Unless someone else come up with an official pic or source, the only person that can quell our fears on the vertical stabs is Graham..... -
Yamato 1/60 VF-11b under development

Regardless if the pic is squished or not, those vertical stabs are still too damn small. Please don't let that pic be anything official!!! -
Exsedol for pres 2008! /hides

Its ok Radar, I got the pun. Anyways, I went into ToyTown in Eastwood City lastnight with the intent of purchasing the VF-11 GN-U, but they wanted 1999P for it, which is about $44. So obviously I passed, since 44 is way overpriced for 1 GN-U. I do really want an 11 for sure though, as well as the new one thats coming out soon. Beautiful!

Heh, I have my Hikky in a "Alto" mode from when Alto jumped into the 25 while it was in gerwalk. So the tail section is deployed and the gun aimed. Maybe I'll take pics later. I dig it though.

And I agree. The canopy itself is perfect on the 1/60. While the rest of the nose section is perfect on the 1/48. Personally, I feel the rest of the "body" of the 1/60 feels and reminds me a lot of a Hasegawa. The arms fit perfect, and dont hang down like the 1/48. But I still love them regardless. Either purchase you can't go wrong, IMO. And I will continue to purchase the 1/60's. I was thinking about maybe finding 2 more of the 1A's to simply repaint into a Max and Kakizaki, but right now I don't feel like spending another 300 to obtain them. I'm kind of more in a model building mood. Or maybe picking up a 0S/0A and doing a "Fighters of Roy" tribute. We'll see.

While I love both the 1/60 v.2 and the 1/48, I have to agree with a conversation that I had with ChowYunSkinny that the Fighter mode looks a little better on the 1/48. Particularly the whole nose section. I like the form on the 1/48 way better, and feel that the 1/60's is a little on the stubby side. But damn if they both aren't near perfect. If some of the fixes of the 1/60 could be applied to the 1/48, I think you'd have a damn good looking large scale fighter. Same if they were to go back and reshape the whole front nose section on the 1/60.

Lets also not forget that Kawamori is still determining the true size of the VF-11.

Thats kinda what I had originally hoped for when she decided to start the flight school. And I figured from that footage the purple valk would be her's. Too bad it wasnt meant to be. I kinda figured it was the same shot as Ozma with the packs on, but just wanted to be sure. Thanks for the info guys. Appreciate it. -

Forgive me if this has been covered, but what the heck ever happened to that White with Purple striped VF-25 seen in the opening episode? Pics can be found here Valk . If you scroll to the bottom, its used in the animated GIF to show the transformation. -
I miss the old Skull Squad colored T's that someone did on here a while back. All it was was your choice of T color (black, blue, red, green, and maybe yellow (not sure), with a giant Skull squad logo on the front. Hell you can see me wearing mine if you look at the DVD extra's for NHL Hitz for Xbox.

Wait what? Nobody wants to start the WWGD? (What Would Global Do?) thread or fanclub? Make stickers, tshirts, websites. It could be a "Global" phenomenon!!! -
Is anyone really reading this thread at all. ITS NOT AN EXCLUSIVE BEING OFFERED BY YAMATO! Don't get all worked up. Its something they were "thinking" about. Not actually offering it. Sheesh.
-
Ya know....I'm sure its been said before, but with the fact that the heads are removeable, they really should have packed 1S heads with the 1A's, and opted out tampo printing the numbers on. Just for the sake of customization. And the fact that people would probably buy TWICE as many 1A's all at one time. Think about it Yamato.
-
I'm not really into this whole weathering exclusive business they are doing, but damn if that 1J doesn't look good. That shop really did an outstanding job on it. Kudo's to them. And thankfully its not an exclusive or even being offered.....yet.

While playing with my new VF's I often thought of how close it is to a Hasegawa kit. Its that good. Anywho, here's a group shot.

I just got back from Greenhills here in Manila, and I picked up both a Super Hikky 1A, as well as a Super Roy 1S v.2. For those worrying, they both come with strike cannon and missle pod for the backpacks. Even the Hikky had the Strike attached in box, so you'll have to convert to the missle pack. I have both out of box, and I totally love these. Perfect size, and its like Graham was always stating....rock solid. I just cant get enough of them. I'll slap on my 50mm lens here in a sec and take some pics. But man, I cant stop staring at them or handling them!!! And for those wondering about the price, I picked them up for about 140-150 each. But there was only the one store there that I saw both Supers in one place.

Is there a screencap of Max flying a strike 1S from DYRL? I only remember it without FP.
-
Maybe we wont have to. Maybe.....just maybe....it'll be a new gimmick!!

This is the latest from AICN. Well latest as in a couple days ago anyways..... "Hey Harry- Jim Hill’s piece on Tr2n sounds very dramatic but actually we are trying to put all the drama into the script. I can assure you I am very much involved with Tr2n. It’s a collaborative effort just like the first film was. We have a very talented and dedicated young group and I am doing my best to inspire them as much as they are inspiring me. The trailer, as amazing as it is, is only the beginning. All the best, Steven Lisberger" So Lisberger being out? Don't think so. Or, doesnt seem like it to me anyway.
