  1. Tip for PG Zero: Trim about 10mm off of the long wires leading to the battery case. There's more than enough, the problem is trying to stuff it all inside near the end! (there's really nowhere for it to go)
  2. If anyone wants to trade me a set of purple canopy parts and fold crystals, I'm happy to swap for my clear canopy and light-blue fold crystals. Or might be willing to do just canopy.
  3. Peaugh's review:
  4. That actually was a plot point in the books I think----as it WAS a theme park, they tweaked the DNA to give people what they wanted/expected, not 100% accurate revivals.
  5. I swear I did those screws when I stripped the canopy of mine, and couldn't get the top/bottom halves of the forward fuselage to separate at all.
  6. You skipped over what I consider the important part---how'd you get the LERX's off? (as well as---what exactly did you tint with?)
  7. All purple. And yes, please specify both how you disassembled it (especially the small front windscreen) and how you tinted it.
  8. All they have to do is match the anime, instead of trying to "invent" new colors for the 0D. It wasn't hand drawn, it was very consistent from episode to episode. (unlike SDFM or even DYRL)
  9. Saturation seems right, but a bit too dark.
  10. 10 mins and still up, must have caught people off-guard.
  11. Original caption said it was visiting NAS Fort Worth to refuel.
  12. Well, if the acrylic base-pivots are salvagable, then that'll save the time/cost/effort of printing up replacements yourself, correct? The base-plates themselves don't need any work done, do they?
  13. Exactly. It's not a weapon. It only looks like a gunpod so that it'll still fit/transform with a -19 and so that a battroid can functionally wield it.
  14. Sorry, not my pic. (closest I've even been to Ft Worth is the airport)
  15. Hopefully the router will allow for quick consistent cuts, and once you've got it set up, you can fix the base pivots fairly quickly (and not have to custom-adjust it for each individual piece).
  16. Pretty much. The sample pics showed it properly painted, but the actual production run by the factory didn't match that.
  17. You forgot part of his leg transformation. ::edit:: And his windows.
  18. I wish my MP Sideswipe was molded in shiny red plastic, he'd look better...
  19. I believe it's mostly raw heat. Blue flame is hotter. Which would of course entail having the right fuel/oxygen etc to create heat THAT intense.
  20. Not Abominus: And BBTS already has the first one up for pre-order (NotBlot) with color pics: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=UQT10013&mode=retail And it says October! Based on a LOT of design cues, it seems very much like UT hired the guy that designed Feral Rex for MMC. (MMC then tweaked it a lot, but the basic design remained) The "non-traditiona" configuration (Blot and Cutthroat swapping places) certainly gives me pause, but I am considering that it "may be for the best"---mainly because in G1, Blot made for a very fat, stumpy arm---wider and thicker than it was long! If it turns out anywhere near as good as Feral Rex, it may be the best Abominus we get. Strange, I remember UT teasing Piranacon not too long ago---but here we have Abominus ready to go?
  21. I think people are confusing "rumors" with "wishes".
  22. Got my payment request from N-Y for Super parts, and tried their (new?) credit card option, via Hi-Pay. Googling, it seems legit, but isn't going through. Called card company---they show no activity/attempts, they're not "refusing" it on their ned. Anyone tried paying N-Y via credit card (directly, not paypal) lately?
  23. I've seen many people rave about Vallejo, but from the few times I tried them, I found them "strange". I wonder if I'm doing something wrong.
