@Jasonc @valhary and for who ever else may need them, I have made a pdf for the "tatoos". I made a Letter size (USA) and A4 size (EUROPE) versions. I also added the vertical stabilizers logos and because I have slightly oversized the 1:60 fins logos, I made a set in the 1:72 scale too on the same sheet. You can download the pdf here.

I had a hard time to insert the pins, I ended using 0.9mm pins for the 2 last articulations. Other than that, you can sand a bit around the articulations to make them close better. If you have any issue just let me know.

I like the mtr theme choice too

I have done that before, and it works great, specially in two cases: 1- when the part is half hidden and doesn’t need a lot smoothing. 2- when the paint is kind of pearlescent and it covers thicker and smoother than the primer so it reduces the preparation time. Only downside is that the color ruins the sanding tools that you cannot use later on different colors

vf-31 siegfried WIP: Alternate Weapons Pods for VF-31
Xigfrid replied to Sanity is Optional's topic in The Workshop!
Haha, if you look closer, this is the same bracket found on the Vf-31 that uses to hold the different pods... And strangely, that reminds me how they constructed the Vajra Queen from the smaller Vajras in the Macross Frontier movie by assembling the legs as hands, canon as antennas, tails as hips. That looks like cheap model recycling/product placement -
vf-31 siegfried WIP: Alternate Weapons Pods for VF-31

Until the very end of the Delta Movie, I didn’t expect to see a speaker pod, but what a treat to see not one, but two speaker pods in the last scene. -
I remember doing something similar to the smaller rear fin of the left leg. It would just pop off when transforming back from battroid mode and rotating it to its original location in fighter mode. I have shave a bit of plastic in the designated location and also I accentuated the 1mm hole with a drill bit. My right leg is almost ok, so it is untouched

I am still undecided if I will sell my copy or not but it will get in its storage carton for sure

The Bandai DX Isamu fits the bike and he invited lucy’s friends. In the background, the Arcadia Isamu and Sharon of course!
-
Ha so classy :) I have to check if the DX Isamu can fit the bike, because when I quickly checked, he had the legs joined together and I am not sure if they would prevent to sit flush or not.

Enough 31 already, let’s invest in the new DX Macross Plus toyssss!

I don't know if I like the "real" Hikaru pilot teenage size upgrade though
-
I like this design a lot!
-
And they would probably fit the Arcadia missiles too, they look very very similar to me, minor the pylon attachments.

I think the Kai will be harder to get later compared to the YF-19, not counting on the fact that the YF-19 has an higher chance to be re-edited compared to the limited edition. But as said, the 19 has a much better playability/posability and more missiles to share with other 31s

Yep I saw this price on Show Z, which is a reputable shop. But a few days ago, I also saw it pop on Taobao with a notable photo where the front landing gear rotated on the left. I don’t know if this is a KO specific upgrade or if Arcadia was working on this upgrade too. I can’t find it right now, but I will look again for it.
-
I just saw that the KO replica from Valkyrie Factory of Roy VF-1s was available. I got plenty of this version so I won’t be tempted but curious to know if it worths the price asked (129$ shipped). I can probably take a naked 1S or a white 1J for custom though!

I did apply to beta test the J750, I don’t know yet if I would be pick or not. The J750 is supposed to take voxel files as input and I don’t think sketchup does this kind of files. But if the J750 accepts the surface-colored files such as the DAE, then I could use it in color. J750 price will be stratospheric I guess. I am kind of disappointed by shapeways pricing strategy for their WSF and HP prints and it seems the new CEO is only rising them. There is a discussion in their forum about the new prices and it seems that their will be an option for “slow manufacturing” that would lower the new prices at the current price +\- 5% In Europe, I have found a manufacturer that can print the HP material at the current shapeways WSF price, I am pretty happy by it but they don’t have any marketplace. So this is not a solution for me until I can make a website or find another manufacturer with a marketplace ...

I made just now a detailed head assembly manual, I hope every pins will be explained correctly now! Let me know if you have any question of course.

On the same subject, I am trying to figure out how to disassemble the legs, feet, or ankles. At first I tried to move the ankle pin but it won’t move... then I tried to open the leg, found two screws but the rest seems glued together... damn
-
No disassembly required, just pull out the antenna straight vertically, it is retained by two bumps.
