Two things I remember from old old conversations on these boards. 1. I thought I read on the really old boards back when the M+ line was first coming out, that they had to fudge the VF-11 from 1/72 to 1/70-1/68ish to better fit parts etc. As some parts were too small and fragile at the time. So 1/60th for a VF-11 could be somewhat sizeable. 2. I also read somewhere that in Japan they sell licenses according to what scale they planned on building in. So say (as example only) Banpresto decides to do VF-1's in 1/32nd scale. Fine and dandy. But a second company could have the same macross license and produce in 1/55. Pretty much like how Yamato and Bandai were both producing VF-1's but one had a license for 1/60 and the other for 1/55. My point being, if all this is correct, is that Yamato would have to go out and obtain a license for Macross Plus products in the 1/48th scale just so they could produce a VF-11 to be about the same size as all the other ones? Seem's like it would be a costly venture to produce 1 toy, unless they plan on VF-1ing it and releasing a gazillion variations and color schemes. Not that I wouldnt mind them doing that. I want a VF-11 just as much as everyone else.

Ive read the Zahn stuff and liked it. But what I enjoyed reading was the "Tales from...." books. They gave some interesting takes on background characters that was somewhat enjoyable.

Rowling was on one of the US morning shows, Today, I think with that Meredith Veira or however its spelled. She said that she left the Epilogue very vague on purpose. But she did say that Ron and Harry are both working for the Ministry as Aurors, with Harry as the head Auror. Hermione was head of the Law office, and the 3 of them revolutionized the Ministry of Magic in "radical" ways. The Ministry that you know in the books with its secrecy and stupidity is no longer there. Its a completely new and modernized one. Anywho, the girl that was kissing Ted on the train....name starts with a V, she is actually Ron and Hermione's oldest daughter. I'm sure there's more. But thats what I gleamed from the article. You can dig around for it on MSNBC if you want. -

My point is, that they are practically suggesting that if Jedi/Sith can be this powerful, then whats stopping a ravingly psycho mad Sith from just using the force to blink out life from existance?
-
DING!!! Exactly my thoughts. And I have to agree. Stopping a ISD? Nope. No friggin way. I dont care what anyone says. If I didnt see Yoda, Vader, Palpy, or anyone else do something similar or near it, it can't happen. Unless of course they are saying that Qui Gon found the wrong "chosen one".

A while back I did a Hasegawa YF-19 in red Skull 1 color scheme. Looked pretty dope. I'll see if I can dig up some pictures from somewhere.

Ya, I didnt run the whole row of prop craft. After the P40, it kinda went downhill, for me at least. They listed having an F-14 there, but I didnt see it anywhere. Oh well.

Front page at TFW2005 has images of the Autobots from the new cartoon. No sir. I don't like 'em.

I wouldnt comment on the colors as it could just be the white balance thrown off a bit due to the tile and possibly the flash bouncing off the tile behind it. Save judgements on color till you actually see/hold one in your hands. It always makes me laugh when people gripe about colors when the pictures in question were obviously taken by a person with no professional skills and with a point and shoot camera. So save the judgements/gripes/etc for when the official hasbro "professional" shots come out. P.S. I'm talking about the coloring of the reds, greys, blues, whatever. Not the panel lining, which I agree looks terrible.

Your show was a lot better than mine. I saw, and took pics of: 3x P51 1 P40 1 F-16 1 Harrier 1 Avenger 2 P47's etc I was a little upset because they said there was supposed to be an F-14 on static display, but I didnt see it anywhere. I'll post pics later when i get a little more energy. It was hot and the sun beats the hell out of me.

I'm gonna be hitting up a small airshow this weekend in the east county of San Diego. Mostly WWII birds from what I read. I'll take pics of course and maybe post a few.

And whats all this have to do with aircraft?

So I saw this article on MSNBC here, and thought "wow, a 787. I wonder what that looks like" . So me, not being to much into airliners, decided to check out what was up with the 787. My god what a sexy beast. I saw some interior shots on this page, and was completely stunned and in love. Airliners to me, have needed upgrades like this for a long time. Too plain and cramped are todays airliners. They need to make all of them like this from now on.

Go frame by frame for the downtown shot of Starscreams transformation for some Hollywood style "anime magic" (hint: the tailfins)

Maybe the final five are newer "more perfect" skinjobs? -
This movie has never been Transformers the movie. Its always been Michael Bay's Big Transforming Robots movie. Its beyond transformers. I wouldnt even call it GoBots. Megs looks almost like a new insecticon or something. Just horrible.
