They are available now if you want one you must contact me directly (pm or email). @Spitfire_BR if you want one in 1:72, you will probably need smaller screws, M1.4x5mm, instead of M1.7x6mm, and all the pins will be 0,8 diameter instead of 1mm diameter. If you can find such material in your hobby shop let me know, otherwise I can look here. BTW, the model requires a verification and small reinforcements in a few places before printing it in 1:72 scale.

To gently remove paint, I generally use in this order 1) wipe spirit, 2) house cleaning alcohol (very diluted alcohol), 3) my deodorant BRUT classic (haha!) if the domestic alcohol is not enough "hot". All 3 are pretty safe for all kind of plastics. > Acetone will melt most plastics, and will probably "fog" the clear plastic, so keep away from acetone, and only in last resort for other plastics

You can remove easily the front gear bays on the 25 series, using screws, no glue. I don’t know for the rear gears though
-
I think I have used wiping alcohol to completely remove the painting on the canopy, then I had to paint the frame back in dark grey on my Vf-31J
-
Ho nice!
-
That's indeed a great looking 31JA now. First thing for me would be to make the canopy clear !
-
That was a fast painting, and it looks really nice ! Would you mind take a new picture a bit more far away? I don't know for the arm. To be honest I like to have different poses between the male and female pilots. When I tested my male pilot, the hand forward didn't obstruct with the screen panel.
-
that's a lot of VF-9 love !
-
Thanks, and I hope you will like them
-
Hi Duymon, thanks again for the support ! I tried to cut the pilots for the VF31 and that’s a really cramped sit in there... even smaller than the VF25
-
I won't make a smaller pilot for the 31, but I can try to cut the feet and see if they fit in. But I do think the arms will also obstruct.

Woah @Rogueload, nice display! Are you using two levels in a detolf to acheive this ? -
I made a set of 4 different pilots: male / female / TV / DYRL. I hope you will like them. Note that I tried to fix the model again by removing some material on the butts, but you may have to sand a bit more to perfectly fit the Bandai DX VF-1J.

That’s too bad, I was really wanting to get my copies.

I could test the pilots this night and the VF-31 1:60 scale are a no-go. The pilot is almost straight leg and scale as a 1:84 figure... For the VF-1J, there is more room for a 1:48 pilot but somehow, the chair is too high, so I had to sand 2mm of the pilots’ buts so they can fit inside comfortably and have clearance on the top of their helmet.

I had so far no luck finding a good welding glue and living in France doesn't help sourcing the good US/Jap stuff. But I recently came to this thread which contains great tips. In particular the one using super glue to attach the parts together, then use MEK/Acetone to weld the parts together and keeping them together during the 24h curing.

I would grab one for sure !

Really great work, I have to say that I am also curious about the engraving techniques. Btw, I think the main differences with the A are: -of course the head design and delta wings -larger canards -larger carbon crystals on the sides of the head -minor changes of the crystals geometry on the nose
-
You are right, the elevator has 2 grey VF-0A just before, so it doesn't make sense that a VF-0B is swapped magically, but it really looks like red stripes on the vertical fins and on the tails on the "legs", considering the low saturation of these episodes I was immediately convinced. BTW back to my Zero videos !
-
I will receive them next week, I will let you know
-
I was rewatching Macross Zero and finally have proof that the VF-0B SPW is official ! It appears briefly in in the background of episode 3, time stamp 15:34”
-
That’s looking good indeed, I am in for one or two sets, I will probably put them at the bottom of the detolf!
-
Hi have a question, does one kit comes with : -18 side tiles -9 bottom tiles -9 top translucent tules -3 mid-height tile? -all the LEGO style connectors
-
Concerning the pilots, there are male above and femal below... I know this is not that obvious As print material, I prefer to use resin UV cured printer to obtain fully detailed surfaces and smooth finish. But I have also used basic SLS plastic or HP plastic and both were giving good results once painted. I don't know Tamiya plastic sheet, but for the size of a 1:48 pilot hand and fingers they are all fragile and you better avoid these to fall on the floor. No, I am not doing DX VF-31A wings soon, why should it be needed ?

Oh my... messing characters, sure I am tired lately
