My experience with past Bandai shortages lead me to conversation with Scott awhile ago where he somewhat spilled the beans. This was back.. 4 maybe 5 years ago, when he was increasingly frustrated with Bandai shorting orders. If you've ever dealt with manufacturing, there's no middle man. Bandai R&D's their product with the factory. Test shots are made, once final tooling gets approval, they start manufacturing. Now as I imagine there maybe 100's of other items being made in the same factory, If I'm trying to fill a container to be shipped to my Dist warehouse. I'm going to allot several different products in one container. Let's say Bandai's VF-25S order is 2000. Those 2000 maybe split up Around 4 times, shipping finished product as available. It maybe 1-2 months before the next containers leave the factory. That would be considered a restock, even though it's still part of the original order. Bandai opens orders up to retailers with "We have 1500 units available". They sell out, the remaining orders will open up at tooling completion. Remeber they are only selling what they think they will sell domestically in Japan. Unless the retailers have shared they sell a decent amount of units overseas, I doubt they Know there's any demand outside of Japan. Even though they could sell Macross F if they wanted to HG doesn't own that, even though they think they do.

New price is 425$ per Masei's FB page.

Yeah, I think Bandai is on to the fact they can sell more. Alto's has had what, 3 retail releases, and the most recent release saw 2 restocks. I'm not jumping into the panic tank on this one. It may not be as easy as this last Alto release, but I'm sure there will be ample Stock at retail price.

There's no guarantee about HLJ, they open preorders for 90% of what they order because it's usually the percentage they get shorted In the past releases by Bandai. That 10% if aquired hits on release day. Unless Bandai allows reordering, then they will put up more before then like the 25F.
-
Don't forget they are now almost 500$. More then originally proclaimed.

Don't worry, I already asked HLJ why they decided to feed the resellers and scalpers multiple units. Hopefully it's a mistake. The next round will hopefully have a level playing field.

LOL, it's kind of hard to over-saturate a market when you sell out the pre-orders. There were hardly any super part sets at retail. the 12' release were sold out at pre-order, and when arrived with-in 24hrs. Are you slightly trolling or just assuming?

Yeah, better to leave on a high note.

Arcadia 1/60 YF-19 Macross Frontier Super Parts WF Exclusive By T-Rex
skullmilitia replied to EXO's topic in Toys
My only issue with connection points is with their now being three. Yamato, Bandai, and Arcadia. Arcadia's 19' equipment won't tightly attach to VF-1's. Maybe it's just mine, but If I throw on the missiles and stuff, they fall off super easy, of course they also do that on the 19' lol. -
Well that settles it, in 2015 we will get Luca Vf-171EX super parts from 14:23 minutes, and in late 2015 we will get Luca VF-171EX Super parts from 16:45 minute mark. I kid, but you never know, Bandai.

but, but, but 194K is so much money, it proves that 2,000 people are willing to pay that much.... right? They didn't include the 10 people or more who put in like 30% of the over all amount. It did prove that some fundamentalist RT followers are willing to throw money like a 10 stripper on stage in order to get their animation boner going. It also proved that the mass of fan base really didn't get much of anyone new to join up for the cause. A good project will reach way outside of a fan base. A good project also succeeds. Still with all that said, a multi-million dollar company used an independent based funding source to pay for an idea that couldn't even be saved by it's own ideal. That to me is the biggest nail in the coffin.- 2025 replies

Maybe a modified set with just the Ghosts and the payload options. I'm not gonna give it too much thought, Berera's ghosts got more screen time and they are still MIA.

Post pics of your mixed armor set configurations for the VF-25.

Holy crap that last pic is just brutally hardcore! -
Looks like I was wrong about the Ghosts. He does have Ghosts for literally a split second in episode 24. I'm sure we are going to get a Super set for this now, with white ghosts.

MP-3 is superior to MP-11 in pretty much everyway. I've seen nothing but frothing over the new MP SpaceBrick, but has anyone looked at the MP-11 legs? Bricks! Kawamori did it right, sometimes perfect animation robot, is a fool hearted attempt.- 16946 replies

Robotech Academy - You want a new Robotech series...?
skullmilitia replied to Einherjar's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
what study is needed? any moron would realize quickly it's because they made Robotech vehicles, and not mugs and mouse pads. Fans want toys, models, replicas, GAME PIECES, Anything! Anything besides failed animations and crappy comic cross overs. Like I said if Mckeever is in charge of marketing, he's the worst marketing person, ever to graduate from school. Look at the prices for the old Matchbox action figures and toys on eBay. Even if they just re-issued a few key pieces of those products They would be a decent draw. It doesn't take much to bridge the gap between the Robotech Fans and the Macross Fans. Here's a free marketing tip ( even though if you're ever good at something, never do it for free). Dear Mckeever, or guy who doesn't know how to market.. This is a action figure.. It can be both Rick Hunter, and Hikaru Ichijo. You can sell one to a Robotech Fan, and you will sell one to a Macross fan. Both sets of fans, this is called a double dip. The likeness is the same only the name has changed. This is a double saturation. here, I'll do one more... * thanks to Jenius This is known as a "Battle pod" to Robotech fans, and a "Regult" to Macross fans. It's the same damn thing, only the name has changed. Again both groups buy one. On top of that, HG already own's these. If anyone else has a hard time figuring this out, I'll be around.- 2025 replies
