So far I got these pre-orders. If we got 3-4 more kit in pre-order, I will begin to collect the pre-payments of $50 per kit to fund molds material and resin and we will start right now!

I added a few photos to the prototype album. I like the drone in its original color, but I also liked it in grey/prime color... Perhaps a second one in camo painting would be great !

That was a tough decision. The pylons are part of the general design, and you can clear identify the drone fighter by the "Y" shape of the extremity of its wings. But you also see the drone a lot of time without its missiles but with the pylons empty. So I made the choice of including the pylons into the design. At first I was thinking to offer 2 set of wings, one with the pegs to attach HMMs and one without. But after testing the YF-19 HMMs, they fit nicely I think. Anyway, they can be removed from their pylons and I also can make a smaller/invisible attachment later in Shapeways that would attach to the Drone wing and grab the HMMs like the original pylon. If you plan to order Kurisama's HMMs, you can also ask him to make the pylon smaller directly. I am still waiting for confirmations, but so far we got 13x pre-orders in 1/60 scale and 8x in 1/72 scale. I am discussing with Jasonc if we can manage fewer pre-orders if both 1/60 and 1/72 scales are made. It can definitely help the drone fighter project! I am not sure it would speed up the X-9 though! It is your call.

I tried first spray, but I did have some bubbles forming so I stopped and I am now waiting for it to completely dry. I will put a second layer after sanding!

I think I saw Ikaru made by EXO, but I don't know if he makes him on demand. But recently I came across "Priser" figures, they are extremely detailed and you also have a lot of choice of painted ones. Their 1/72 scale is very similar to the 1/60 figures included in the toys and if you are not afraid to put some details up, they could look like Misa/Claudia

You also got the VF-25 gun attachment replacement part! The replacement part can be purchased here: http://shpws.me/DdqO

I have low spare time until end of August, so the X-9 is progressing very slowly.

Thanks! I will update soon and update first post with the list of the confirm pre-orders. We still don't have 20 for a scale, but not that far

Nice diorama Jvmacross, I am still looking for these HobbyMaster kits in Europe, they are rare and hard to find!

This is the training drone from Macross Plus. What you see is the early prototype and this drone is going to be resin casted as a complete assembling kit as soon as we gather 20 pre-orders! More info here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=42404&page=1

Great and thank you charger69! I will make this model available at Shapeways if we don't get enough orders. But WSF plastic requires a lot of time and work to sand/polish. The resin kit, on the other hand, would be almost perfect out of the box and only little painting / sticking would be required for assembly.

I am sorry for you, I don't have this VF-19, but if you can take measurements of the antenna I can make a replacement. In WSF or even steel so that it won't break again!!

To pay the injection molds, we need 20 pre order. As each scale need its own set of molds, this is 20 in each scale unfortunately

Hi guys, thank you for the kind words! Sorry, the pre-order details are there: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=42404&page=4#entry1205067 I will ask charger69 to change the first page accordingly to the pre-order details and status. We need 20 pre-orders to launch the production. So far, we have around 11 pre-orders in 1/60 and 4 in 1/72. Please confirm to me the quantity and the scale you want (and if painting job by Jasonc is wanted)

Really basic hand sanding / can primer with the harsh WSF plastic from Shapeways. This drone is having its 4th primer layer, and looking pretty good so far! I plan to apply 2 coat of Tamyia can paint, then glossy finish TS-13 gloss pray from Tamyia. Any recommendation for the glossy finish ?

I would also be in for the VF-1S Moon Guard repaint /w armor
