Yup. Boeing likes raked wingtips-----the 764, 772LR, 773ER, 787, and 748 all have them instead of winglets. Boeing hasn't designed a plane with winglets since 1989. (though newer 737s almost all have them now, they are not part of the original 737NG design). Generally--they'll retrofit a winglet, but if starting from scratch they want to rake the tip. I figure it also can't be added later, or they'd have used the 764's tips to retrofit 762's and 763's.

GI Joe 30th Anniversary Line Fall 2011

It's been a long time since I've seen an actual Skystriker--going from memory, I think many 1/48 decals would work? -
Gray and orange are kind of odd for house colors, but here's the first pax 747-800: (I refuse to call it 747-

I posted that like, 10 posts ago--it's still on this page. Anyways---seems Takara's next 2 "Masterpiece Movie" figs will be Leader Sentinel Prime and Ironhide. Hmmmn. Price vs paint will certainly be a figure for which version to buy.

If only.

It was obvious months ago they were going with "iconic art on box" Bastila, not "how she actually looks". I think that's mainly to placate the non-gaming fans, who have likely only ever seen that one pic that's always shown of her. I too much prefer the orangey-coral-pink version. (it's hard to describe that color)

That struck me in the first second they showed it. Sure, she's probably learned a lot from Anakin---but Anakin can build working starships and droids from scrap...- 1217 replies

It's a Bioware game, so you know how the dialogue tree/choices work. Combat is more old-school quasi-turn driven, akin to KOTOR.

The MW Automotive Thread Quattro SpecV

Looks to me like they angled/curved every button and switch in an attempt to look "cool" with no thought given to ergonomics. -
I just saw something mentioned but it's one of those things that's impossible to get good search results for: It seems that Takara-Tomy is going to re-release a ROTF Prime mold again? Will this be yet another Buster Prime or what? I missed out/waited too long and never got one, so if they're doing it again I'm very interested. (especially since I am so not impressed by DOTM Prime---dare we hope for an even better one in the future?)

GI Joe 30th Anniversary Line Fall 2011

New "iconic" Storm Shadow is neat. Skystriker engines--weird. My money's on the guy just went to images.google.com and typed in "F-14", and didn't realize that F-14D engines won't work for an F-14A mold, but tried to scribe them in anyways. -

Technically POC, but it is so a 25th Ann Techno-Viper: http://www.theterrordrome.com/wp-content/gallery/toy-fair-2011/poc-techno-viper.jpg -
This could go in several threads, but I'll put it here. Future SDCC exclusive crossover. Skystriker re-release as Starscream with flightsuit Cobra Commander with Megatron as his pistol. Pic credit to http://GIJoeClub.com

Future can be brushed on by hand to a smoother finish than many clear coats can be airbrushed. The difference is most noticeable when applied to a canopy or windshield.

If that thumbnail was any bigger I'd consider it a fairly major spoiler.

IMHO the feet aren't too small---the ankles are too big. -
And stronger and easier to apply. There's a reason it's used on so many award-winning models. It's considered as essential as paint and glue for plastic kit builders nowadays.

Interesting. Wonder if Kawamori was thinking of the F-14-----it's said that opponents learned to "read" the position of the wings as a clue for the plane's energy status---and soon after F-14 pilots started to adjust the wings manually to try to trick their opponenets.

Favorite Miyazaki Film
David Hingtgen replied to Xx-SKULL-ONE-xX's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I've only seen about half of them (and I have to search them out at local rental places) but went with Spirited Away---almost clicked on Laputa, but Laputa is more of an "overall feeling" of liking it, while Spirited Away I vividly remember many specific scenes and moments, so it certainly left a greater impression. Howl's Moving Castle is my most recently-seen one. (I think Mononoke was the first). -

Interesting---new Legos. With a new Asajj figure. And she's wearing the outfit she had in the previous animated Clone Wars series. (I don't think "outfit changes" count as a spoiler) http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/uploads//1296693960/gallery_2351_21_359021.jpg- 1217 replies

Correct, but it no longer looks like the pic in the article. The change isn't as big as when it went from Future to Pledge w/Future though.

No, it's not a typo, it's the reason I posted. THAT is how long "reputable sources" have been talking about how ZOE 3 is coming. Nothing ever comes of it. (actually, with a 2007 ETA, the article is likely from 2006) Somewhere I think there's a 2008 interview about ZOE 3...
