  1. That is indeed a BIG insignia. Hmmn. I am honestly *slightly* disappointed in the paint scheme---while it does follow the original G1 toy, the toy itself had a simplified paint scheme as it'd be too costly to emulate the exact scheme of the Countach it was based off of. This is neither a typical real Countach scheme, nor the scheme that the original G1 toy attempted to copy. (the G1 toy is based off of one particular Countach that had a unique paint scheme, the front fenders are the main giveaway)
  2. HLJ still doesn't have MP-12 for pre-order. Do they normally wait longer than other places? It's been a while since I imported an MP so I can't remember. (I'm going to go with HLJ or BBTS, it pretty much depends on what HLJ's pre-order discount is)
  3. For how much MP Soundwave costs (they upped the retail price with the latest news) it should have come with more than one cassette.
  4. MP-14 is Red Alert. (thus, there is no MP-12A or MP-12R)
  5. They could have just sent the smallest guy they had.
  6. Well that's interesting----"Mylene Sterling" http://wbd.deviantar...rling-169633198
  7. I may be weird but actually prefer a tight flightsuit over raw skin. And Grace without her glasses just isn't very Grace-y, you know?
  8. The wheels and tires look the *most* out-of-place of all the bits it's Frankensteined from. Let's see-----Firebird-esque front fascia? Top half of a hearse?
  9. They're going to announce MP-14 next week at the Tokyo Toy Show too. My vote goes to Galvatron. (based on the new numbering system, this should be a new mold, not a repaint etc)
  10. I have to disagree with that statement. "Selling out" and "maximizing sales" are not the same thing. Based on how many people still want but can't get a VF-25F, VF-25S, YF-29, or VF-25G, Bandai has not maximized sales, not even close to it.
  11. Sad but true. I still hold the recent GI Joe movie as a prime and hated example of this. They used bad CGI of Apache helicopters flying over a desert. Maybe a 5-second scene. They did nothing but fly over some sand. And they didn't have special GI Joe markings or anything. Surely there's a million hours of stock footage of Apache choppers over the desert. But they instead did some obviously-fake CG from scratch instead.
  12. Reposting for all who haven't seen it---an AMAZING repaint of MP-10 Prime: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/552723-mp-10-optimus-prime-full-repaint-pic-heavy.html Basically, he wanted it to look as realistic as possible.
  13. I really need to work on my night photography.
  14. Any chance the expression was "dull surprise"? (Transformers fans may get the reference)
  15. Anyone else hear there may be some sort of radicalibration mini-game?

    DX VF-25G

Which has almost zero relation to apparent market demand at this point.
  17. Basically it went like this---casual, kinect, casual, celebrity appearance, kinect, actual game reveal, casual, kinect, kinect, another celebrity, Halo 4, web-browsing, TV-ipod-XboxLive, ESPN-XboxLive, end. One giant "we're trying to copy Nintendo/get I-phone casual players as much as possible" announcement. Actual new games/tech for gamers---very little.
  18. I saw a vehicon once, passed on it, waiting for the jet version. (and passed on Knockout twice----Knockout's paint scheme is just WRONG---that's very different from being simplified for cost reasons like usual---they simply applied a lot of paint of the wrong colors in the wrong places).

    DX VF-25G

It absolutely is---because while the Tamashii webshop is exclusive/limited---THEY MAKE AS MANY AS THEY GET ORDERS FOR. If only 407 are ordered, they make 407. But it they get 23,602 orders then they'll make 23,602. There's no pre-order discount, but if you want one and pre-order it---you'll get it. (and pre-orders are open for days/weeks at a time) At this point, I think most everyone wishes the VF-25S, VF-171EX, and VF-25G were done just like the Tamashii webshop stuff----just get your order in (at your leisure--you can afford to wait for your next paycheck or two) before the deadline, and you're sure to get one. No refreshing a site 500 times, no "we only got 6% of our order in", no staying online 24/7 just to NOT get one...
  20. Seems that Prime Airachnid is even worse in-hand than the early pics lead us to believe: http://www.seibertro...l-review/24994/ (the opening cockpit gimmick not only leads to a giant hood/backpack as we already knew, it also means there's no actual head, merely a sculpted face on the bottom of the pilot's seat) But for those who want a cool black/purple vehicle-based Decepticon female, Perfect Effect revealed the robot mode of their Not-Arcee remold recolor via the comic included with the first release: http://img801.images.../7072/scang.jpg
  21. I still think Grace as Mylene would look better.
  22. Who wants an SR-71 tailfin to hang on their wall? http://www.ebay.com/...625bd2d&vxp=mtr Interestingly, #955 is on display at Edwards---quite intact. But SR-71 fins did get swapped around and repainted often enough, so it could easily be an 'original' tailfin of 955, and thus 955 currently may have at least 1 fin that was swapped from another. The infamous "Rapid Rabbit" has 1 tailfin remaining out there, despite having crashed: http://www.habu.org/.../17975-978.html
  23. Erm, Basara's suit has clearly been "adjusted" to fit Sheryl. Same way Mylene's would be "adjusted" to fit on Grace.
  24. Yup, only the 1/72 kit includes a newly-molded pilot, the DX just repainted Brera into a generic CF lackey male pilot. So we only have half-a-Grace. (as the kit pilots are cut off at the waist)
