Hey ChaoticYeti, I am having trouble securing the VF-0 stand adapter. It seems to not hold securely on the "shoulder" portions. Can you post a picture of a VF-0 belly with the adapter mounted ?

Thanks! Will be watching these ASAP the delta serie Ian just not up to Frontier.

Still waiting for a flightsuit Grace to put next to my green VF-27...
I can't remember if Grace ever physically flight the VF-27 as opposed to Brera. As an android Grace has always flown the VF from distance in both TV and movie versions, hasn't she?

"Tamiya Fine Detail Grey Primer spraycan base > Tamiya X-1 gloss black 70/30 thinned > Alclad II Magnesium > Future > Hairspray"
Ha thanks! Not as simple as I thought, but the result is very great, it gives a nice touch also with the weathering.

The metallic one?

NZEOD, what color is this primer? It looks very nice! Does it hold enamel afterwards ?

Just checked the Arcadia's and their body is 57mm x 11mm (without the wings). Mine in 1:72 are pretty much the same with these dimensions: 55mm x 10mm.
If I compare to Kurisama's 1:60 HMMs (approx 66mm long as 1:60), they are consistent with mine.
I made the 1:60 ones also. I will need to test them next order...
-
They come in 2 flavors:
-a 6 Pack for your drone fighter (https://www.shapeways.com/product/AJVGU35ST)
-single HMM if you need more of if your need it for another project such as Hasegawa YF-19 (https://www.shapeways.com/product/YAK9KEX6Y)
I designed them to be 55mm long, that fit 1:72 scale. I will compare these to the ones that come with Arcadia's YF-19, but to be honest I feel Arcadia's are a bit too small to be 1:60 scale.
-
I will make a 6-pack asap. I will focus on a WSF print, so price stays low.

These new hinges don't fold down quite flat like the ones on the toy do. I don't know if that's normal, and the arms dont seem to be drooping down in fighter, but i wonder if it will cause stress on the locking points between the legs and backpack.
Have you cleaned the printed parts first in a 50/50 water/dish soap mix ? It should clean all the residues off. If the parts still won't snap, I guess you can slightly sand them.

Awesome update!

woah ! Saburo strikes again!

It looks really nice NZEOD, I would be very happy with only the larger hex pattern!

Nice to got the best 3D MWF modeler back!

I know holding the gun pod whilst suited up in armors looks a little clumsy just as with the VF-1 GBP but on this photo angle it still looks cool! might have to pose it the very same way when I get mine!
Don't worry too much about the gunpod, either we found a way to pose it well or Shapeways will!

I have been looking for this since 1 year. It was supposed to be released for March 2016 under the German HERPA/TSM brand...
(link)
It looks like another vaporware release!

Ho well to explain the 350 USD limit ... This is now my objective, that means that I will try as hard as possible to reach that goal. If I reach that price then I stop trying reducing the price more. Reducing price is a very complex task and it generally make the prototype even more difficult to model and to assemble.
For the moment I am making all the articulations, There are just too much but to give you an idea, there are as many articulations than in a classic 1/6 human figure, then you add up all the Vajra specifics such as:
-moving head antennas and mandibles
-articulations for the Laser canon to elevate and rotate over the torso
-articulations on the tail so it can wave like a snake but still handling its role during the standing position
-2 additional complete arms including articulations for fingers (the Vajra has a total of 6 legs)
-torso and neck sliding mechanisms to switch between standing position to crawling position
To be honest I don't have a lot of time for the moment, so this project is very slow! And ye sketchup it is.
-
Nice playground and perfect for a photo-shoot
-
Mine still has the flat phosphorescent tail.
To make a classic round tail, it can easy be made with a plastic/silicon tube (whichever is easier to paint) and the existing tail bit, assembling everything with a 0.8mm diameter wire copper.
-
To paint these...! Good job!
-
That's a lot of mechas!
-
Hnnng!
This looks like it'll be awesome. I might actually be tempted by this, depending on how long it takes you...
Speaking of which, did you ever offer the little Vajra for sale? I can't remember ever seeing it here, or on your Shapeways store.
The little vajra has been on sale for a short period of time just before Shapeways modified the minimum size of sprues, since that moment my model is no more printable until I make larger sprues.
I want to make a display/diorama of the heavy vajra with 3 little ones. Thanks to 3D printing I can make 3 small vajra with a slightly different size and proportions so at this moment I will fix and make 3 versions

Very great prices, I am sure they will go fast

Thank you! I was half tightening the arms, that was why the adapter was going loose.
I put back the 0D on the stand ... man this bird is so imposing and beautiful!
