  1. I am in
  2. Thanks for the link, so another guy also tried the design in 1:72 scale. It doesn't look like a 3D printed though but rather a scratch build.
  3. I finished the speaker pod and placed an order to test it. It would be composed of 2 models: one for the main body in WSF and the other one in FUD for the speakers details. You will need to cut 8 rods (1mm diam) and one screw M1.7x6mm for assembly. Optional to cut 2 plastic sheets to obtain the "window" as seen in the anime. It shouldn't need glue since the FUD parts would clip into the WSF bodies. I will let you know how well fit they are when I receive them.
  4. That's pretty amazing all the stuff going here, most of them are out of my reach and that's great! Happy new year to all too.
  5. The weathering and the mod is beautiful. However I don't like the way how the pod was designed. If I were to make this pod, it should be seamless once retracted, the right hand guns would retract more and would touch each over, even I would make the inner part so it "closes" the design as a tail. The left hand guns looks good, but they could eventually be mounted on an additional axis so they can be deployed downward in fighter mod, like a gun turret, ala sv-262 gunpod. I think @Sanity is Optional Is on this model, let see how far he goes!
  6. Since I also made and painted the new Workroid legs (more curved) and I began to smooth the Cheyenne II, i had both out of the detolf so I decided to shoot side by side just to show off the slight but real differences between both designs. After much thoughts, I decided to redesign the complete shoulder articulations to reduce the number of articulation axis in order to drastically strengthen them. The posability should remain the same, I will probably test it with next order.
  7. What an update! I am happy for you, and I must say that it looks much better in real than in CAD
  8. Working on it: so far so good: the model is almost printable. I am planning to make the external body in WSF and all the internal panels with speakers and intricate detailing in FUD. Still a few details to check though
  9. Hum that brings a question, are you going to recast in blue or white? I can see that both colors could be great.
  10. I already like your "santa" weathering ;))
  11. I am pretty jealous of the colors you choose, they are spotted on. I tried an electric candy blue on mine and comparing to yours, I think it is too dark now.
  12. Never say never with Bandai, there was this Sheryl DX VF-171 one day
  13. I am really looking forward for these KO VF-1s and I would even prefer it un-assembled just to make custom ... Stamped anyone ?
  14. Great ! I picked up the 1:60 version and will go from there for the speaker pod
  15. Didn't expect to have the missile addon
  16. Really nice head, and yes it takes a lot to make a complete conversion kit !
  17. Pretty busy hey! Congrats again for the wedding!
  18. That would be awesome to have all 5 destroids side by side, but that's out of my budget tight now I have completed the Cheyenne II alternative rotary gun, the one "without the hand", since this model doesn't use the lower gun, this is a cheaper option to the standard fully armed Cheyenne II. Also I wasn't 100% happy with the head design, I made a new one more anime accurate, please comment. I have finished 3D modeling the "Cheyenne 1" and the "Work Destroid" (red one) now. I am still working on the Cheyenne II missile launcher and the version2 of the Macross Delta Workroid

That's the first VF-2SS premium finish I see, it looks damn good.
  20. Thank you, and yes @Knight26 the legs can accommodate a small piece of rubber that I cut from an old earbuds to tighten smoothly the hip articulations. I am looking to do something similar for the shoulder articulations, I will test a rubber spray first to see how well it grips on the Shapeways plastic.
  21. I am very happy tonight because I could assemble the Cheyenne II. All the parts were good and because it is very similar to the Workroid, the assembly was pretty straight forward. Having it in hands makes all the difference, you can feel that the Cheyenne II is massive compared to a variable fighter / battroid. Stop talking and enjoy the built!
  22. Thanks for the gorgeous photos @no3Ljm For those who also want the VF-19 Boosters clips, they are available here.
  23. That's looking nicer everyday
  24. The supers are about 600-700gr probably, that can give you an idea of the shipping rate. My shipment had a few other things: diecast trucks and so, it weight 4Kg and TapbaoFocus' cost was 450 CNY via EMS.
  25. I would be totally okay with the deculture issue, but it needs the assorted super pack. The SV-262 doesn't look streamlined without its pack
