The nosecone was black: http://www.tfu.info/1984/Decepticon/Skywarp/vehiclemode.jpg It is purple on most of the later versions like Armada, Robot Masters, Classica, and what not. His original missile launchers had purple triggers and a locking ring, the laser barrels and missile warheads were black. In jet mode the only purple on the original (excluding the underside) was the vertical stabilizers and the thrusters. Compared to Starsceam's "God Bless America" and TC's electric blue paint job. Skywarp has a fairly subdued color scheme in G1. Especially compared to most of the toyline from the beginning till now. Now for what it's worth I (Tom Cruise jumping on the couch) love the Classics version of Skywarp. It has the fairly elegant "airshow" paint job and the "Verts" are only purple along the leading edge. The purple thrusters are garish (and we both know there is no way in hell those would be painted like that on a real jet) but in robot mode it compliments the "boots" look when the feet are folded down, just ike the original. I'm not saying it is perfect by any means but by hell it looks better than that utterly shitty color botch MP:03 has for it's main color. -

Did Skywarp teleport some sand in your Vagina again? Cause lord knows we never buy transforming jets molded 90% out of the same color... Cough-Damned near every Valk ever made-Cough The only color differences thus far between G1 and MP version is black feet and V-Stabs. Skywarp is pretty drab fellow as far as 80's toys go: http://www.ntfa.net/ntfa/techspecs/index.p...mp;char=Skywarp The "wing lines" will be on the 'New" sticker sheet that comes with it (like the original) and should liven/doll him up if you so wish. BTW: The "Big Book of British Smiles!" crack was damned funny. -

If there isn't a resistor in the circuit and/or the batteries fluctuate(+) it can rapidly burn out a LED. (+)Which they do over their lifetime , quite a bit in fact if they are cheaply made batteries.) -

It's pressure switch so you don't run the risk of burning the LED out, just like MP:Convoy/Primes matrix chamber. -
The Raptor and the JSF have internal ordinance bays and yes they help with stealth characteristics.

No, sorry folks after reading the various Yf-19 1/60 tantrum threads lately I have concluded some here like to batty more than my mother in-law. I can see being pissed if you have bought something and after the fact you find out it's screwed, but these are prototypes for chist's sake. An yes from wht I can tell after some zoom work the TLEAD's back missiles are on a double hinge they just weren't pushed down enough.

Yeah that's why they are putting orange caps on some at the manufacturer to comply to American safety laws for sale in none other than America. -
Count me in for 2.

Transformers Super Thread 4: The Return
Chindenathus replied to Dangard Ace's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Two things: Mp Megs has thin legs from the front and rear angles due to his staying relatively tru to the original transformation scheme. If the made his legs thicker, everyone would batty about how wide the handle was in gun-mode. Polio causes muscular atrophy due to neural paralysis. I know, my father survived it. I would be appreciative if it were not brought up again. Vote with your wallet folks, if you don't like it don't buy it. -

After all, MP1 Convoy was packaged in robot mode in the box as I recall. -
True but the dome looks pretty much on target. The right gunpod can be made 90% accurate with a pair of wire clippers and a paint marker.

Just got back from Botcon this evening. The word from Hasbro is that yes in fact they are to release MP: Starscream in his cartoon/airshow color scheme. They did not say when though. -

It amazes me how much everyone is turning a blinf eye to how much "His High Froatiness" has utterly screwed up what was going to be an awesome toy. Now it is seriously less appealing to the market on either side of the pacific from some of the comments I have read elsewhere. Yet everyone lately just lets it "froat" on by because it Kawamori. -

Same here. Here are some CGI images from the 10 Fingers site that show the differences between WWI and DonF's "modern version": G1: -

I prefer the previous designs lower legs, and I hope the extra forearm plates can be popped off or rotated to the underside of the forearm. The "battle tuxedo tails" along witthe new feet really do strike me as "His Froatiness" monkeying with the design just like he did with Hybrid Convoy, only not as cool looking. That happens "later in private". My thoughts on Eugimon's trolling of this thread is pretty simple: "Quit feeding the Troll!" -
It was proven here some time back that those parts are in fact the lameness emitters, at least when equipped on the fire valk Seriously, nice news though. 410462[/snapback] No, no. Since the Kai is lacking these, it makes them "Lameness Suppressors" This is part of the "active stealth" suite that was removed due to bugetary concerns after the the developement costs skyrocketed due the Sharon Apple Concert/Ghost incident.

The Megazone 23 Garland By Yamato Thread
Chindenathus replied to Renato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I imagine the swing arms were designed with tollerances for steel not aluminum zinc alloy. From the descriptions it would have been better to make the swing arms out of plastic. I have already canceled my Pre-order at BBTS till further notice. I refuse to be gypped out of a hundred bucks no matter how much I have anticipated this toy.- 1056 replies
