I kept hearing people saying how ps3 is so expensive as 500 bucks, and getting xbox360. As I look at it, for xbox360 to be comparable with ps3, it needs the $450 elite system + $180 HD-DVD addon + $100 wifi adapter + $30 card reader. How is it a better deal? I just installed a 250g hard drive in my ps3, and it only took $120 and 5 minutes, not going to happen with MS. I got my xbox360 with Halo3, it has hdmi but I couldn't get any sound and I prefer digital audio anyway. And MS purposely make it you cannot use hdmi and digital audio output together unless you also get the $50 hdmi cable from them.. which is not expensive for hdmi cable with digital audio interface but it still suck. anyone else has the fragFX control from http://www.splitfish.com/ ? I kinda like it but take a little getting use to, or might be is my year old ps3. p.s. my ver.6 ps2 is still kicking.

have you try resetting your bios? how about delete the device from device manager, and then reboot? -
Hey it was my 100th mg guess.

You are wrong!!! It will cost more than twice as much.... personally I don't care for another 78-2, how many different kit out already?

but since skyline had become our g35 -- 2+2 z and rear wheel drive atlima, they've got to come up with something else. I figure the gt-r will probably go for the price of a vette, and way higher insurance..and more tickets. I don't really care for this car. besides, I drive mostly around 3k rpm, 400 plus phonies at red line will probably never get used, 300 is plenty for me.

just what I was thinking.

I had a 4wd eclipse and a z32 when I was in college, they were both 5 speed and were really fun to drive. But then my school isn't in any big city. These days I drive auto in town and manual mode if traffic is not stop and go, the manual 1st gear for my car is a bit tricky so I went for an auto tran because of the commuting. It doesn't feel the same in manual mode, but I can almost drive it as quick as a manual. I just wish I had petal shift and a 6th.... maybe 20 more phonies.

Thishas nothing to do with 80g ps3, but in case anybody cares.

Here is my 2 cents: Civic will likely be the most dependable, and highest resale value, but it is also the most expensive. go for it if you want to mod it . Fit is not meant for American highway, but it sure is cute. Versa and XD are cool by I like XC better for around 17k. XB I just don't feel it. Mitsubishi are good car, however resale value is low and good luck selling you used Lancer, EVO and WRX are different, but for their prices I would go for a small BMW. My choice on your list would be either the Mazda 3 or the VW Rabbit. I've never driven a Mazda 3 before, so I can only say it really is a good value, and it looks pretty good too. VW you'll get German design and prepaid maintenance -- I think? drive the Mazda and the VW a see which one you like better. .. google too.

I thought it isn't region free, just has the same region as Japan. Someone said that in this topic long time ago? Try Asia version Gundam warrior and works fine, don't have any foreign BD to try.

Then why buy the 80G, just get the 40G/60G put $120 or so for a 160G drive. Do their marketing people think consumers are that dump?

sorry didn't see your message How did you do it?

FAT16, FAT32, NTFS(NT file system as Windows NT) are all MS design file system, files cannot be copied between UNIX and Windows system and expected to be ok. Executables, binaries, ACSII text, and java classes can be transfer between UNIX and Windows also zip, tar, war, ear and such(no dll), but a FTP client is needed. Http protocol handles transfer automatically, and that's why you can save from web browsers. I have read somewhere a usb drive can be formatted to store data from ps3, I don't see any reason why you can't fromat an external hard drive with the format utility on you PS3 to back up your data, there is a usb hard drive for PS3 for sales in store after all. In short, storing data from PS3 and PC on the same partition -- No. Having pc reading ps3 format disk drive or the other way around -- No. But you can create multiple partitions on the same device and assign different partition to different os. even yellowdog has to be install in it own partition and can't read the PS3 game data, I think - not sure, will google more ?? I wonder if we can map the ps3 as a network device and access it with some sorta telnet type client??
-
You would have got them both anyway.

yellowdog linux is full function linux, but then linux is not unix. all you need is a usb keyboard and mouse, download yellowdog, and might be a bigger hard drive. ps3 will take care of the parition on the new drive, but you are going to lose you r saved games. I don't know if you can move the saves to a usb drive. There a plenty of media player that can handle HD and BD, the hard part is to find the hardwares that already has working linux drivers. without the correct driver, the HD drive will likely be no more than a std DVD drive. good news is someone will write such a driver sooner of later and post it somewhere or even include in future linux distro. the hardware makers do like to sell more of their products. go to yellowdog's web site the find out what's new.
-
my guess - PS3's os likely don't have a driver for hd-dvd built in, might be better find out if anyone has written driver and software before getting the HD drive, usb external harddisk work so I don't see any reason why a HD drive wouldn't. But I think yellowdog linux is probably needed, check out yellowdog's web site and google a bit and you should find what you want. in addition, yellowdog is built for PS3, and its free, putting other version of linux on the PS3 might not be a very good idea.?? Sorry, didn't see the xbox reference. the drive from ms, I would say you could but probably a lot of trouble, since you can't download the driver from PS3. I think there are HD drives for pc on the market already.
-
PS3 on PS2 are Linux base systems, someone had made virus for Unix before, so it is possible to have virus but it not as easy as pc virus. check out yellowdog linux to get linux for the PS3. I think xbox 360 is supposed to be running some Unix base os but I'm not sure.

Just what I wanted to ask. Mine has the cable with optical audio output at the base of the connector console side, but it overhang the hdmi port so no room for both cable useless someone comes up with a after marker cable, but I don't think that would be cheap. I tried the hdmi into my receiever but no sound. So I'm doing compontent into the tv and optical into the receiever. Does anyone know have the same problem? -
but for $20 ?
