  1. David, I read in another forum that they are fixing the tails. Another person on the same forums thats about as nitpicky as you (not that that's a bad thing) was mentioning that the overall scheme and look is correct for a late 80's F-14A. Also mentioned that they were using the incorrect gun vents. The one thing I noticed was the black paint around the cockpit and nose wasn't lined up very well. Other than that, it's beautiful. Can't wait to lose 250 bucks on this.
  2. If you dont want to waste your time by having to register at Toyark just to look at widely available pictures...... Then you can go HERE and see them without hassle. Enjoy.
  3. This release is PERFECT for custom paint schemes!!!!! Can't wait!!
  4. I wouldn't say that the lineart that you linked to is "official". Then again, it doesn't exactly make sense to put a red decal on a red aircraft.
  5. To add to that, I believe the v1 /60's were originally built and designed from carving wood. The 1/48's were when Yamato got into designing their VF's (as well as other toys) with a CAD program. Therefore bringing in a level of detail that nobody has seen in a VF toy.
  6. That and it's not even the TV version, which is the only license they have, unless I'm mistaken. They're "Masterpiece" doesn't have the correct black arrows on the head. HAHAHA!! Fail. Great QC Toynami.
  7. Possible pics of a painted sample can be seen HERE. If these are indeed real, I think its beautiful. REGARDLESS OF ANY ERRORS (Looking at you DH)
  8. Nevermind. Figured it out. Nothing an exacto knife and some thinner can't fix.
  9. Is this thing out yet? Cuz damn...... I want to get a few and do some custom painting.
  10. How does one go about disassembling a 1/48 VF-1J head? I have a loose head laser.
  11. Personally, I can't wait to build one myself. But I also can't wait to see what the Japanese modeler's will do with it! Remember all the new schemes, as well as customs that were fully transformable? Thats what I want to see.
  12. Where exactly does it say it'll be $500? Or is that just speculation? IMO, 500 is WAY too much for this. For that amount, I expect the damn thing to cook toast and make coffee for me in the mornings. The transformation isn't that complex. Way less complex than a Valk. I could see this going for 180-220 TOPS. Anything over that is pure wallet rape.
  13. I really hope thats true.
  14. BadCat and a few other online retailers are now taking pre-orders for the F-14. Average price is $219 w/ $30 (roughly) shipping in October. Hasn't been solidly confirmed yet whether it will be the low vis or high vis Jolly Rogers scheme. Regardless, I think I can safely say....... FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Why ask why? Sit back, enjoy. With a bunch of MW members actually being at SDCC, I figured there would be more and better pics.
  16. I'm hearing that the JSI F-14 is being displayed at the SDCC. So where are the pics?!?! Get to it people!
  17. I think its lame that you're basically forced to register just to see pics of toys that will eventually be all over the net anyways. That being said, I'll take vintage Night Raven over any of the new crap coming out lately. And the new movie looks terrible. The final deciding straw was the fact they changed Baronesses origin to be from Canada.
  18. MW5 Trailer Check out the trailer. Features the Tomahawk. Gameplay and environments looks great IMO. Thoughts??!?!
  19. The Sukhoi Pak FA. To compete directly with F-22's and F-35's. Look's pretty badass if I do say so myself. Couple of pics look like the SU-47 with the forward swept wings and canards. It also reminds me a lot of the older "tear drop" F-19 Stealth fighter models that were out in the 80's.
  20. These deffinately look amazing. I do agree though with the others. The standard VF-171 uses the forward fuselage as you have it now, only less pointy. The VF-171 EX's use an almost VF-25 type forward fuselage and cockpit. Do a google image search on VF-171's and you'll see what I mean. Again, stunning work all around. If you're not in the 3D modelling biz for the entertainment industry, you should really consider it.
  21. Just saw this link via BluesNews.
  22. Ya know.....that kinda works. But still freaky...sorta.
  23. Wow! A little demanding aren't we? In the time that you spend waiting, you could learn how to do these yourself and have (near) instant gratification. Hop to it!!
  24. I have 2 great series for read: by Scott Lynch: The Lies of Locke Lamorra, Red Seas under Red Skies, and soon to be released The Republic of Thieves. This will be a 7 part series when its all said and done. Plus some smaller short stories on the side. All part of the "Gentleman Bastard" sequence. I highly recommend these books. I started them, got hooked within the first 10 pages and couldnt put them down. Another good series is by author Joe Abercrombie, who is a good friend of Scott Lynch: The First Law, Book One: The Blade Itself, The First Law, Book Two: Before they are hanged, The First Law, Book 3: Last Argument of Kings. I am currently on the 2nd book of this series, but I own all 3. It's a fine read indeed. Both authors write fantasy, but GOOD fantasy. Trust me on this one. Websites: Joe Abercrombie Scott Lynch
  25. If you go back 1 whole page.......you'll see links to what you ask for.
