    Bandai DX VF-31

Really much appreciated MJ! Exactly what was needed to finish my model!

    Bandai DX VF-31

I noticed a 3D print service shop nearby my working place and I chatted with the guy there who was kind enough to print a model I made today. I have to say that I made it by feeling, knowing how Bandai usually make its antennas. So I went for a 3mm wide, 1,5m hole and bingo this is just exactly what was needed. The result was good enough to take pictures. I need to slightly angle down the antenna and that will be it! I will try to make it in silver if possible, stay tuned!
  3. WIP picure A lot of issues with attachments considering the VF1 should transform. I also ordered the Visual Books when I found that Kuna models were not really accurate to the VF X++ line art.
  4. This has been used already as Prenium Finish, Arcadia can now introducing "Ultra" Finish, metallic paint with more tampo than Prenium!

    Bandai DX VF-31

It didn't break, I think it just poped off when my daughter played with it i am looking to 3D model an upgrade version of it, but the original looks already highly detailed. Depending on the size I may make an antenna mixing plastic and diecast. Making a full metallic antenna? I don't know or perhaps in polished silver.

I lost the 31j antenna. Since I got only one copy of it, anyone can take a few close pictures and measurements of it for me?
  7. Holy S... ! You are making me dream A question: did you clean the original paint before the tamiya grey primer ? With a solvent like alcohol or light sanding ?
  8. I totally got your design, except that I don't understand why the part would be that long. The more I think about it, the more I am convinced that IKEA probably have some kind of plastic clamp similar to the one I designed, then just adding a hole into the clamp and it would be done. Cheap! my design ended at 14$ the 4 parts, not really cheap
  9. Spanner: yetistand can be the solution, Chaosyeti recently added mounts that can be attached to the glass directly, depending on your shelf, you can put it on the back. No3Ljm: my favorite scene in Zero! Lolicon: get one asap then! They are rarer and rarer nowadays.
  10. Great! Gonna give this kit a try me think
  11. I love the look of your weathering, with a mechanical pencil !? How do you give the "wash / air-brush" effect ?
  12. This one is a garage kit in 1:60 scale. The Bandai's one, with more accurate proportions but in 1:72 - 1:100 scales is still to be seen...
  13. Arcadia has just announced the SV-51 as the new mold, so it is pretty safe to think that the YF-21 will not be on sale before at least 2 years from now.
  14. Nothing to be afraid here, I have started making 3D prints with such facets it only requires a lot of sanding to smooth everything out. One thing though, it is best done with a rotary tool, except if you want big fore arms I usually use these in 60 - 100 grit : http://www.dremeleurope.com/general/en/dremel®ezspeedclicsandingdiscs-495-ocs-p/ Then when they got used, I reserved them as if they are higher grit or as polishers
  15. I admire the patience for masking everything... And the result worths it always!
  16. I can't wait to receive my copies too!
  17. Mission accomplished for Roy!
  18. Exact same place as before, and mine is also a renewal, 2nd batch (1st re-issue)
  19. I am a orry to report that my 25F is also cracked.
  20. Inspired by this
