Great find! Anyway i am almost done with this model
-
Since I saw that Bandai 1:100 Britai I am dreaming of one in 1:60 scale !

That sucks, sorry to see a broken VF-0, but you can grab a spare on Shapeways. Here is the thread: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/?showtopic=36537
You should ask VF5SS if the replacement are ready or not

and independent wheels suspensions (already implemented) !

Thanks Xigfrid. I did angle the tail fins like the lineart first but changed it because in some shots it looked like the fins were attached to the head because of the long back extension of the VF-4 or it looked like it has big ears.
I was uncertain if that was on purpose or not, now I am a Sabulieber!

I have been looking around Ebay/Amazon/Online shops for quiete some time now for a B1 Centauro Tank in 1:60 scale to simulate the "Beatrice" tanks seen in Macross Frontier.
Unfortunately, there are 1:72 only, and considering the difference of size between the Centauro and the Beatrice, the Centauro in 1:72 would never make the illusion for a Beatrice.
Then, I decided to begin with a Centauro 3D model in 1:1 scale made by Empy on the warehouse and from there, adapting the shapes to fit a Beatrice. Well I soon realized that it would be much easier to draw the Beatrice from scratch! Today, I can share this work, still in progress though.
The Beatrice will feature a few artculations/movements like: turrel rotation, canon rise, hatchs opening, 8 spinning wheels and 2 front wheels being directional and rear door openning. The model has been so far realised for 1:60 scale, but should be ok for 1:72 scale also.
A few pictures to compare the "Beatrice" line-art version vs the Centauro. -

That looks really cool, even though its 1/72 scale, the 1/60 VF-0's aren't really that much bigger than the 1/72 Hasegawa kits. I think my VF-0D would look perfect on it this Flight Deck!
Knowing that this deck is for the 1:72 F14, I hacked the F14 vs VF-0 size chart. In fact the VF-0 is in between the F14 in 1:60 and 1:72, so I think that it would be a good fit.

Whats the frameout version? Would love to see. Thank you for your kind words
I will get to them one day, but I'm busy and tired these days!
I have somewhere a folder with a few pictures of the Frameout addons for the VF-1. I can leave you an email with everything zipped, let me know.

Just came across HERPA website and found out interesting new line called "TOP GUN", the line is scheduled for 2016 and will feature many elements in 1/72 scale, including deck Crew, deck vehicules, etc
I found the deck very interesting for the Zero line! But 42 cm x 26 cm would be a bit too big for a Detolf

Wouhou! I am so happy to see these shipping to forum members, it is like seeing a baby making its first steps out of the house!

Please count me 1 in 1/72, with landing gears.
Unfortunately I don't plan to make a kit for in 1:72 scale.
-
This thing looks bigger than 1/750!
-
Too late to get in on the preorder?
Still good, any flavor preference? (Painting&assembling, landing gears)

1D with redesigned canopy

Thanks for the great words. Your computer specs are killing mine by a great amount. I use sketchup only, but I would love to move to more convenient software such as blender.
I am curious to learn more on which software would be recommend to you also

So I've been following this thread for a while and only now thought to ask for confirmation: Is this the same as JasonC's Ghost X-9 project? I had assumed it was, with this thread being on the CAD side and his the production side.
I think you are mixing this thread which is about the ghost X-9 and the other one that is about the training drone in Macross+. These are 2 different projects

Seems a greater design to me when you consider that it is easier to optimized the ground now, without the central tab.
Great job!

Great video! I also love to design for shapeways sls printers, trickier than what was showed in the video if you take into account the sanding and finish to obtain a smooth finish.
I would love to make only that but I also need to think about the recast process and this is another additional step, and for this X-9, I also made it entirely fitting together with only screws, no glue. Not mentioning the with moving parts and other stuffs!
Well! Its design is complete and I am very happy with it! I hope to have good news sooner or later!
Stay tuned and I also take note of interested people !

I remember how this thread began as a gorgeous papercraft build... And now this amazing transforming and detailed sdf-1!
-
Where did you get the Sharon Apple Xigfrid? Is a shapeways special?
It was originally made for the X-9 ghost but I think it also poses very well with the YF-19 and 21, and yes it can be grabbed on Shapeways.

Gorgious fighter mode!
