  1. I'm really hoping Arcadia retains "solid" pins----IMHO that is a big part of the reason for the VF-171 parts cracking. Hollow pins have edges and are not as perfectly round---all of which create stress on the parts as they rotate.
  2. For the "ultimate" YF-19 this is shaping up to be, I'll gladly pay. It's my fave valk, period.
  3. Too late. If there was no new YF-19, I'd so buy this. But with a new -19, I'm getting his -19. Would still like a -29 and -30, but still just not really fond of any scheme yet so far.
  4. Thirded. The -3000 is awesome and I would love to have one.
  5. Function X---knowing FP, I wouldn't be surprised if they showed up with cases of Quad-U and Smart Robin for sale at TF Con. Not too likely IMHO, but I wouldn't be shocked. Also, my vote is that they will have an Initimidator there to show, but using the same "uncolored M3" we've seen before--but all 4 limbs will be finished of course. If we're real lucky, they'll have some sort of "more involved" alternate transformation for the car-shins.
  6. Follows real-world Naval practice. They don't re-number the planes every day or week, but over the course of a couple months/years, several different airframes from within the squadron may be painted up and numbered as "the commander's plane".
  7. I thought of Sharon, too. But yeah, Newman is much more needed/appropriate. And they already made one for the FAST pack set, so I'd like to see an improved version of him.
  8. No, but they should look like they did on the show. Blue and Yellow always turn out the best, Red and Green the worst. Black varies between "pretty bad and pretty good". But if ever a set had a GOOD red and green, I've not seen it. Give me this:
  9. From what I've seen---the KO may have more opaque/consistent paint, but it's of lower quality overall---orange peel, more bumps. But thick and opaque.
  10. Yeah, I'm pretty sure the entire -171CF is made of explodium at this point. Explodium, held together by copious amounts of tampo-printing...
  11. I recognize every scheme but that one in the corner as being real, so I'm thinking it may be, just have to find what pane wore it...
  12. I still don't get why they changed the FAST pack booster mounting---the 1/48's looked a *lot* better, seems more secure, and is straighter. It's my biggest complaint with the 1/60. It's overall a better toy than the 1/48, but one of the few ways it's worse is one of the things they shouldn't have changed. After the 1/55, the v.2 has the worst-looking FAST pack attachments--because they are, like the 1/55, big external mounts that never appeared on-screen or in the drawings, and are big non-canon additions that are NOT needed, since most toys do just fine attaching the boosters directly to the backpack. As for the removable nose---pointless, and a negative---often gets a bit mis-aligned etc, and most valks never did it on-screen. It's not nearly as bad as the YF-21's limbs, but it's another "chops a major part of the valk in half and introduces joint/alignment/transformation issues, to replicate something that happened briefly and most toy owners will do once and never again"
  13. Awesome fighter jet pics (just trust me, their thumbnail link system hasn't been updated in years, and is now incompatible with most forum software) http://www.airliners.net/photo/Russia---Air/Sukhoi-T-50/2261755/L/ http://www.airliners.net/photo/Malaysia---Air/Sukhoi-Su-30MKM/2259985/L/ http://www.airliners.net/photo/UK---Air/Panavia-Tornado-IDS/2256204/L/ http://www.airliners.net/photo/Czech-Republic--/Saab-JAS-39C-Gripen/2029423/L/
  14. Based on the latest stuff, I'd say Disney/Pixar has peaked and is sliding down, while their competitors are actually offering the best stuff the last year or two.
  15. And you didn't take and post high-res video?
  16. Agreed--I would sell my US MP-09 in an instant for a new Hotrod----especially if it was only Hotrod, and didn't have a bunch of extra joints/parts that just make the transformation harder for Winnebago mode. The original G1 toy was two totally separate toys for the 2 characters---I'd actually like to see that again. Make each toy perfectly correct to each look, not a hybrid compromise in the middle of the two. My main gripes (both QA and design): Hood/front bumper! Thing is spring-loaded AT AN ANGLE and not tabbed into place. So many gaps/frustrations caused by this. The slope makes it constantly slide up due to the spring. I sanded the heck out of mine just to look decent, but of course it won't "lock" into place at all, and will pop up if you look at it funny. Spoiler---loose, always a bit lopsided. Attached to a brittle clear part for no apparent reason. (the JP version at least paints it, but again--why is it brittle clear plastic to start with? See next point) Windows---way too many clear parts which leads to tons of paint chips around the hinges. Even the JP version has many clear parts painted totally opaque. Why not just mold them in orange and red plastic? There really should only be ONE piece that's clear, the windshield itself. Headlights--both the US and JP versions are awful. Way too richly/darkly colored. Just do clear or something, like MP Sideswipe. Or a SUBTLE hint of color. Same complaint for windshield.
  17. Yeah, we need more pics/info. There's gotta be more. So many Sheryls lately, but Milia is inherently better. A lot better. ::edit:: Found: https://www.facebook.com/CanduStarkFans
  18. With how Takara's doing lately, I expect a new Rodimus first. And then new Megatron. And every single remaining 84-85 Autobot. THEN, maybe, a Galvatron, Cyclonus, or other "major" Decepticon.
  19. I'm still waiting for Zactoman's 1/32 version. Even if it takes him another decade to finish it, I will buy it.
  20. The 1/48 VF-1 is infamous for easily-collapsing nosegear, YF-19's not much better and has wonky main gear. SV-51's rear gear collapses. V1 1/60 VF-1 has collapsing mains IIRC.
  21. Blech, removable intake covers.
  22. I hope the landing gear LOCKS in place, in every axis, on all 3. Yeesh, Yamato never did have a valk where all the gear would stay down when rolling it back and forth, IIRC. Collapse in, collapse forward, collapse backward... Also, I really hope that VF-0D is a hint.
