  1. I need one, period! I have the super pack, armour pack, and 0 valks to put them on. I too hope they do a reissue with the Tornado pack, so I can sell off the tornado pack to people with the earlier renewals. (it's already spoken for, Eugimon claimed my potential future spare tornado pack long ago) I just pray they don't change the colors, and make it minty-blue like the last time...
  2. Isn't that part of the basic transformation to battroid mode? Or do you just mean in fighter mode? (and then, it does so when equipped with full armor) I agree the only time we see anything akin to high-speed mode for the -25 (and in pure basic fighter form), it doesn't fold its fins though. (end of ep 13)
  3. I think I'm going to pass on FoC Grimlock. Tail too fat, chest too hollow. (I know I'm in the minority, but my TF's spend lots of time in alt-mode. I kept my MP-01 in truck mode for like a year straight)

  5. The -25's fins don't "line up" with anything though, and they actually lay above the wings when flat. AFAIK. Does the masterfile show some different arrangement than the Frontier CGI show models and all the kits/toys? The -30's appear to be exactly "inter-meshed" with the wings, not merely parallel to.
  6. It better be able to do high-speed mode like in the game---it's quite simple, unlike the -19's. They just have to make sure all the edges/angles line up.
  7. Did we know that the YF-30 has a high-speed mode prior to this? The tailfins fold down flat and seem to perfectly mesh in with the trailing edge of the wing, making it a delta-winged plane.
  8. If you're doing a Tu-144, then you should do a Concorde! That'd be like going from an F-15 to a MiG-25... Anyways---I've though an Su-24 might work, you could fudge the scale a bit to make it a lot bigger than the others. (A Tornado has a very similar shape, but it'd look odd if it was much bigger than the others)
  9. They went 6 for 6 with alt-modes for Hercules, and kept the G1 color scheme with about 95% accuracy. I doubt they're too concerned with copyright. Also, Lockheed is the pickiest of all the aircraft companies for licensing---I think they're more likely to sue TFC than Hasbro... (of course, Superion already had an F-16 too, and so will Uranos, so it's a moot point)
  10. All of which is why----why'd they pick an SR-71? It's not the G1 alt-mode, and it's the worst possible choice to try to make a TF out of. "Hey guys, let's keep 4 out of 5 jets the same, but change the team leader to something that'll be even harder to make a good figure out of than a Concorde and is already established as the alt-mode of another character" Seriously, I think that's what TFC must have said at their discussions on making a new Superion... Next thing you know, they'll try making Piranacon, and keep 5 of 6 figs the same, but change Snaptrap to an electric eel.
  11. If anyone would like to see US MP Prime with the MP-10 Reprolabels set applied (I've not seen anyone else do this, and I'm certainly the only one who embossed the tread pattern back in) I posted pics at TFW: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-feedback/640130-2012-tru-exclusive-hasbro-masterpiece-optimus-prime-39.html#post8977378
  12. Backwards---they should be down in alt mode (so that the piping elbows are visible) A pic of most any real semi will show this well.
  13. Also the clear yellow bits are more of an automotive "amber" color on the US version.
  14. Duh, Grace is in it!
  15. It's MG *scale* not MG *sized*. Just as a 1/6 scale Mylene figure would be much smaller than a 1/6 scale Roy figure, an MG Kshatriya could be as large as some PG kits. Even better reference---look at all the 1/60 valks. VF-1's the smallest, because it's the smallest in "real life". It needs to be 1/48 scale to be the same *size* as most of the others in 1/60. Kshatriya is so huge it's as big as an MG, as some others would be in PG.
  16. The possibilites of a Sharon-Grace team-up are endless---and awesome. Ooooh---download Sharon's AI into Grace's body...
  17. Not to rain on your parade, but these pics only cemented my decision to pass on Uranos: You know, the angles TFC never photographed from, but we all knew would be ugly. I honestly do believe it has thicker kibble than movie Jetfire.
  18. True, and that's why Trypticon is so much better.
  19. So ALL they have is the CAD? You can design all the .000000001 millimeter details and clearances you want, it's another thing entirely to actually mold the thing accounting for draft angles and uneven shrinkage as it cools. (you can generally avoid the draft-angle issue with multi-part/siding molds, but since Bandai is about the ONLY company that does that beyond "1 piece per kit", I doubt we'd see it to any extent here) Also, I sure hope it's more olive drab, and not *GREEN*.
  20. G1 Blitzwing was a MiG-25. Not sure on the tank, a T-72 I think? But the point is--they were accurate enough to be clearly identifiable exactly what they were. And they hid their "other" points from 3/4 of the viewing angles. Going to "Cybertronian" alt-modes is frankly lazy, to "get around" issues inherent to triple-changers. "Oh, just ignore that entire half of the other vehicle--Cybertronian jets have big treads and armor plating, and Cybertronian tanks have wings and fins and intakes!" Don't care what plane he is, so long as he's a plane. BTW, I often mention Blitzwing and his MiG-25 alt-mode as "things that work" for Transformer planes. Boxy planes work. SR-71's do not. Similarly--I want an Astrotrain that's a *NASA orbiter*. Not a shuttle-esque vehicle, or a shuttle with a bullet train nose strapped on either side.
  21. I'll probably pick up Springer and Blitzwing, but only due to their cheapness. Springer looks pretty good (about as good as it'll get until someone figures out how to make a big long skinny tail-boom without making it into pure kibble in robot mode AND hiding it in car mode) But Blitzwing? Again--because he's cheap, but I'm a huge fan of the character, and still think his G1 toy is one of the best triple-changers ever, from any series. This is not a jet--this is a chunk of tank and robot parts, with wings and a nosecone poking out. I will still hope for either MP or 3P Blitzwing. I want a *jet* and a *tank*. Not a block with treads and a gun, not a block with taifins and a cockpit. I expect vehicle mode to equal/surpass the G1 toy, not be worse. PS--does no one else recognize that the tread-legs (and even forearms) are also Animated, not G1? (Not that I'm complaining, I'm just saying everyone else is acting like it's an Animated head on a G1 body) Anyways, as for Metroplex---I'm sure I'm not the first/only one, but does anyone else get a Supreme Cheetor vibe from this? HUGE, yes, with light-up gimmicks. But is his transformation any more complex than a deluxe? Definite pass for me. For that much money, I want the transformation to need more than 3 steps...I mean heck, BOTH other modes are 'sit robot down, flip open leg panels'. The only difference is whether he's laying on his back or front, and whether the panels flip forward or to the sides...
  22. How recent the kit is, is more important than grade. A new HG can beat an old MG. Same for MG vs PG.
