  1. I like their cycle-bots, but they are excessive parts-formers. More so than just about anything I can think of short of Super Fire Convoy's armor. (also, for a Blackarachnia homage---simply not feminine enough IMHO)
  2. I would--it's the only one where pre-ordering now will actually save you money. If you complete the team, you can still get 4 of the 5 discounts, having only missed Talon/Divebomb's. Also, Bovis includes both a foot and a fist, so should be a very good one to get an impression of how the finished gestalt will look like. Or as always---there's no issues with cancelling pre-orders at BBTS. Pre-order everything you think you might want, just to reserve a spot in case---then if you don't want it, or can't afford it, cancel it when the time comes.
  3. Wow, Quake Wave went from "little interest" to "must buy". Yeesh, running out of money. I'm seriously considering ditching my pre-order for the Explorer/Munitioner re-release---even though it's relatively cheap compared to newer 3P combiners, it's definitely inferior by modern standards---and it still has Energon figs at its core. (and still probably won't match the Energon release that well, color-wise). I could use the money to buy Quake Wave.
  4. FP's Menasor is indeed based off this: Mainly because the transformation actually works and is quite ingenious without needing add-on fists and feet, etc. I'll be amazed if Motormaster's cab actually splits 4 ways to form both feet and both thighs--but it'd be awesome. Really, it's not a skeleton-former, but more like G1 Devastator IMHO. Depending on how closely they follow things (they've clearly gone with different alt-modes) this may hint at the robot modes of the 3 unrevealed figures: http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attach/3/9/4/7/1/TF05cvr_1268768043.jpg
  5. Hikotai is the only one I know, already mentioned.
  6. Relevant to post again---it came out a while ago, but everywhere I go only has a blurry screen-cap of it from a slide-show, not the actual drawing: That is FP's Menasor. Though if it's anything like MMC's Predaking, a lot could have changed since then.
  7. Things like this make me wonder---he spent all that time and effort and research into designing and showing off the movable wing---and then gets it backwards? You put it UP for takeoff, not down...
  8. BTW, the sixth member of MMC's Predaking is a saber tooth tiger, to replace Divebomb as an arm and allow Divebomb to mount on the back.
  9. I'd buy a Grace or Mylene version of that. Just keep swapping the head sculpt.
  10. Odds are good that they'll reveal the next figure when the pre-order bonus window for this one expires. I'm pre-ordering as they come---no reason not to via BBTS or most of the other places that carry these---can always cancel later if you don't like how things are going---none of these will actually be out for a while. (except Breakdown, who is likely only a couple weeks away) Plus, selling off almost-new-barely-used 3rd party stuff is usually pretty easy if you decide you don't want it after you've got it.
  11. Since I don't own one, I just now see that the big tailfin stickers have the white stripes printed on---that's actually a bad thing IMHO. If they were left unprinted/clear, then the off-white of the tailfin would show through and be a perfect match---but much more importantly, if one were the paint the background area red, then put the stickers over it--you'd have perfectly straight/crisp FB2012-style red stripes. (which was a method I'd considered)
  12. That just furthers my opinion that Wildrider and Dead End should be switched. You know, make the Ferrari a Ferrari.... (Plus the paint job worked so much better for Dead End as the fake concept car)
  13. Because clear windshields lead to mis-matched paint. See MP Sideswipe. (also, clear plastic is weaker) Also, it seems the windshield splits into several pieces as part of the transformation---it'd look ugly in clear with all the seams and hinges.
  14. While fan-faves, Jazz and Wheeljack have *no* repaints that I can think of. Makes them unlikely unless the new "smaller and quicker releases" turns out to be very popular.
  15. IIRC, with their latest rules: Pre-orders can be done in any currency. You will be charged that amount in that currency when you pay. You are "locked in" to whatever it was quoted at. Orders for in-stock items must be done in yen. Rough example: Pre-order something for 10,000 yen, in USD. That'd be $110 at the current rates. Now, say 6 months from now it actually arrives. You will have to pay $110, in USD. That may be very good, or very bad for you, depending on how the exchange rate changed. If that 10,000 yen item had been ordered in yen, and it's now 50 yen per dollar or 150 yen per dollar... At the moment, and with the likely continuing trend, I could have saved 5/10/20 bucks if I'd ordered in yen, and pay in yen when it comes out. (I wanted yen to start with, but in the rush to secure a pre-order, I missed that option)
  16. Gah, I accidently preordered in USD at N-Y and the yen keeps dropping....
  17. That's just how they do it---instead of more teasers for a year and a half, they show almost-finished stuff then have it at your house a month later. I wouldn't be totally surprised if a completed Menasor is in people's homes 12 weeks from now. (they wanted to show all 5 at the previous reveal, but they weren't all ready---so if Breakdown is now 99% final, the others must be close)
  18. You can pre-order it at BBTS. BBTS tends not to put up "rumors" on their site with a price. ($79.99)
  19. MP-17 is Prowl, MP-18 is Smokescreen. I will wait for the inevitable Bluestreak. (boy are there a lot of repaints for him alone---G1 toy colors, G1 anime colors, and of course---"catalog blue"
