what about like the old Yammy stands ? You can have much more flexibility, and still no need for a screw, only a clipsing cap to prevent the mechanism to slide out
-
The VF-19 mold is gorgeous ... but this Basara paint scheme is terrible !! I can't help remembering the VF-19 prototype unpainted sexiness
-
There is a lot of 19 love in this vitrine ! nice collection
-
Just let me know when you take order for these ! And keep us updated about the VF-1s adapters !! I got plenty of these ones without stand. PS: I am also looking the Stands for 1/60 VF thread
-
I am in for a few also, BUT is it possible to add a last rotate axis so that we can display the fighter like if it is turning ? like this:
-
I don't really like the paint scheme, there is supposedly a grey band in front of the red one. This one is painted black instead. But I love the numerous "No Step" warnings if they come pre-applied just like the previous Bandai releases. I'am not sure which line is more accurate to the line art. See picture attached. I would say there is two way to describe the fuselage: Straight/Straight/Round or Straight/Round. I was fan of the Straight / Straight / Round design and it appears that the prototype is more like Straight/Round

Would love the 0S, 0A and also 0B! There are so much additions, I can't decide what I prefer most between: reactive armor, super parts or ghost!
-
This prototype looks amazingly accurate! Probably because the anime was rendered in 3D. But this is nice!

The only thing I can think missing on the renewal 27 compared to the 25 v2 is the crotch for the gun attachment. Do you see anything else?
-
The 27 with super parts was a small update of the initial mold with all the improvements from the 25 renewal (v2). But the first 27 was already a great toy. The incoming 25F should be exactly the same mold as the renewal V2. Thus increasing the model availability and decreasing the price tag! I don't know what could be really an interesting improvement to have make a V3 but I wouldn't mind buy re-renewal with a better ankle mechanism, better landing gears and sleeker super parts!

I don't have much experience with materials. Xrentonx, if you take the black strong and flexible, you will only need a cutter to separate the pieces from the grap. You can't polish black colored because they are white underneath the black layer. The white strong and flexible, is the best material for someone who have skills in painting, you can sand and polish it. Frost and Ultra frost details may be considered also to obtain the greatest details, but I don't know if it is too much britle or not. Order the hands in black for the least effort. In red, then you can add some panel lining, or white to customize it at will. Frost detail if you know this material

1/48 is very easy to do from 1/60, but the hand attachment should be adjusted. If you know what you need, it can be done

Thanks! Unfortunately, I am no expert in painting. Actually I got nothing regarding painting, only a flat coat and a few panel lining pencils. I will try later to darken the red hands, I've also printed the hands in black so I got a more discreet pair of hands if necessary.

Hi guys! I made custom hands for our VF-4G !! They are articulated and can grab guns and fold into the dedicated compartment in fighter mode )) Just received my shapeways order to validate the dims. They don't have a professional finish feeling, but I love them in red! They are available here: https://www.shapeways.com/model/1708161/detailled-hands-left-and-right-for-vf-4-macross.html

The trick is to straighten the chest part with the shoulder portion, doing so, it gives enough room for the nose to come out of the chest part

The second revision comes with the YF-21 in foreground and clouds in background. As pictured here: http://www.mech9.com/blog/2011/11/160-perfect-transformation-yf-21-by-yamato-toys/3/

Until confirmation, perhaps 3rd of March according to Neoexcaliber (http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=40713&page=3#entry1103998) I would be glad it opens sooner!

Sold! The armored Tornado parts on the legs are much more sleek and harmoniously integrated than what Bandai did for the Super parts! (I speak fighter mode wise) Seeing this, I wish Bandai makes a revised Super parts pack soon !! I am day-dreaming but why not a Super pack V2 together with a new VF-25S ! Stop milking these 25 molds damn you Bandai, give us a brand new YF-30 at once!

Still available at NY. I will gamble on buying one at release.

I also prefer the 29's paint scheme for Ozma custom, but the head antennas are a bit too thick. Nothing that shapeways pro could fix. I like the 29 finition but I don't like the laziness of Bandai not wanting to remold the legs of the 29 and that makes the fighter mode sloppier than the VF-25. For the same reason I think that the super parts should be redone, on the 25's super parts, the legs should be extruding upwards much more, and the 29's wings extension should be slimmer too.
