  1. I almost want to say that's a typo in the DX mechanics----"approaches that of the A configuration"---wouldn't that imply it is the original YF, and that the newer super parts can boost its performance to match that of the refined, superior "A" version of the production model? Or in other words---the YF-19 w/VF-25 packs is approximately equal to a VF-19A, performance-wise. It's the only way I can make sense of what's said. On a related note--studying the VF-27 in the movie leads me to believe that there's no chance of Bandai making the new pack for it. It's got a LOT more than just a new back-mounted booster. It's got YF-19-style leg missile launchers, forearm armor, and shoulder armor. The back boosters could easily mount where the fold booster does now, but the other parts---no way, and certainly not while still being able to fit together in fighter mode. (plus the -27's few minutes of screen time in the movie while almost never clearly showing the additions, gives Bandai little incentive to do it) (personally I kind of thought the boosters were silly/overkill--does the -27 really need MORE engines, of all things?)
  2. Hmmn. According to that list, Ozma's armor was never available separately. That'll suck if that's the case this time, as I want his armor 100x more than I want the super-pack-boosters.
  3. Thanks for the heads-up, just pre-ordered mine, too. And I'm also looking for any potential future group-buy-buddies.
  4. I always thought Sandrock looked "the least like itself" for the EW version. It's my fave in the series, my least-fave in EW.
  5. Commie's own website has multiple options/resolutions. http://commiesubs.com/ Anyways---I liked the first movie a lot better.
  6. Su-35 (the new Su-35, not the original) 1:50----hammerheaded cobra? 2:55---that's pretty much just yelling out a big "F you, physics!"
  7. I noticed that too--I don't think they ever actually said "O'Connor" despite being transcribed as such every time.
  8. Personally, I liked the series ending better in most every way. Songs, final battle, etc. (and I like armored VF-25's more than the YF-29, too)
  9. It only takes one really famous one though to make a scheme legendary.
  10. No no, Ver 1 is Kawamori's true idea of the VF-25 rendered correctly, chunky and sturdy.
  11. There's plenty of direct-download raws out there. But at this point--I'd just wait for a subbed version.
  12. Zinc rot? Though that'd be a new record for how fast it appears.
  13. First ep is worst ep.
  14. A notch/bump that will "lock" the wing into a specific position. This makes it easy to get both wings at the exact same angle. It's kinda like a ratcheting joint but simpler and looser.
  15. They're not "new new" since the v.1 VF-1 had them. (and they were awesome and are much-missed)
  16. Normally, this'd be nose-art, but it's on the tail: zz_chinook2 by Hickory Shampoo, on Flickr zz_chinook3 by Hickory Shampoo, on Flickr
  17. Oooh, wing indents! The lack of them on the V2 VF-1 annoys me EVERY time I position the wings.
  18. "Doesn't fly any faster than the 707". Doesn't even fly AS fast... (the 707 is still one of the fastest airliners ever, 747 is still the fastest non-SST)
  19. Hey, just because Mylene has long, straight, pink hair and is cute... (she's from M7, so it's almost sorta related to this thread) But yeah, we should get back to the VF-17...
  20. Eh, I got an HLJ shipment in like 20 hours once. (A Zoid for Christmas, when they still used UPS) And yeah---we should start forming "Ozma armor group buys" like now. And Alto Super Packs, of course.
  21. Oh yeah, F-22 grounded again. Same reason.
  22. Shadow has RBD as his avatar now, too. And I'm seriously thinking about changing mine...
  23. VMFA-232 is listed in the game's credits---not sure for what. There is no Legacy Hornet in the game, so I figure Namco is "saying thanks" as best they can this way. (though again---no Legacy Hornet?)
  24. "plane mode fails---MP-03 color scheme better"-----are you saying Greenscream has a better/more accurate paint-job than the Ghost Grey G1 version? Can't quite tell what you mean from your post. MP-11 is the first G1-esque Starscream toy since the original G1 toy itself to actually get the color right. (still dunno why "G1 SS" has been nearly white the past couple of iterations---he never was before, he was always very clearly definitely obviously grey)
  25. Wonder if we'll see a Guillame repaint. (though it's pretty easy to do yourself I'd imagine, with some rubbing alcohol) **idea** THAT's it. That'll be how they sell the "Alto" Super Pack. It'll be bundled with a *Guillame* VF25F.
