    If you want to see what your should expect, just pick up a few issues of the Wildstorm Robotech comics by yune. Then when your done crying, start yelling at the kickstarter page.. Watch the retorts by members of RT.com with things like.. and

    Hey man, stop giving them good ways to bypass the law. Do you really want these hacks trying to ruin good characters and story? I'll gladly support Robotech.. in another producers, writers, directors hands. Until they change the momentum of fail brought on by the current inept staff, it's just never going to get better. If HG had a brain, they'd remove everyone that has given them dismal results the last decade, and bring in a new team of bright eye'd, well versed production people that would do the job. Robotech wasn't great because Fan's made it, it was great because it was done by an outside frame of reference. They need new people to come up with new ideas, and have a F****** clue about what sells in Anime. Shadow Chronicles does not sell, CGI does not fix terrible story telling. all things to remember before you basically throw your money in the trash. As said before, it's just for a Pilot show, meaning, it probably won't, and likely will never get anywhere in the age of well written animated cinema.

    Either way HG sucks, this will fail, and Robotech will once again be limited to the only greatness it was back in the 80's, for a very, very, very short time.

    The flaws in my argument? what flaws? These are public knowledge, Harmony Gold has the Animation and merchandising rights for "SDFM" the series, and absolutely nothing else. They have trademarked key words in North American to make it impossible for anyone else to bring in certain elements. They further forgerized this by sending Cease and Desist documents to several productions for Macross II, and Macross Plus, even though Harmony Gold DO NOT OWN THEM. What do you now understand about this situation? They used fear and threat to bully productions that didn't have the legal money to fight back and personally own HG at their own game. This was proven recently by Hasbro, who didn't even respond to HG's request to stop sell the jetfire mold. Hasbro didn't even respond!!! why? because they know HG has nothing to stand on. Getting a legal agent to respond on HG by getting an actual acknowledgement by Big West and Nue would end HG's rule of stupidity and allow the last 15 years of Macross shows come stateside. Why would you not support that?

    Alright, I'm going to officially start a new kick starter next month. It's going to be to pay for a high end lawyer, to do the leg work, to kick HG out of the "Macross" world, and back to the only thing they actually own.. which is to the animation, distribution, and merchandising rights of SDFM. Big West, Nue and Tatsu already battled it out in japan, they own the rights to "Macross", and that HG only owns the rights on SDFM. However HG started sending out C&D's to the other companies that were bringing over M2 and M+, saying they owned the rights to "Macross"... they also trademarked several "Macross" related names here in the US to keep anyone else from doing so. Essentially HG is a snake of a company, that used false tactics to insinuate that they have these licenses, when they don't. Just like when HG threatened to sue Hasbro for the Jetfire/VF-1J toy.. it was a empty threat. My idea is one of two. Either higher a lawyer to do the leg work to get and official stance from BW and Nue on the Macross rights for North America.. and Europe since HG also claims they own that as well! Or get enough money to pay for lawyers to basically... run HG out of legal money. I'm working on the logisitics of both currently. If you want to join in, I will need a few admins to help run the KS. *my Lawyer buddy just gave me a better idea, essentially begin work on a "live action fan made" Macross Plus or 7 adaptation. Wait for the C&D from HG, and then challenge them, they will actually have to prove it. which means they spend the money to prove that they own the rights. The Kickstarter would actually be for the production of the film, with the intent to use the money to fight HG. Just have to word that carefully so anyone funding knows the money may be switched to legal funds.

    I'm honestly thinking about making a Kickstarter that won't complete, but to make one that asks for 1 million $ to buy the rights away from HG just as a big middle finger to all of this. The only problem is, if somehow it made a million dollars lol.. I bet for 1 million I could hire a badass lawyer to dive into the whole license fiasco between HG, BW and everyone else. hmm.. anyone want to admin with me? lol

    Promise for what? They are buying an old anime show and repurposing it to fit some terribly hacked story at this point. It's telling that HG won't spend 500K on a license they own.. it means they don't have faith. They shouldn't because they've handled the entire franchise like crap for so long. Promise.. ha.. Promise that it will be just as terrible as Shadow cronicles? or as "new" as LLA? I'd rather pay 500K to have the promise that they'll never do another RT related thing again. Hell make firing Yune a stretch goal at 600K.

    Yune is in charge of producing, it's not about "if" it's going to fail, but by just the level of fail it will achieve. I have a dollar, and a better investment would be to use it to start my grill.

    They can't, they only have the license to use existing characters and video. That's why even a "New" robotech is just some other 80's anime re-purposed. It's kind of a joke now, I mean almost 30 years later and the new is still old? It's like HG is a 10 year old with a bunch of old VHS tapes and dubbing machine.

    I just sent a message asking if they would change it to "Do you want us out of Robotech". and How much that needs to be. That regardless of the answer, it would be more successful. haha But seriously, There's nothing "visonary" about this rehashed crap anymore.

    Looks like they are just learning from previous mistakes, and looking to avoid any future renewals with the brace. It looks like it has the VF-4 style shorty fists in fighter, that have to be swapped out in order to hold the gun pod. The joints look really good, and it looks like that missile pod will stay up just fine.

    I got mine coming in next week, I think I'll put the 25G toronado parts on it. Until they make a YF specific armor set.

    T-Rex posted on twitter that despite the huge amount of emails asking for a "Mail order" option. These are limited to a one day license pass at WF. That they didn't expect them to ever be released down the road. If you're hardcore, this is what you should try to get. They are resin, so better start saving!

    It's too bad that there isn't a 3P party making Chrome pieces to swap out on YOTH Prime. He looks perfect with Chrome instead of that Gold. Seem's like a missed opportunity instead of more crappy G1 styled full figures that will eventually get their own MP. I liked it better when upgrades were the main draw on 3P. I PO'd the G2 Sideswipe Dr Wu set, that's basically what 3P should be about.

    Yeah, I agree lol, I should have worded it better. My Gold Sideswipe is tighter then the Hasbro MP's just in general.
