, and miss a step---use the weapon stand rifle for Piranacon when in gun mode, not the limb's personal weapon. It just looks/works/fits so much better--it CANNOT be coincidence that that part has no other use, and is shaped the way it is. PPS--the original sword was lavender, not chromed. It's supposed to be kind of coral-seaweed-y. (based on the mold details)
  23. We're over-due for AC7 anyways. It was darn near a launch game for the 360.
  24. Remember, a jet's exhaust is created at the last turbine stage---not the nozzle. The nozzle's purpose is to optimize the flow of the exhaust. Plenty of things can (and do) happen between the turbine and the nozzle---most commonly, that's where you put an afterburner assembly in. Less often, a secondary or even tertiary intake. And in the VF-19S apparently, there's going to be bleed ramps or something that go to the ankle verniers.
