    I think you need to find a very 'hot' glue, for ABS - glossy, toy-type plastic. It reacts to the plastic in much the same manner as what you see in model kit styrene, but is made to work with the glossy toy ABS. (In fact, some of the ABS glues will melt model kit styrene pretty badly if used improperly.) Regular model glue or super glue won't do the on an assembly point under this much stress. You might try "Ambroid Pro-Weld", which is thin like water or alcohol, and takes a while to set, but sets very strong. Put the parts together, clamp them, and use a very fine brush or hypodermic needle to lay the glue into the seam and allow capillary action to pull it into the places where the plastic joins. You need to be certain that the parts meet perfectly, however. It won't fill large open cavities. It's also very bad to breath the fumes. Essentially, it's the industrial glue these toys are assembled with. Alternately, JB Weld makes some very strong glues. You might try one of those. Of course, be careful the glue doesn't encounter any moving or mechanical assemblies.

    That looks really nice. I recall a friend having a terrible time back in 1995 getting the two hull segments to fit together properly. (I've got my own a few decades late, waiting in my build pile.) Tip for model dusting: Drop by the dollar store and grab a couple of makeup brushes for powdered makeup in different sizes from the HBA isle. They're soft but have a lot of very flexible bristles and make excellent dusting tools, getting into tight areas without tearing away paint or small parts. A little work will get all the dust out of those areas. :-)

    Aqueous Macross Color Set 3 Destroid Defender. The three little jars seem like they would barely have enough paint for the job. Oddly enough, each jar has no label or unique marking. You get a sheet of them to apply yourself - 1, 2 & 3. Hopefully you're not color-blind! My sample's base medium had migrated out of the lid of each jar, collecting like dried amber inside the box. One jar is actually tightly glued into the box.

    Something of a 'holy grail' piece for me, as I work to build the vintage pieces I couldn't get in the past. Worn box and a bit aged, missing the missiles. But unused decals perfect for scanning and hopefully reproducing, clean body in excellent shape, and all paperwork. Just a little work needed. Purchased from a Facebook friend who kindly thought of me first.
