Aircraft Super Thread Mk.VII

That's be an awesome patriotic color scheme if they used something like that. -
Based on the hinge, looks molded.

That light grey area on the LERX really looks like a mistake. I'd totally remove it if it's light grey paint over dark grey plastic. Hopefully it's not molded light grey and is missing dark grey paint----that's be hard to match and subject to wear during transformation. As for the overall color----if it was any darker, you couldn't see the black markings at all. It's supposed to be Ozma grey/black/yellow, not stealth pure utter black.

Oooh, I love the final colors. Reminds me more of the Su-47 now.

I want to see old worn-out B-wings in Ep VII, just like the Y-wings were in Ep IV. -
I've got my shipping notice from HLJ.

I think a big part of it for for me are the super pack colors. They match the valk perfectly---too perfectly. I like them to stand out, to make it obvious that "something more" has been added on. On this valk---you really can't see what's changed----where basic structure stops and super parts begin. Really, the super parts could have had a lot more yellow, or maybe be light grey like his -25's belly, or something. Lastly, the shield is just a solid grey chunk. Boring/lazy. Alto and 30th had way better-looking shields with their super packs.
-
Now the real question is---super parts or no? I'm leaning towards no. I really only like the smaller boosters, and not the "all-new wings w/flowers" bits.

Lots of clear color pics of Warbotron Not-Brawl: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.769129436454287.1073741825.753749834658914&type=1 IMHO, it looks good except for having someone else's head.- 9383 replies

I think the head's the best thing of this valk, and is why I want one---I just don't want one bad enough to go through the hassle of trying to get it.

Why would RGB even be a thing in this day and age? Yeah, it used to be the end-all-be-all for the Genesis, back when the Genesis reigned supreme. But nowadays---really, if you've got HDMI, that's all you could ask for. Might as well ask for S-Video, too, and charge an extra $150 for it...- 7040 replies

Recent photo of the currently-Lithuania-deployed Lakenheath-based F-15C's on patrol. Note the live AMRAAM's and Sidewinder-X's. -

In short, I'm just guessing: the new ATC program was programmed to only accept/deal with "logical" speeds/altitudes, to help filter out errors/spikes etc. So when a super-high plane reports its altitude/intended flightplan---it can't handle it. It also probably couldn't handle a ground-speed report from an SR-71. Almost akin to a Y2K-type issue. -

Yup, the 2015 revision ensured that I won't be buying a new Charger any time soon. May pick up a nice used 2014 if I find the perfect one though. 2012 redesign was awesome, but this---we wanted the Dart's nifty interior/color options brought over, but NOT its front end. They gave us its fugly front end and "softened" tail lights, but not the nifty interior stuff... Still hoping for a new Avenger(or even Intrepid) that's sorta like a bigger edgier Chrysler 200. 2015 Challenger looks nice, but will have to see it in person to decide if I like it more/same/less than the current one. -

My main question is how it says it has 154 parts. That seems really low. Like is the wing-rib assembly just one piece Z-folded a zillion times?
-
Heck, I might buy the VF-9 just to see how it transforms---the wings were complicated enough, but I never did totally figure out the 90-degree arm-bar-swing thing and how it cleared the hips etc.

Gyah, sorry, exact opposite IMHO. They ruined one of the sleekest planes around. -
At least a few people had some of the silvery-grey plastic fracture, chest-hinge area and maybe thighs.
-
Still waiting for repaint. (and there's got to be some coming, they're not going to make a DX mold from scratch for a single minor character) Probably in-game black/purple and maroon, and possibly non-canon Roy and/or Ozma...
-
Did they mess up and print the SMS symbols sideways on the wings, or is that how it's supposed to be on the -29?

Non-Japanese human characters in the Macross franchise?
David Hingtgen replied to Saruta's topic in Movies and TV Series
I've often wondered what Grace's background is---I mean, yeah, the name---but that's not really all that much to go on---I don't think Shaq O'Neal is very Irish. (could be wrong though!) But through sheer appearance---heck, with MF's animation style, I think anyone other than Alto is hard to be certain. -
That is how it is. Blame Kawamori, or the animators. Only a bit of the hip armor shares it, and it just plain looks really, really, really bland/odd there.
-
This, plus the fact that they seem to make it impossible to get replacement valk parts/assemblies, despite being totally willing to supply Gundam parts to most anyone/anywhere. Even HLJ etc can't get repair parts from them.
-
Well, we never see the YF-19 in space asides from when it's folding---every time it's fighting, it's in an atmosphere. Thus, aerodynamics/drag applies.
