  1. Thank you all. Jasonc: i don't dislike this idea of using third party joints, I will just have a look and see if I can find some/design of these. Edstuff: you are welcome to continue our conversation if you need anything more specific to help you.
  2. Just received the 1st parts and everything fits well into the Main laser canon. Including the LEDs etc. Pretty happy how it ended. This THING is HUGE, ok ?
  3. They look like to be flushed inside the leg so they become seamless ?
  4. Hi Jasonc, thank you for your insight, a static figure is something I wouldn't like to make. Once this project is over, I am keen to discuss that with anyone wanting to take over. I know the limits of the classic resin. My recaster has some mechanical resin but I am trying to avoid it. I am now focusing on a working plastic prototype, then working the parts that can be puttied to be recasted as is and those which need the plastic strength. What do you mean by "market joints" ? I don't see what it is and how that can help, I am really interested of any picture of these! I have ordered the Laser canon parts and they should be here soon, can't wait to have on hands the first parts of such a big project
  5. Ah I missed that post ! This is definitely the same figure.
  6. Sad to hear that it is an old "news"
  7. Just came to this pictures. Unfortunately I don't know from which convention they come from. It looks like a 3rd party Vajra version, in 1:60 scale. Unfortunately proportions are a bit off, but great price for an articulated toy otherwise!
  8. That sound sick, can't wait to see this
  9. That's this model. Sorry for the bad link. I use steel nails, 1mm diameter the box says and I cut to the specific length.
  10. I would say the laser gun is almost finished and ready to print! It took a total of 11 parts + 2 screws+ compartment to store the batteries and LED + On/Off switch. Not counting the arm (illustrated in white below):
  11. Don't worry, for your next shapeways shopping you can grab these ones: http://shpws.me/MpqA. This version is just perfect, you will love it. It's design was refined from the 5 previous designs.
  12. Yes sir
  13. Nice catch a 11B! i don't know exactly at what point of the progress Jasonc is, probably he is working on large batches, including yours.
  14. Thank you! I was half tightening the arms, that was why the adapter was going loose. I put back the 0D on the stand ... man this bird is so imposing and beautiful!
  15. Hey ChaoticYeti, I am having trouble securing the VF-0 stand adapter. It seems to not hold securely on the "shoulder" portions. Can you post a picture of a VF-0 belly with the adapter mounted ?

    Bandai DX VF-31

I can't remember if Grace ever physically flight the VF-27 as opposed to Brera. As an android Grace has always flown the VF from distance in both TV and movie versions, hasn't she?
  18. "Tamiya Fine Detail Grey Primer spraycan base > Tamiya X-1 gloss black 70/30 thinned > Alclad II Magnesium > Future > Hairspray" Ha thanks! Not as simple as I thought, but the result is very great, it gives a nice touch also with the weathering.
  19. The metallic one?
  20. NZEOD, what color is this primer? It looks very nice! Does it hold enamel afterwards ?
  21. Just checked the Arcadia's and their body is 57mm x 11mm (without the wings). Mine in 1:72 are pretty much the same with these dimensions: 55mm x 10mm. If I compare to Kurisama's 1:60 HMMs (approx 66mm long as 1:60), they are consistent with mine. I made the 1:60 ones also. I will need to test them next order...
  22. They come in 2 flavors: -a 6 Pack for your drone fighter (https://www.shapeways.com/product/AJVGU35ST) -single HMM if you need more of if your need it for another project such as Hasegawa YF-19 (https://www.shapeways.com/product/YAK9KEX6Y) I designed them to be 55mm long, that fit 1:72 scale. I will compare these to the ones that come with Arcadia's YF-19, but to be honest I feel Arcadia's are a bit too small to be 1:60 scale.
  23. I will make a 6-pack asap. I will focus on a WSF print, so price stays low.
  24. Have you cleaned the printed parts first in a 50/50 water/dish soap mix ? It should clean all the residues off. If the parts still won't snap, I guess you can slightly sand them.
  25. Awesome update!
