I will prepare the car model for you, but I doubt FUD is a viable option because you have to ploy a little the model to insert the front tab. Additionally when I drive mine, the car hurts hard the walls

I am receiving in a few days the last updated parts. Can't wait to review them and they will probably give the "good to go" for this project!

Just realized that the antenna was missing on gerwalk and battroid shots, is it alright Saburo?
-
Saburo, they are amazing shoots! New computer desktop background and phone lock screen!

Have you really found the lancia in 1/60? I was looking for it for a long time before deciding to go the custom way. If you find a link where I can get one I would love it
-
Sure, Yamato compatible because this is what I will use and the bandai stand are so not convinient!

Thanks everyone. Wmkjr, it would be hard to do it without a prototype because of the perspective, but globally that is the size I am aiming. It also should be larger than my fighter drone to be consistent so this is a small window and I can't be awfully wrong!

I am playing with dimensions and I have almost narrowed to seomthing I like. I took as references a Yamato VF-1J (V2) and a 1:72 figure which is the closest I got to the Yamato 21's and 19's pilots. I measured the VF-1J at 24 cm long, the X-9 is currently at 23.3 cm. Do you agree with those figures? front view:

In general when I work with big pieces in WSF plastic from Shapeways, I really don't like to work on them: WSF is such a tough material that the sand paper get used way before the plastic has aquired the desired shape. BUT sometimes when I work with smaller pieces, WSF is so fun to work and scult ! Just a cutter and get the details to popup, get rid of a small chip there and there. Having fun with RC cars and my latest project in WSF, still preparing for painting, these will be slow.

There's an incredible amount of details! Really amazing model, I would have been interested in 1:60 painted model but this is a bit out of my reach

Well deserved price Mintox!

Hey Jasonc, I am glad you found a better way to do it.

Claude grant has confirmed his order for the last available 1:60 scale drone. Sorry guys!
-
I don't know when I will get time to paint all of this, I am planning to order some glowing red paint/pigments for the inside of this head. This is going to be a long wait!

I will adjust the Shapeways model to make a stronger closed position and make it available to order. Should be fast. Additionally, I didn't want to make a new thread for the 2 vehicles in these pictures: Ozma Lee's car and a simple Aircraft tug both made in 1/60 scale, mounted on the universally known remote-controlled "CAN CARs". They need some adjustments and painting that both I can make manually on my examples. I can modify the model on Shapeways and make them available BUT I need orders to do so. If you terribly want one, they cost approx. 24 USD (+ VAT depending of the country) each, just send me a private messsage.

I bet my wife would never agree with you

seems flat according to this picture: http://www.macross2.net/m3/macrossplus/x9-ghost/x9-ghost-2.gif

In the mean time, protoypes have arrived today. Pretty happy with the result. The WSF plastic is so flexible that the head can open in the blossoming position with the current design! Unexpected! Tonight I will be having a closer look at the parts and see if I can upgrade a few things: -I would like to make a new part that would act as a ground stand and would also maintain the head in full open position. -I want to add a stronger locking mechanism so that the head stays in closed position more firmly than actually.

Crossing fingers for the fastest hypothesis!

Great built grayson72! The result is really neat and clean. I hope mine will be as beautiful but with a more aggressive look, still working in it

That's exciting! I can't imagine how great they would be in colored resin, and not speaking of the painted ones!
-
Ordered at NY, actually this S is going to be cheaper than the A due to the exchange rates movements.

I refined the lines and changed slightly the dimensions, also adjusting a few things before 3D printing:
