Hmmm... In that case I need to learn.
You should at least try, yes

I am looking forward for your models

Did you sand it down first with high grit paprr and then with toothpaste or other gritty compound?
I could toothpaste it inside, but the issue was to sand the inside flat first with larger grit. I can’t insert any of my tools and I am afraid to sand it directly with sand paper.
@wmkjr this canopy has been 3D printed with clear resin, just like Tage’s canopy, I haven’t thouroughly tested the resistance but it looks stretchier and stronger than FUD

This can happen, remember that the DX YF-19 has been advertised with this booster.

Hey arbit, I didn’t know this technique. I would love to see it in action if you have a link to a video or a tutorial.
On an another hand I have made some research and found that those nylon print material can be effectively smoothed with Toluene, hand brushed or vapor. Now I need a friend working in chemical to source some for me...
back to these canopies... I have sanded a similar canopy and since the outside is generally not an issue, I have had hard time to find a good tool to sand the inside side. Then just spraying TS-13 clear over it.
I am not entirely satisfied with my latest test but the result were nice

Yep sketchup, it is so user-friendly that you can probably export your first 3D model to print in less than 1 day of software learning time.
Don’t hesitate to ask any question if needed.

I have been staring at this picture for 10min, so many memories that come back. Thanks for this moment @Saburo

All three are out of their boxes, have been inspected and put on display for now. As far as I can tell they are all perfect with no visible or obvious defects. Thoroughly impressed with them! Loving the clear canopy! Would love to switch their modes for display but it's getting late and I need sleep. Here's a photo to enjoy!
Lucky you just be careful with these stands ;p

Gorgeous pictures @Saburo as always, this new contender had a hard fight against the previous « Lock screen » champion. New phone background saved!

Anyways, so that means the front window part of the canopy is glued tight? Don't want to ruin that, right? Oh well, I'm not gonna complain nor appreciate the canopy until my 31A is at hand.

Last week, I was totally fed up with my 31J metal coated canopy and decided to clean it. It was rather easy to lift but very hard to remove it out of the valk. I probably forced too much on the transparent plastic and when I was wiping it clean with alcohol the tabs did crumble around the pin.
Since then I have painted the frame in grey and try to repair the tabs with CA glue. Unfortunately it didn't work. But I am working on a fix from shapeways that hopefully will work.

@MechTech I had the same concern for my kid when searching for a suitable wire to make an antenna, I finally went for a 1mm aluminum "weaved" cable, they are strong enough to keep the desired shape but they will ploy with any slight pressure. The total diameter cable can be as small as 0.3, and from a reasonable distance they look just like a plain wire.
just a picture how they look like, but probably steel would be still a bit too tough for your need, I recommend Aluminum ones.

That reminds me my wife saving an old magnum of wine Saint Emilion 1978, she never wanted to open it but last week the bottle broke and we had to drink it. Fate or not, but I think I enjoyed more the present pleasure of drinking it when it still was good than just keeping the joy for later. She was a little upset, I guess she is more like a MISB collector, and I prefer to play and sometimes broke my precious toys now.

This twitter has serious Macross porn pictures!

I don't know if this price is for a BNIB but I would let go my VF-11C for half of that

After seeing how simple and affective the locking mechanism was on the KC SD VF1 toys,I agree.
I just looked at your review video and I could only guess that the attachment is more like Bandai DX. Which is a much more robust design over the Yamato/Arcadia design only because it can't rotate to accommodate different wing sweeps.
On a side not I had one peg on my 30th anniv Roy hard point that broke this weekend. I had to glue and reinforce it with a mixture of Cyanolite glue+ babypowder

I think that they can become a serious third Macross toy manufacturer. They use plastic injection as their first iteration where the others were only trying resin kits.
I will support them as much as I do with Arcadia because Bandai makes great toys but they are killing the competition (YF-19, VF-1 next and probably YF-21?) and the PO madness is just insane...
